So, Apparently Johnny Football Will Start For Als.
Brandon replied to SpeedFlex27's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
What's the odds of us losing twice to Saskatchewan and then to lose to Johnny Manziel... no possible way that we could set the trifecta of all humiliating losses! -
The difference is that JM actually likes playing in Winnipeg and more then likely will be the safer long term bet between the two of them.
-
I completely agree with this. Masoli IMO seems to have massive horse shoes up his ar$e so many times he's running for his life only to dart a ball 25 yards down field to a receiver who makes a great grab.
-
Do you put more of our woes on Matt or Lapo?
-
I'll buy one once they go on massive clearance sale price ..

Can't comment aside from the Ottawa game I went to. He had wide open guys and did not look to them and ended up tossing into double coverage. The 5 int's from last game clearly shows that he is missing by quite a bit!
-
I don't see how Nichols missing wide open guys is because of Dressler... also Harris running for 150 is a guy slowing down and worn out? I see wide open players in w hich Nichols does not see and/or is not hitting them on target. No idea how this is Lapo's fault?

I think the fact of having to extend the drive to and from work by a large chunk of time will over ride the supposed 10 million extra to fix it.
-
The general sentiment from reading in various places and talking to people it seems very pro No. I've seen the other polls which were closer to 80-90 for closing and I believe that is a more accurate picture.
-
I thought they brought him in because he's good buddies with Hellebuyck and he put in the good word? I would also never question the judgment in our scouts since they seem to rarely make a miss.
-
The question is.... would it be worth promoting a show like that in Winnipeg? Would it be able to draw a big crowd? Would it be popular enough to draw people in from Minneapolis or even Alberta/Saskatchewan?

Walmart used to only have the old person greeting at the front as studies showed that having someone making eye contact with a potential thief will scare off a large amount of them. On Regent it used to be like that until the last year or so where now they have a security guard checking bags and keeping an eye. I know that I used to see a lot of people who would come in from downtown and would run out with bottles of hairspray, mouthwash , whatever other solvents they could get their hands on with zero regards.

The WFX place had nice sightlines but I would imagine it would only fit 500 comfortably. It was a nice set up since they had large hall ways and a few other rooms which were good for meeting the wrestlers and selling some food. Convention Center easily could hold it, I went to many Kickboxing and MMA shows and the place has everything that you would need. I'd imagine the biggest issue is the price which is not cheap at all. I also agree with sightlines... lots of tables need to be sold. The U of M place I went to for to see Kenny Omega vs Dan Severn and Billy Kidman and Lex Luger had great sight lines... that place would be the ideal venue I'd think.

Are the Montreal Canadiens handi-capped by language?
Brandon replied to kelownabomberfan's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Quebec City is much more francophone / xenophobic / anti-English then Montreal. I think Montreal could hire a non French coach without everyone rioting... Nordiques on the other hand it would definitely sour the fans to a point where they would boycott. -
This thread makes me sad... people suggesting Taman was good for scouting Canadian talent? Really? I understand the team is stinking it up... but our Canadian talent is probably the best in the league and we are suggesting firing Walters? How about instead of doing that we hire someone with good connections and/or a database not on a napkin and things will be ok. As much as we make fun of Murphy / Kelly era at least Murphy had some good imports (receivers) that could play right away in a shitty confusing offense.

They will have to do something different now that it's very public that they won't stop shop lifters. It will just open the doors for more people. In Thompson when I went to the liquor mart they have 2 - 3 guards at the front door and they prevent certain people from coming in and most definitely stop certain people from leaving the store without paying. When I worked in retail for the most places I worked at we could stop people before they leave the front door and once they leave the building we were not suppose to follow. I wonder why it's not the same for liquor marts?

What about the old Christian TV studio on Chevrier?

The woes of the offense has been more like 70% Qb play and 30% coaching.... Can't blame Lapo for Nichols playing like a complete tool. He's had protection and wide open guys... he just isn't hitting them. I have no idea how you can think that LaPo is a bigger issue over Nichols when a play is called and a wide open receiver is waiting for a throw and Nichols decides to throw it into double coverage.
-
Yikes hopefully everything turns the corner for you. No need for the odds and sods.... I just personally want something to read on the site that doesn't involve pitch forks and firing of all coaches.

So can we start talking about firing MOS yet?
Brandon replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Do they really look that good? They barely won today and their offense looks like shite. O'Shea's team looked better the last 2 seasons then what Riders look like now. -

One is a raw rookie coming off the bench cold with the team losing. The other is the veteran who had starting reps for the last month and was the one who put the team in the hole.... big difference. Overall stats for the season shows the rookie with a noticeable difference in having better stats. -
They won't because of fear of one getting hurt and lack of depth....

Miller has done a real good job. Walters has done mostly a good job, needs some help on recruiting American Receivers but for the other positions I wouldn't complain. I don't think this team needs a massive overhaul. No need to panic and freak out... the last 2 seasons were really good. Team needs help on offense ... maybe one stud Receiver (Darvin Adams is to streaky IMO) needs to be more consistent. Need a new defense coordinator ... players seem to be talented enough IMO. LaPo is a wild card... I'm still on the fence if it's all on Nichols or a joint effort. Clearly Nichols isn't good enough to get it done. For a guy like him he doesn't have the physical tools that can off set shitty decisions. The guy with his limited mobility and not so hot arm needs to be playing at a A+ level in order for him to win at the league. Someone like Masoli and Reilly have the physical tools to at least run for their life and or toss deep bombs that can at least give the plays a chance. I haven't fully given up on Nichols yet, but he needs to sit for at least 2 games to get his head out of his ass and prove that he can still play. -
Is it so bad that we no longer get odds and sods ?

Hall's scheme is what sucks... not the players. We bring in Bighill who is absolutely amazing and we still have issues. For LaPo we are getting better results with a raw rookie then the veteran QB. Running the same plays with the same players. A noticeable difference between how the offense functions with Streveler in. That issue is a player issue. Even yourself you keep saying the receivers are dropping balls. This isn't an issue with the scheme.
