I seriously question the value of a late first round pick. When you are trading a player as a rental, it generally goes to a playoff team so the first round pick is in the 16-30 range. Having more picks is always a good thing but I think people overstate the effect on a team that a pick like that will have. I would be more aggressively pursuing prospects who are already a year or two into their pro careers so it is less of a crap shoot. First round pick sounds great but not all first round picks are equal.

The difference is that Durant basically hasn't played in 2 years now. Ray and Willy at least have taken significant reps and Ray showed he can still play and is healthy. Ray has gotta be way higher than Durant at this point.

I missed the part where you commented on his job as president. The question was not how much you admire the man, but how good of a job he is doing as president. Of course we don't know the day to day operations so the only way to judge is on what the public has seen since he took over.

The traditional heel and face roles just don't exist anymore. Fans will cheer whoever they want, regardless of good guy or bad guy. Look at Kevin Owens. He's a heel but people love him. Is that good or bad? I'm not sure. Times have changed. Ask 10 fans what WWE "should" be doing and you will get 10 different answers. Ask a month later and you get 10 different answers again. Personally I haven't read a Bombers article since the FP paywall went up and I don't miss it at all. I watch the O'Shea pressers and follow news on twitter. It's shocking how little there is to gain from reading traditional sports articles these days.

Bowman was outright released near the end of 2010 because he couldn't catch here... I believe he was being called a "coach killer" by the fanbase. The drops had gotten really bad. Edmonton picked him up immediately following the season and then he started tearing it up the next year.

So was Bogosian. Copp is nowhere near untouchable. I doubt they would move him but let's be realistic... If the right deal came along then they would move him. As for Enstrom, that would have to be a deal made after we are out of contention (we're still in it) because you aren't going to get a better roster player back. Picks and prospects sure but not a guy who is a better player right now.
