Honestly the biggest underperformance of the season.  I predicted Smith was going to do some good things this season.

That's our own version of…the practice roster.

But he kind of is, because at times the oline has given him holes to run through, all he had to do was run through a leg tackle or make one guy miss and he had plenty of yards in front of him but more often than not, grigsby couldn't run through that leg tackle, always seemed to get tripped up by those little leg tackles that every back in the league runs right through. I always thought Grigsby was kind of an odd one, on the field i mean, how? Well it seemed like he could break the tackles where you think he shouldn't, he could push the pile at times but.. the tackles you think he should be able to break, nope, didn't do it. The little leg tackles, the "shoe string" type tackles, never could break those ever.

I don't doubt that the guy has talent .. needed to be refined and he certainly lacked as a runner in our system .. but he simply has no heart .. he quit when he faced a bit of adversity.  And let's be honest, his numbers this season are more a reflection of the number of carries he's had as compared to his peers.  Volume has allowed him to stay near the top of the league in rushing .. but even then .. he was steadily falling back to the pack.

It's actually quite typical of Grigsby…he got 'bumped' and now he's down and out.

Da fuh? What happened behind the scenes to cause that? I mean I wanted the guy replaced but as always, you don't replace someone until you have a better option. 

Absolutely Zach Anderson, JFG, Sherman, Derek Jones, Neufeld, Briggs ... Zach Anderson is so underrated and ANY competent NI talent that we have under contract should be back.

We have the best kicker in the CFL. I'll give Walters huge credit for that signing.

There were games they could easily have lost early in the season...there have also been games they could've won in the last few weeks.

No .. it really isn't though .. it's a move born out of desperation .. similar to our move to sign Bishop under Kelly .. it's all about trying to salvage part of their season .. and I'm not sure you do that with a 41 year old quarterback who hasn't played a meaningful snap of football in two years.

This potential signing goes against what I've been reading here that Walters is not doing anything to try and make this team better.

Winnipeg leads the CFL in 2014 having led after the 1st Quarter the most times. They have led after 15:00 eight times thus far and have a 5-3 record in those games.
 
- Nic Grigsby 51 catches: He leads all CFL running backs with 51 receptions having passed BC's Andrew Harris (46). 
 
- 3000 yards passing: Last week, Drew Willy became the 14th Winnipeg QB all-time to reach 3,000 in one season, and the last since Buck Pierce in 2011. He leads the CFL in passing at 3,280 yards and is on pace for 4,542 which would rank #8 all-time among Winnipeg passers (Khari Jones is #7 at 4,545 in 2001).
 
- With & Without Nick Moore: Nick Moore has played in just 2 of the last 7 games and the Bombers record shows they have missed his presence. In 2014, they are 5-2 when he starts, and just 1-5 when he is out of the lineup.
 
- Penalties: The Bombers committed season-high (tied) 15 penalties of which 7 were holding calls (4 Offence, 3 Returns). On the season, Winnipeg has the most holding/illegal block calls with 40 but also have the fewest roughing the passer calls with just 3. They also have by far the fewest defensive penalties in the CFL with just 32.
 
- Clarence Denmark: Is one of just 3 CFL receivers on pace for 1,000 yards in 2014 with 750 through 13 games. He is tied for the CFL lead with 7 catches for 30+ yards and #6 with 18 second down conversion catches.
 
- Aaron Kelly: Since being blanked in two straight games, Kelly has caught 19 passes for 210 yards in his last 3 games. It is the most passes he has ever caught in a 3-game span.
 
- 2014 Roster: Winnipeg has had 71 players on their Active Roster/Injured List this season through 13 games. That is already the third-highest total in club history and within 6 of the record 77 players that were on the club's 2013 roster.
   

A big name rock band who are popular and radio-friendly but can also put on a show.

I'm not sure what kind of choice would be a better one. I guess if the CFL scored Jay-Z or U2 or someone like that, but beyond that, who would you say would realistically be a better choice?

(Sure, I have a bunch of bands and artists I'd personally *prefer* to see, but I don't see CFL fans clamouring for Shad or Dan Mangan or Hawksley Workman to play at the Grey Cup.)

my fav thing about the newer CIV's I think it was 4, is that you could automate workers. Let them do the improvements and just make higher level decisions. I don't need to micro manage where the roads go,, I'm trying to get  ready to **** up Queen Elizabeth II.

I saw that Mastodon / Opeth show. Went mainly for Mastodon, I own a couple Opeth albums but wouldn't call myself a fan. Mastodon was good as always, but Opeth blew me away. They were touring their super mellow Heritage album so I was expecting a lot of people in the crowd to be yelling at them to play their older, heavy ****. But the dude had the crowd spellbound with the beautiful and haunting new material, cranking up the tension and expectation ... and then, towards the end of the show when he did get around to playing some old favorites, the place went absolutely bananas. One of the best metal shows I've ever seen. Hell, one of the best shows period.
Still not a fan of Opeth's recordings, for some reason they don't satisfy, but I'd definitely go see them live again.

I've seen Opeth a few times, it may have been at the Garrick I saw them last for the Watershed release.  Which was... forever ago, now that I think about it....
