  1. Lawless does a fine job. Look how worked up you all get. Mission accomplished.
  2. Better to trade a fair price for Glenn now than to wait until we are 0-4 and have to pay a king's ransom. IMO. I'd be willing to part with, say, a third round pick and Johnny Sears, if that was enough to get the deal done today.

  4. I still think he ends up in BC.
  5. I will, no question. It will sell out in minutes.
  6. He finished the season on the practice roster, meaning he has been a free agent since the season ended.
  7. He has been off the roster for a couple months iirc
  8. Well, if the regular season is monotonous, that's kinda the problem right there. Right. And having the outdoor games helps to alleviate that. Now you get it.
  9. Yes, when he came into the league. He was Montreal's OL coach for 4 years before becoming their OC.
  10. I wish subway would cut my bread the old way
  11. They added the bagged BBQ flavour a few years back. Absolutely awful. I don't know why they changed it, but I'm glad you can still get the good flavour in the box.
  12. I'll be surprised if he doesn't end up on Winnipeg's coaching staff.
  13. I don't understand why people get all up in arms about these stadium games, I really don't. It's a fun deviation from the monotony of the regular season and I can't wait until we get one.
  14. Most fanbases wouldn't be concerned about their #3 QB needing to win games for them. Unfortunately we've watched our third-string QB start at least one game for us in each of the last 5 seasons. How sad is that.
  15. I wouldn't necessarily assume that. It could be either one. In fact the condition may involve both picks, I.e. if he doesn't start any games it is the lower 4th round pick, but if he starts between 1-3 games it is the higher 4th round pick. Just as an example. It may end up being that pick, or it may not.
  16. Pretty much, Alex Hall and a 2nd round pick for Neufeld and Brohm... ... not really. ...? Did we not trade a 2015 pick as part of the Neufeld deal? we traded our 2014 second rounder Kels may actually be right. We received a 2015 fourth rounder in the Neufeld trade. So it may be that same pick that gets traded to Hamilton for Brohm.
  17. Maybe my numbers are way off, I don't know. All I'm saying is that the owners need to be tough on the players and not compromise this opportunity to finally put the league in a really strong position, financially.
  18. A CFL team is not an attractive commodity. This is why you have one guy owning two teams. Why? Because they barely turn a profit in most markets. Let's get some stability for the owners and maybe turn owning a CFL team into a worthwhile investment. Until then, the players are just going to have to settle for what they're getting.
  19. Makes sense? No, that doesn't make sense. The players are easily replaceable. We're not talking about the best players in the world here. We're talking about the B-list football players and there are tons of them out there. If they don't like the salary they're getting, too bad, we can find another guy to do your job just as well for whatever pay he can get. The owners have all the leverage and they should use it. Caving to the players' demands would be a huge mistake.
  20. More concerned about the health of the league than about whether Dwight Anderson can buy more diamond jewellry. 46,000 for six months work is plenty. Arena League players would kill for that.
  21. There's a million (literally) players that could play in the CFL and we would not notice a difference whatsoever. The owners need to fight hard to keep costs down. I'd be willing to lose a season to negotiate a fair (for the owners) CBA. The players work hard, no question, but we could find plenty more just like them to do the same job. The health of the league is the number one priority here, and it can't be compromised due to one over-inflated TV contract. I would offer to increase the yearly salary cap increase increment from $50,000 to $100,000, and immediately raise the cap from 4.6 million to 4.8 million. More than fair.
  22. His best days were behind him in 2011 when he put up over 1700 yards? Interesting.
  23. Wanna bet? No chance we only have those 3 QBs on the roster when the season begins. Literally zero chance. They will at the very least bring in a young QB from the States, probably two of them. What I meant was that there seems to be little chance of another experienced quarterback coming on board. Oh. Kels said "QB prospect" so I was rolling with that. We may see Kevin Glenn here yet, but you're probably right that we don't bring in another experienced arm.

  25. - Do NCRs (Not Criminally Responsible), once they are released, ever reoffend? The recidivism rate for criminals released from the corrections system is very high -- estimates range from 40 to 50 per cent. For NCRs, the recidivism rate is between 10 to 15 per cent. However, for those NCRs hospitalized for the most violent crimes, the recidivism rate nationally is almost zero. In Manitoba, Mackenzie said he is not aware of any NCR responsible for a killing who committed another violent crime after being released. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/opinion/columnists/making-sense--of-ncr-247992421.html
