  1. I think he's both
  2. Do you think some NDP supporters are backingn away fearing a Mulcair majority and moving to the liberals? I don't know, not really. Why would NDP supporters fear a NDP majority? That seems odd.
  3. Bryan married a WWE Diva Brie Bella with expensive tastes not to mention her sister Nikki dates John Cena who makes a ton of money. I don't know if that marriage can survive a 75% loss of income if Bryan can't wrestle anymore. Brie is the down to earth one. Not to mention she still works. And Bryan made a ton of money in WWE. If he leaves WWE, he's getting huge paydays in New Japan and ROH. He could survive and prosper on Indy dates alone for the next ten years. In WWE, the wrestlers have to pay their own road expenses (hotel, car, food). On the Indy scene, the promoter bears those costs and the talent also gets 100% (usually) of his merch. Some guys make more money the first couple of years out of WWE then they do in it. Good luck to Daniel then. I just hope the doctors who cleared him to wrestle have malpractice insurance. If I recall, the doctor who has cleared him is well respected. The issue is the WWE doctor who has come under suspicion by CM Punk. And that issue has impacted WWE in that they dont want to be looked at as clearing someone who shouldnt be. Its all a bit over-zealous in my opinion. Not that long ago, 60+ guys were working. Now they are hyper-sensitive, ever since Lawler had a heart attack that had nothing to do with his fitness to compete. Flair has said WWE cleared him for contact also. Sting had no issue whatsoever. Hogan wasnt cleared (supposedly). WWE is public now so I get it to a degree. Especially with broken down broke-ass jobbers suing them left and right. But thats a by-product of the NFL players getting a pay day over concussions. WWE will always be biased. Like why a guy who was well known as being straight edge (Punk) was routinely drug tested and how Hunter managed to never be tested and was huge into his 40's. Hunter seemed to quit the business as a wrestler pretty quickly. he can't be more than in his early 40's. Looks to be in terrific shape. Did he quit because of his continuing & evolving role with the WWE Board as well as overseeing developing the tv shows in NXT & WWE or was it health related? Gawd, I don't want to see Flair in a wrestling ring again. He's out of shape with a big gut, shrunken muscles, is too old & looks terrible. I want to remember The Nature Boy as he was in his prime with the long perfectly coifffed blonde hair & not the way he is now. Hunter did just wrestle at WrestleMania and looked okay during that match. However there are rumours that he has to wear adult diapers and it's not a good thing for a wrestler.
  4. If we can get to 6-12 or better, O'Shea keeps his job, IMO. However Bellefeuille is as good as gone.
  5. Edmonton had a lack of good interior Canadian OL but had a few experienced American OL around. Edmonton is probably moving to a 4 NI OL with O'Donnell back in the fold so they can afford to get rid of an American tackle. But more than anything, this trade was Greaves for a second round pick. Capers is just a throw-in. He may never even start a game for us.
  6. I'm feeling a Liberal minority coming
  7. Well Edmonton didn't even draft him so he'd probably just be playing there now anyways.
  8. Rottier cant stay in the lineup since he got to EDM He only missed 4 games over 2013-2014. Really his biggest chunk of missed time was from when Khalif Mitchell tried to rip his arm off.
  9. If they're starting an extra Canadian OL, they'll need depth. You're right, I was thinking of O'Donnell at guard but I guess they'll be playing him at tackle. So now their line could potentially be Washington - Greaves - Sorensen - Rottier - O'Donnell with Danny Groulx and Alex Krausnick coming off the bench. That's a huge upgrade over what they've been playing so far this season.
  10. I find it weird that they would make this trade when they just signed Matt O'Donnell, and Simeon Rottier is close to returning.
  11. That's a good list from the era I grew up with. Great list actually. One name I'd add would be Razor Ramon because he was just awesome.
