  1. I could see a minority by any of the 3. And the minority will just change hands like musical chairs for the next 5 years.
  2. Too funny. Every news outlet has declared a clear winner in the debate and it's a different guy in each one
  3. Wow that is cheap!! Amazing deal really. I love the Xbox One. Rare Replay is a good time but it's unfortunate they couldn't include Goldeneye or anything from the Donkey Kong Country series.
  4. Sorry, I don't buy that logic. The NFL has already passed on them the first time and in a lot of cases their sham degree from "Southern Pinestick A&M" is not going to lead to many employment opportunities in the real world that pay as well as a job in the CFL.. I can't stand this bias against athletes. Find one guy on our roster that is from a school you've never heard of. You miss the point, most football players in the US are accepted to college on athletic scholarships and would not qualify otherwise. Once there, few take advantage of the educational opportunity afforded them and piss it away on a meaningless degree or never complete. With the time commitment they have to put into football at that level it is understandable to some extent but most of these athletes do not leave college with any worthy credentials. If you can associate 10 import players on the Bomber roster with meaningful degrees I will be impressed. Define meaningful. Should have said useful, but anything above a general arts degree would be my interpretation of meaningful. I think your broken assumption is that you need a great degree to get a great job. My highest-earning friend has nothing more than a high school education (makes about $135k/year). And you are making an assumption based on one anomalous outcome. If you took say, 1000 university grads and compared their median income to the average high school grad's income, then you would have a meaningful comparison. I'm not at all denying that the average university grad earns more than the average high school grad. I'm saying someone who graduates from high school can achieve the same level or greater success than someone with a college education. There are lots of very well-paying jobs out there for non-college graduates. Most of these college athletes who graduate with "sham degrees" as someone called them, will have no trouble at all finding a job and doing just fine.
  5. Yes, what we need to do is make our offense more predictable. How does that make it more or less predictable? I'm just suggesting Moore and Denmark switch spots. No you're not. You just said you don't care where they line up, you just want Moore on deep routes and Denmark on short routes. Which is silly and predictable because the defence knows exactly what they're doing on every play. No team in pro football runs an offence that way. What's with the attitude and nit-picking man? Have you ever noticed that Moore is almost always catching passes up the middle this season? Well I'm suggesting Denmark take on that role instead. I'm suggesting they switch roles. I get it. We've seen Denmark try to play that possession role and he's okay at it but not as good as Moore. Likewise Moore isn't as good on the deep stuff. Denmark struggles to get open for some reason, other than on really deep routes. He's also not much of a YAC guy. It may or may not help reduce Moore's injuries to switch their roles but it would also make both receivers and the offence in general less effective. IMO.

  7. It's funny how people come up with their little narratives about players. "Byfuglien is great for 20 games, average for 40, and costs you the game in the other 20!" Like are you kidding me? Not backed up by any facts whatsoever, just "feels that way", right? What a joke. Bottom line if you want Buff traded you're a racist.

  10. That sounds impossible, is there a set of numbers that don't have an average? No but this isn't accounting and you can't learn politics by playing Number Munchers. So the ndp and liberals and communists are exactly the same? The conservatives and reform are exactly the same? How is 17to18 claiming that harper brought the torys further away from the far right of there is no gradient. Just a black and white set of binary ideologies? Not at all. There is far left, left, right, and far right. But there is no centre. And anyone claiming to be "centre" is kidding themselves.
  11. I understand the financial implications but I'd still like us to re-sign Byfuglien. He is such a unique talent. Often he alone is worth the price of admission. Inconsistent? Bah. Every player is inconsistent to some degree. Blake Wheeler regularly goes 15 games between scoring goals but you don't hear anyone whining ad nauseam about that. Maybe it's because Byfuglien looks different...
  12. Steve Morley's an idiot lol

  14. There is no centre. People just say centre because no one wants to be known as left wing or right wing. Every person and organization leans one way or the other. Centre is just what right wing people say who don't want to associate with the homophobic, pro life, pro gun mentality that is associated with the far right. Same thing on the left for those who dont want to be associated with the hippies, communists, bleeding heart no jail no punishment types.
  15. Without having any idea what Castillo can do??I'm sure he can kick converts Yep the most important part of the job for sure. Let's see if you're singing a different tune when he is 100% on converts and 60% on field goals???
  16. We need to let his hit points replenish! After a long rest he should get them all back. Not sure what's taking so long. Can we set him up at the local inn?
  17. Halischuk is on a two-way deal.
  18. I don't know, I don't like rewarding losing either, but the team under Mike O'Shea does appear to be growing and improving. If it's another 7-11 year, or 6-12, it's still a tough call for me. If Willy was healthy we would be at a better record than 4-7, and that's not really on Mike O'Shea, that falls on Walters for not providing good backup QB talent. If we finish 4-14 or 5-13, let MOS go. Any better and I keep him around. Remember Jim Barker went 9-9 then 6-12 then won the Grey Cup. Feels like O'Shea is in the same ballpark.
  19. If you recognize that everyone is biased then you should understand that the CBC is going to be biased as well, regardless of whether they are taxpayer funded or not. Just human nature.
  20. Ya I have Xbox One which is what I bought NHL 15 for.
  21. Well the CBC at least has a reason to be biased as they work directly for the government and there's no question that the NDP or Liberals will be kinder to them than the Conservatives have. Not that I think the CBC really deserves better treatment from the government, just that they will get it from the NDP or Liberals and they know that.
  22. I usually get a game every few years. Since I got NHL 15 it will probably be a couple years until I buy a new one.
  23. Your depth doesn't have to be rookies though. Halischuk and Fraser are two examples of veteran guys who might get pushed to the AHL by rookies. Sure, I understand that. I'm just very wary of going too young, too fast... And that's what I'm seeing right now. Not trying to be negative, it's just hard to ignore. I think our opening lineup will be: Ladd - Little - Stafford Perreault - Scheifele - Wheeler Burmi - Lowry - Ehlers Fraser - Copp - Thorburn With Hali and Peluso as extra forwards. Options for call-ups will be Petan, Cormier, Johnny Albert and Ryan Olsen. Not so bad but still seems a little scary to me. I just hope our prospects are as good as the hype train has made them out to be.
  24. The problem isn't necessarily having 3 rookies in the starting lineup, it's what happens when there are some injuries. You bring up more rookies and suddenly 6 of your 12 forwards are rookies and you're getting pummelled every night.
