  1. Montreal is also the oldest team in the league... staying healthy with no depth might be a lot to ask.
  2. Just Hervey's way of saying that Jones better bend over if he wants Franklin. For all the raiding they did from Edmonton on & off the field, the Riders will have to over-pay if they want to make a deal with them... I'm ok with that!
  3. and after we win... peace out Kevin Glenn
  4. It's Bud & Bud Lite that they're selling for $5 so I'm not sure that qualifies as good booze... I'll drink it anyway though!

Punk's marketability and cross-over appeal is pretty much limited to wrestling fans though and a good number of those fans already watch mma. He never achieved Hogan or Rocky type cross-over into mainstream media & he has no other athletic achievements to fall back on. He might move the needle a little bit but it's not going to be record breaking by any stretch of the imagination.
  6. for certain "mature" alberta residents...
  7. Same here. Saw the thread at half time last night and was kicking myself for missing it. Also going with Wpg, Edm & Cal if possible to get in.
  8. Yep, people thought Sochi was going to be a gong-show as well (and it did have it's moments) but this one looks like it's on a whole different level. The Russian athletes might have lucked out by getting banned for this one!

That's assuming that he does a full camp like a real fighter would. Wouldn't be surprised if they eased up on the intensity, just so Punk could make it to fight day, given his history of injuries. If/when he does fight, he'll be a one fight wonder... too old, too beat-up, too raw.
  10. Darren Cameron says Hurl and JFG are both options if Harris can't go so I guess Hurl isn't that banged up.
  11. Vitt didn't get a chance because he was hurt. If he's healthy now, then yes, he could have been an option I suppose. Either way, unless they see Haidara surpassing either of the guys ahead of him, he might not be a long term addition to the team.
  12. Not really. Richards is on the 6 game so there were only 3 Nat receivers available before this move . We have Kohlert starting and potentially JFG so unless you want Bastien backing up both guys, it's a move that had to be made.
  13. It might be a signing of necessity rather than them seeing something in Haidara. If they are thinking about starting JFG (due to Harris pulling up lame yesterday), then that only leaves Bastien to back-up both Kohlert & JFG.
  14. Penton was the one who jumped the gun on Richardson, not Bauming. FWIW, Harris says he's fine.
  15. Or we can just assume they both meant TJ Harris and put a strike up next to their names.

Also not having 2 childhood buddies as your bosses will change things as well. They backed him on everything, right or wrong, so it's going to be interesting to see how much rope the new ownership will give him.

  18. Dillon Guy was BC's property according to that code too but Saskatchewan still grabbed him.

Pretty much. I don't see any reason for people other than Dana to go unless the new owners really want to put their stamp on things. It's said that both groups are leaving that stuff as is.
