That's flawed logic. The trade was only a bad one if we have to give up more than what we got for our 2nd rounder.

Was there an incident that was a tipping point for this, or you've just had enough of it? -

no YOU'RE dumb... It's "your" dumb, Einsteen! -
Anybody who doesn't think the worst Bomber home game of all time was the 2009 Banjo Bowl is crazy. Never had a worse gameday experience in my life. I do agree though that the Boltus experience vs BC was really bad. Count me in as a Max Hall fan as well. I'm comfortable with him as a backup. If Glenn was cut, or the asking price was reasonable, I'd bring him in, but what the redblacks are asking for now is crazy.

Agreed. Getting rid of the option year window was a big mistake. I find it surprising that the CFL big thinkers thought it was a good idea.

Great Bombers article from Gary Lawless today
sweep the leg replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
He's a terrible interviewer. He doesn't know how to ask a proper question. He starts almost everything with "Tell me about..." rather than asking an actual question. Lawless is too agressive and gets caught up in his own ramblings. He'll lose what he's taking about when he goes off on his rants. He's also bad for cutting Hustler off. He can't handle having to wait a few seconds to say what's just come into his mind. He's better in print b/c he has time to put his thoughts together. -

Or at the very least they have to be clever insults. If I'm going to read through this I expect better than #mack=loser. -

The CEO hands out the cash, but it's the GM who decides how it should be spent. By most accounts, he's doing a very good putting together the football ops. It doesn't matter what you think he should be making as a GM. Point is he could have taken more money for himself and chose instead to put it into areas that would be more beneficial to the team. You seem to have the same MO as Lawless lately. Nobody will accuse you of cheating on Mack if you say something good about Walters... -
Bombers sign QB Robert Marve (unannounced)

Sounds like he has a tonne of talent. He just needs to get his head on straight. Hopefully he's willing to spend some time on a CFL pr. -

I doubt it. My guess is Etch would take care of it. -

Good stuff. Glad he can be part of the team again. Hopefully he knows how to coach a rb. -
Why no threads created about the signing last week then? I just didn't really get around to it. Get your **** together. Leggett sounds pretty impressive.

Luongo traded to Florida for two nobodies
sweep the leg replied to kelownabomberfan's topic in General Discussion
Right, my mistake, they are household names.... Markstrom is a pretty well known name. A couple of years ago he was being touted as the next big thing in net. Dominated in Europe before he came over here and became mediocre. -

Markstrom, Matthias, & a 1st round pick for Luongo, Schneider, & a couple $million/yr is retained salary. How much longer does Gillis keep his job? -

the companies even justify it by saying the customers prefer the smaller sizes... because if they left the sizes they same they'd raise prices and customers hate rising prices. It's also up to them to keep us from getting fat(ter). They know what's best for us. -

Buck Pierce set to announce retirement today
sweep the leg replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Loved the guy. I'd be happy for him if he found another job in football. -
Exactly. Who knows what they mean by equitable. Until we hear about their first offer I wouldn't just assume that they're more than happy to hand it over to the players.

The CFL B List? Then why do you watch? No one is forcing you. Find another sport you can grumble about salaries while calling the CFL bush. Who needs you? Hey the North American Lacrosse League needs fans & they pay their players peanuts so it's right up your alley. Go follow it. Why does acknowledging that the CFL doesn't have the best football players in the world mean he shouldn't watch it?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/psychiatrist-pitches-unsupervised-selkirk-visits-for-vince-li-1.2549481 "Li had undiagnosed schizophrenia at the time of the incident, in which he stabbed McLean and ate parts of his body."

Drunkeness and schizophrenia aren't comparable. You only get to choose one of those options.

He chose to not take his meds? I didn't know that, I thought he was just undiagnosed prior to the crime. To me that's the biggest thing. I don't remember the whole story, but if you choose to go off your meds you should never see freedom again. If he was undiagnosed, it's an entirely different situation. I would still never let him go completely unsupervised though. Make him check in every night to ensure he takes his meds would be my solution.

I dare say Bluto does not share your opinion of his performance in Toronto. was surprised he made another teams roster, let alone an active player. he was only ever a depth guy on our "injury list". when we finally had enough actual injuries an were forced to call him into service, he immediately showed that we'd be better off giving someone else his spot. I think I remember you giving him a better review than that we he first came here. Not glowing by any means, but IIRC you considered him at least serviceable. I'd search for the post but 1) I think all traces of you have been removed from OB, & 2) I don't care enough.
