Years of continued excellence doesn't capture attention the way turning a team around does, but it should. Being among the best year after year isn't easy, but people write it off like all that happens is a team gets good and they can put the cruise control on. For close to a decade. Higgins would be third on my list behind Jones & Huff. TBH, his coaching staff should get an award for what they've done in spite of him. He did some horrifically stupid things at the start of the year and should disqualify him from winning any awards.

For sure he deserved some of the flak he took in the past, but the team as a whole didn't play well defensively. They take some of the blame as well. Of course it's not all his fault. Nowhere did I suggest it was. He's had hot stretches like this before, and always regressed back to his .900 self. Hopefully this time is different, but I have to see it before I'll believe it.

Agree with most of this, but I strongly disagree they're equally crazy. Equally biased sure, but the crazy factor coming from Fox News & their ilk is something else. Who on the left can compete with Glenn Beck & Rush Limbaugh? The heavy coverage of "death panels" early in the Ocare days was something else.

Probably a conicidence this announcement comes on the same day they announce next year's ticket price increases.

From what I've read about the 2015 draft class, it looks much deeper at OL than receiver. If Demski is head and shoulders above the next receiver in this class, he might be worth our 1st rounder. We could still get a quality OL in the next round.

DL for sure. We've really struggled to get pressure in the 2nd half of the season. For receivers, I think Moore and Denmark are a good 1-2, and Kohlert has a chance to finish in the top 20 receivers this season. I'd go with Watson again as our 2nd NI receiver, but draft his replacement this year. I'd also be looking for a new 3rd import receiver. Doesn't matter to me if it's a FA or new recruit.

how many times do we have to go over it? He's hurt... Banged hand, shoulder, ankle... Maybe more. You need a broken arm to be able to justify his last two games. That said, I'm certainly not on the dump Willy bandwagon. He'll be better next season. I agree with most of you that in the big picture this season wasn't a total loss. Lot of good pieces have been put in place. Add a few pieces on both lines and we might have something.
