  1. I have a nutrionist and she recommends milk to me. I don't believe she's trying to kill me. She told me that the hormones and steroids used will only harm you if you're injecting your milk, rather than drinking it. Otherwise your stomach is capable of getting rid of it during digestion. So my advice is don't inject your milk and everything should be ok...
  2. I wonder how a guy his size would hold up in that spot over 18 games? Newman isn't even 200 pounds.
  3. Will he be the CIS/CFL version of Shawn Merriman? Look like an absolute beast until he goes off the juice and turns into just another guy. A guy who comes out of nowhere to blow everyone away at the combine, then tests positive for steroids, would have me thinking twice about using a high pick on him.
  4. My neighbour that I mentioned earlier who went organic has also decided gluten free is the way to go. Cutting it out doesn't do very much for you, and can actually be worse for you if you're still eating the same kinds of food but with the gluten removed. The more I post in this thread the more I'm tempted to walk across the street and punch him in the mouth.
  5. He hasn't been in the playoffs, but I agree he's generally a very underrated player. Imagine how good they'd be in they had Harding healthy and back in net.
  6. Penton was on CJOB with Toth tonight. He hasn't talked to anybody with the Bombers, so it's just his opinion, but he thinks there was a bit of a disagreement between GM/scouts and Etcheverry over whether or not he should be on the roster. That's why it took so long to happen after the camp was over. He said the mgmt guys were telling him how much they liked him after the camp, so it had to be the coaching staff.
  7. IMO a prospect doesn't mean depth. Depth to me is having players around who can fill in if you're in a pinch. The Jets, for example, have a lot of depth on D, with eight or nine guys who can play in the NHL. The Oilers don't have six guys who are good enough to play D in the NHL. If I was the Oilers GM, I'd bring in a guy like Matt Greene . He's big, tough, good in his own end, & he probably won't cost a lot of money. I think he'd help those young dmen a lot. Tom Gilbert is another UFA they should look at. Bringing them back would fix a couple of their previous mistakes when they let those guys go.
  8. I wonder if people are going to be willing to sign here if they pick up a reputation of just dropping guys before giving them a chance. The optics just look really sketchy. I don't know that it's gotten to that point yet. There haven't been that many guys cut, and they did get to watch these guys at the mini camp. It's not a real camp, but it can give you a sense of whether or not these guys can run well enough to play on a CFL field. but if it becomes standard procedure what effect does that have long term? And to be quite honest I would hope that these professional football scouts could tell if a guy can run well enough on a CFL field before even offering a contract. Fair enough re the scouts. I agree it's a problem "if" it becomes standard procedure. It's too early to worry about that now though imo.
  9. I was reading Penton on twitter & he thinks we should expect a former Etch mlb in camp. Who are some of those? Rey Williams?

  11. This does seem really surprising. I wonder if he asked to be released? Maybe he was one of the guys O'Shea was referring to when he talked about being too big with "NFL weight". Does this mean we sign McCune? I have so many questions...
  12. Is it? What changes have you noticed in your health since changing? Ha, I hesitated to post "that word", because I knew it would spark discussion, but that's good…right? As to the health benefits, how about better sleeps, no need for ex-lax (know what I mean?-know what I mean?), and the food is fresh. But I'm not going to sit here and tell you that I can suddenly leap tall buildings or run a few extra miles, but I do know the sense of eating free-range or grass fed products does have a psychological advantage, and to me, that's healthy. But if you want proof, I can't help you there. It's all a personal choice and all I can tell you is, it works for me and my wife. You must eat the organic food that doesn't cause you to rage out. You should pass your information along to Logan. Whatever works for you. I generally don't care what other people do as long as they don't feel it entitles them to lecture me for not doing it.
  13. This is a good example of the preaching we get from them now...
  14. That's basically how I feel about it. I have two neighbours who have gone organic and the only thing it's done is turned them into douches.

  16. The Safeway in Southdale is changing over to Co-op in approx. two weeks. They've agreed to keep all of the Safeway employees.
  17. I've always been a Safeway shopper. I'll pay a little more to avoid the crazy congestion of Superstore. I'm in Southdale & that Safeway's going to be a Co-op. It'll be interesting to see what the rebates at the end of the year are like for the groceries & their pharmacy.
  18. Very true. The last Labour Day I went to we ended up taking a wrong turn going back to our hotel (possibly due to intoxication) and ended up virtually alone. We were 90% sure we were going to die a violent death.
  19. Same for me. I'm on MTS as well.
  20. It's funny you said that b/c I was taking about this with a friend of mine yesterday. It's basically a lateral move, but it would give both groups a breath of fresh air. Lateral my ass. Thornton and Marleau are way better players than the Sedins. Without question they were this season. Take a five year sample & they're not though. We'll see how they look again without Torts at the helm.
  21. Isn't it an opinion?
  22. Except that the stats show Etienne had more yards per game than Kelly did.... Mike isn't trying to pimp Etienne here, simply saying that Kelly was less productive yet people ran Etienne out of town on a rail so why does Kelly as an import survive? Once again... Kelly came in cold and outperformed Etienne. Kelly: 9 games 321 yards = 35.7 y/gm Etienne: 7 games 265 yards = 37.9 y/gm
  23. Kelly was pretty decent in his first month as a Bomber, then more or less disappeared. I'm glad they didn't cut him yet though. If the new guys are better let them show it throughout camp & the preseason.
  24. Sometimes it seems like the CFL is trying too hard to change things up.
  25. you sound like someone from the other Bombers forum site. Do i? I don't have an account there. What did i say though that wasn't true? why should i trust fans opinions over bob wylies? Everyone knows you're "theedge204" from over at the other forum. It's pretty obvious. That's definitely what I thought. The wordiness of some of his posts gives it away.
