Holy crap did we dodge a bullet with Burris. I hope everyone remembers how I kept saying what a terrible idea signing him would have been... That was one of the worst football games I've ever seen. This season as a whole has been pretty underwhelming.

On the Rider front, I just saw that Getzlaf is questionable for this weekend.

Just saw a tweet from CFL News that says a deal to move the Argos to BMO field is almost complete.

That is a pretty understanding/nice move by O'Shea.

Eskimos are massively overrated. Their defence is pretty good but their offence truly stinks. That sounds like a better description of the Riders, & I don't just say that b/c you're a Riders fan. Relying solely on the run won't work, imo, against the Stamps or Esks. Their passing game has to improve to beat either of those teams. The Esks offense hasn't been that bad. Not great, but not terrible either.

Calgary is the best team, but Edmonton is right there with them. The first game was very close, and the Esks were without their starting qb for the 2nd game. The Riders have to sit in 3rd until we see them play one of the top two teams.

It's insanity that you can lose a full season for smoking pot. The NFL is too high & mighty in it's quest for purity. If he'd beaten his wife unconscious to release his stress, he'd be back by week 3.

I hate the idea of expansion, but the league has pretty much set themselves up for it with the change in divisions. I'm sure they don't plan on having unbalanced divisions forever. There will be a lot of new NHL jobs opening up. I played a bit of Junior 20 years ago. Maybe I still have a chance?

I thought this too, but now I'm not sure. O'Shea was very non-commital about who plays between Kromah & Kuale. He said he wouldn't announce it until they're getting on the bus to go. IMO that sounds more promising for the new guy than the guy defending his job.

O'Shea said on the coaches show tonight, when asked about Hall, that he didn't want players on the team who don't do what's asked of them. He compared him to Peyton & Montford, two pass rush specialists who complained about their roles in an Etch D. It really doesn't sound like O'Shea wants him.

Agreed. I don't even think he's the best receiver in the league.
