  1. What is elite in a 9 team league? Top 3? Top 5? He is neither of those...I disagree.Collaros was the hottest QB in the league before he got hurt and in my mind is #1, and Burris had a great season this year so that puts him at #2. (Of course Burris is just as likely to crash and burn next year like he did last year.) That leaves Mitchell, Harris, Reilly and Durant in the 2nd tier of QBs. (And possibly Jennings from BC? I did not see enough of him to say.) Willy is easily in their league. If you put any of those guys on the Bombers offence this year what do you think would’ve happened? Statistically speaking, if you extrapolate Willy’s numbers for an 18 game season he is right up there in the top 5 QBs. He would have had approx. 4100 yards, 24 TDs, 9 int., With a QBR of approx. 100. And that's with Bellfool as OC. You missed Ray. And I don't play the "if he had stayed healthy, he would have had..." game. That’s okay that you don’t play that game, but if you want to compare QBs and rank them, you kind of have to. I understand that every QB could add numbers to their totals in this way, but there is really no other way to compare.Ricky Ray in his prime was elite and I would have wanted him over anyone out there. He is no longer in his prime though. Going into next season he will be 37 years old and on the down side of his career. At this point in their careers, I would stick with Willy. It is my opinion that with a competent oline and a competent OC, Willy has the tools to be a top 3 QB. Fair enough but he hasn't shown that yet. Hell we chose Willy over Burris because Burris was on the downside of his career and now Burris just had one of the best years of his career and very well may win the Grey Cup. Now we're saying the same thing about Ray. Hmmm something about not learning from our mistakes.... Yes he has. When we is healthy is near the top or the top in all stats. He hasn't done it over an entire season due to injury. But when he's in there, he's one of the best. If a guy is never healthy can you really make that argument? I'm assuming you are counting the last half of last season as him not being healthy because his numbers were certainly not top of the league. In fact his numbers over the past two seasons have been eerily similar to Buck's first two seasons with the Bombers (chronologically reversed). Another guy who people liked to play the "when he's healhy he's great" game with.
  2. Why isn't it comparable? Assuming Ray goes to FA. If not then yes I would agree it's different.
  3. Burris didn't have multiple shoulder injuries. Also, we did try to get Burris.Of course he didn't. He is the most durable quarterback perhaps ever to play in the CFL. Hey we could have used a guy like that. And yes we tried to get Burris. Until he got offered more money, then we gave up. Great. Now Ottawa won as many games this year as we have the last 2 combined but I'm sure glad the Bombers saved that money on Burris. Really helps me sleep at night. You would actually rather have Burris right now than Willy? Is that a serious question???? Yes, 7 days a week and twice on Grey Cup Sunday. He's going to be hoisting the Cup at IGF anyways, may as well have been with the Bombers.

  7. What is elite in a 9 team league? Top 3? Top 5? He is neither of those...He so obviously is Ray, Burris, Mitchell, Reilly, Collaros.
  8. The movie was called "The One". Or maybe only in a parallel universe.

  10. Personally I think Titus O'Neill is awesome but I'm not sure too many people agree with me.
  11. Showed the Fla Panther logo for Carolina too
  12. I'm wondering what they will do at survivor series. Just the final match, or the two semi final matches and then the final? It would be a shame if they only do the final. In 1998 they did the quarter finals at SS as well but I think that was a little much.
  13. Really tho they set themselves up for this silliness by having 16 slots. Too many guys out. Orton, Cena, Rollins, and as mentioned Lesnar isn't a real option. Wyatt and Taker/Kane are busy. And what's with all the clean finishes?? Let's see some drama. It's like they're just going through the motions.
  14. Maybe. Sheamus has been a bit of a joke lately though. I would agree that the first round has been pointless. When you have to fill slots with Kalisto, Titus, Tyler Breeze... It just looks bad.
  15. The lamest thing of all about the tournament is they don't even appear to be throwing us any early upsets. Like if a guy such as Ziggler is not going to factor into the final match, why not let him lose to Tyler Breeze in the first round (or preferably someone more palatable like Finn Balor).
  16. Is Lapo been O'Shea? Frankly is anyone been OC? Bellefeuille was? And is no more. Who is now?
  17. Neville is in the tournament so maybe he will be champ?!?! ☺
  18. Lol spends a page talking about wrestling then scolds me for having it in the wrong thread. Ok. lol Is this the right thread for wrestling discussion? lol Nope but you've posted about it several times and then have the gall to criticize me for posting about it once. Typical hypocrite act from you though so I'm sure no one is surprised.

  20. You think Roman is a ratings mover? I don't. It's time to do something different.
  21. I like Moonraker and Goldeneye.
  22. I think everyone is expecting Reigns or Ambrose to end up with the title, or maybe a guy like Lesnar or Cena if they can swing it. But I would go in a totally different direction. What's the biggest act in the WWE right now? The New Day. Put the title on Big E.
  23. MJHL is worth watching. Basically a step down from the WHL. Lots of Manitoba guys that couldn't quite make it in the WHL end up in the MJHL and some of the top players from Manitoba high school hockey as well, although most of them end up in the MMJHL. I believe the eligible age for the MJHL is 17-20 whereas the WHL is 16-20 and the MMJHL is 17-21 with the stipulation that you can`t be a 21 year old rookie (to prevent WHL and MJHL over-age players from flooding the league after their final year). The Steelers play in a nice facility. The Blues of course play at the Iceplex in the main (Winnipeg Free Press) rink which is nice too but nothing like Selkirk's arena.
  24. As for me... Time to drop the bomb. Blow it up. Kyle Walters isn't the guy. I believe O'Shea could possibly be a good coach under a new GM but I don't think any new GM would keep the old coach so we have to blow it up. I don't have the answers but Walters isn't the right guy to guide this team back to respectability and we were naive to think a Canadian "special teams coach/general manager" was ever going to do that.
