Not sure about that, being entirely correct. There are threads out there that go back years talking about what kind of accent it is and most of the talk is on some kind of NY accent (there are different NY accents - Brooklyn, Staten Island, Long Island, ect) or maybe a Jersey one. A lot of people think that because it's not a legit accent, it kind of has elements of different ones (Boston included).

You and your peers are at the tail end of that demographic though, ask someone 15 years younger and see if they remember him as a VJ or tuned into his talk show. His appeal is to a very small segment of that younger crowd, and the ratings would seem to support that. The panel as a whole (not just George) is so bad, even the set annoys me!

That younger crowd that you're talking about wouldn't remember those days though. The young adult tv demographic (18-34) is either too young for that or about to move into the next age bracket.

Yep, apparently there's no concrete testing available to tell how long it stays in your system so there are athletes claiming that they took meldonium when it was legal but are still getting popped. They have to prove to WADA that they stopped when the ban came into effect but there's really no way to do that.

It's not just hockey in Russia that's being hit hard. There have been 114 Russian athletes, in various sports, test positive for Meldonium in the first 12 weeks since WADA made it a banned substance (and that number does not include the hockey team). Their entire track & field program has already been banned from international competition (not good in an Olympic year!) so I have a feeling there will be much more to come.

Looking at our schedule to start the season, I'm not expecting us to be winning more than losing, so personally I won't be too upset. Of course I want to win every game but as long as they show something and like you say, are competitive, I'm ok with that.

Yep, I'd love to see Kenny in the WWE (as long as he was used decently), just never thought it be a possibility again. I was surprised to hear that they had been in contact with him for quite a while trying to get him back into the fold. I guess in hindsight, he left on his own accord, it wasn't like they canned him so I shouldn't be that surprised.

I read an interview Kenny did recently pushing for a match with the New day (building on his online stuff with Woods). Can't see the WWE agreeing to that but I'd love to see it! I also found it a bit surprising that he was considering going to NXT until he was given the chance to be a top guy with NJPW. I know wrestling is a never say never business, but I was sure I'd never see him with the WWE again.

The love & happiness crap & the strange saying he has plastered on all his signs makes call bulls**t though. He also admitted he doesn't even know what the party platform is and only decided to run 2 weeks ago. The Liberals certainly haven't done themselves any favors lately with who they chose to run with (5 disqualified candidates, this guy as well as another candidate who hasn't bothered to learn what the party line is). They have/had a real chance to establish themselves as a credible alternative in the province for the 1st time since the Sharon Carstairs in the 80's... don't know if that will happen now.