  12. Ziggler used to be one of my favourites but I feel like he's kinda losing it. Back in early 2014 when WWE did a house show here, his match with The Miz was the best match of the night, IMO. And looking back at the card from that night, it was actually a star studded cast. Wyatt Family vs The Shield, Kane vs Daniel Bryan in a cage, Batista, Big Show, Christian, Del Rio, the Rhodes Brothers, the Bellas. Alicia Fox, Sandow, Kofi Kingston..... and the best match for sure was Ziggler vs The Miz. You could tell they really put their hearts into it.
  13. Hey, we picked him up in the 5th or 6th round, got years of service out of him, and have now flipped him for a starter-ish, and a second rounder. That's pretty impressive. Sure its not a bad result, better than cutting him in his first training camp like most 6th round picks. But I'd rather have a competent starting left guard than a second round pick at the moment.
  14. Wasn't Greaves a defensive tackle? I find it hard to believe that he was drafted with the intent of him playing tackle. That's what was said at the time. Apparently, he has really long arms... I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers stuff like this. Mack/Lapo definitely said that they thought Greaves could potentially be a tackle down the road.
  15. I like this trade and I hope it means we are considering starting 3 American OL. It's too bad that we put 5 years into Greaves and then he's gone for a second round pick but what can you do? Gotta make a move if it's not working out anymore.
  16. Sure, and that's what I'm hoping for. The team needs him to step up in a big way. Chevy is putting a lot of pressure on the young guys to carry more of the load.
  17. I would say you expect 55-65 from a number one center.... Not really elite, depending on your definition of the term, I suppose.
  18. Really good stuff. Certainly I considered Randy Savage for my top 5 stars of all time. New Day is definitely entertaining in and out of the ring right now, I think Big E in particular is doing a great job. I love the inclusion of Kurt Angle on your list. One of the great all-time heels in my opinion. I've never been a Ric Flair fan personally, I never got the hype. But no doubt he is one of the biggest stars.
  19. I'm expecting 55-65 points from Scheifele this year, maybe 25-35 from Lowry. Lowry is the more physical player of course but Scheifele has a higher skill level and is also stronger defensively. Scheifele just needs to get a little tougher but for now he is a tier above Lowry, for sure.
  20. Bombers just signed OL Cam Jefferson to the practice roster. Spent time with the Bears this year as a UDFA. Played left guard most of his college career which was split between UNLV and Arkansas (both Div 1 FBS). Could maybe help out the interior of our OL which is desperately needed.
  21. Interesting, good stuff from both of you. TUP, I'm going to lay down some categories for you and my votes for the top 5. Biggest star of all time (guys that the fans are specifically coming out to see): 1. Hulk Hogan 2. The Rock 3. Andre The Giant 4. Stone Cold 5. The Undertaker Most entertaining (not necessarily technically best wrestler) in the ring right now: 1. Dean Ambrose 2. Seth Rollins 3. John Cena 4. Kevin Owens 5. Cesaro Most likely next champion: 1. Sting 2. Sheamus 3. John Cena 4. Brock Lesnar 5. Roman Reigns
  22. We cheer and forget our problems for one week.
  23. Exactly. 17 to 85 seems to have this erroneous reasoning that by keeping a Berry or Mack with the organization for a sufficient period of time it will bear fruit in the form of long-term success. In reality, patience will not be rewarded by tolerating mediocrity year after year - it will just result in more mediocrity. Every team in the league won't tolerate losing for very long (proven if you take the time to review each team's history) - they will fire the personnel responsible for the team's underachievement and move on to new coaching/management.The Bombers have been mediocre for so long because they have hired inexperienced/inept coaches and management the past decade plus. It has nothing to do with not showing adequate patience for the inept coaching/personnel. Which, I'd argue, we had no choice but to do because no qualified/experienced coach/manager wants to come here because we are a coaching graveyard that fires people constantly and shows zero patience...No kidding and how people still don't get this is crazy really. So how did Hamilton get Austin? Look at the Ticats hiring and firing record over the past 10-15 years and it's no better than the Bombers'. Money talks. Identify the right guy and move heaven and earth to get him here.
  24. Isn't that kind of the way it always goes?
  25. I'm thinking DB-type. Maybe Washington or a practice roster guy like Kearney. Maybe even Lin-J Shell, as he has played the spot before.
