  1. Now it's not all on him, but to me it seems like Jarvis Jones did a hell of a lot of good things for the line today... how the hell has he been off the roster the entire time?
  2. On the one hand it was great to see them shake off the adversity and come back and take the lead until the end... but it was also a lot harder to deal with the loss after seeing them claw back in front.
  3. Considering that the team was pretty good on D all game and has been decent throughout the year and the teams biggest weakness is being able to get the hard yards when they're in short yardage I think you are assigning too high a % for success. Remember this team has failed to convert 3rd and 1 multiple times against worse defenses than the Riders. Nothing is guaranteed in football, all you can do is make plays when you are put in a position to do so and the defense utterly failed at the end of the game. I would have gone for the 3rd down gamble personally, but that's just my attitude, I didn't have a problem with O'Shea taking the lead and trusting his defense to win the game for him. They had many chances to make it happen and didn't c'est la vie.
  4. I would suggest that with the **** show going on last season that judging a player based on that is not the best course of action. I would suggest you are wrong. Lots of players weren't disinterested and continued to play as well as they could. and by lots of players you mean 1 or 2? Cause I saw a team that at the first sign of adversity would pack it in and just let the other team walk all over them. Then I guess you need new glasses ... or I haven't forgotten just how bad things were last year....
  5. Grigsby was good at picking up the blitz today. When Willy got into trouble with pressure was usually when he didn't have a target open right away and things broke down from the OL vs. DL.
  6. Why assume the Riders didn't make adjustments after the first TD drive? if they'd connected on those plays Marcel would have looked brilliant. pull the riders D in on the short stuff early then exploit them over the top when they move up. Sadly you still need to execute no matter what it called.
  7. I told you all in chat, blaming the loss on not going for it is absolutely stupid. The defense needed one stop, instead they let the Riders march the entire field to score... I'll say it again for the slow people, the defense let the riders march the entire length of the field to score. blame them for not being able to get a stop when needed nothing else. It came down to them in crunch time and they failed.
  8. so you're saying we've got them right where we want them?
  9. Sadly it's still not as bad as the winless streak in Calgary which stretches all the way back to 2002. The culture of losing has to change. These streaks are ridiculous & embarrassing. Coaches & players have to have a some pride to say Enough is enough. Not good enough to go to Mosaic & McMahon Stadiums, lose by 3 & be satisfied with a close loss... Or especially a 52-0 shellacking like 2 yrs ago this weekend anymore. It's time to start winning. Nothing less. According to O'Shea's philosophy the Bombers are on a one game winning streak, not a 10 year losing streak. There should be no carry over if his players "buy in". According to O'Sheas philosophy they're 0-0 going into the game. That win last week is ancient history and all that matters is winning today so they can be 1-0 until they get back to practise when it'll flip back to 0-0

  12. The coaches quit on the players before the players ever quit on the coaches.
  13. Matthews would be a luxury. We don't need him. With Moore being off and on hurt and Kelly pulling a disappearing act I don't think luxury is the word you meant.
  14. was the attitude that the coaches were ridiculous and no one wanted to play for them? Cause that's not a bad attitude, that's just an astute observation.
  15. Sadly it's still not as bad as the winless streak in Calgary which stretches all the way back to 2002. wow. did not realize that either. I did. Largely because I've lived in Calgary since 2003, and have gone to every regular season game we've played here, and have yet to see us win. Really hope we break both trends this year.... Willy seems like the guy to do it. Since 2005 here and not only do they never win, they rarely ever play well. Usually it's a dirty beating.
  16. That's how you know your football team is some kind of bad, when players turn down that kind of money and prefer to go to Regina.Dressler turned down a higher offer from the Stamps as well. So what's your theory now?Chemistry with Durant, familiar surroundings, good relationship with management, playing with a contender. It's that simple. I will go with a lot of under the table money from local businesses as the maim reason. probably lower cost of living, I very much doubt the stamps were offering as much more as the redblacks were rumoured to be offering.

  19. That's about as bold a prediction as the latest reebok jerseys. Avoiding mistakes has been paramount in the CFL for quite some time now.
  20. The best way to keep your qb clean is to make plays all over the field. Make the defense adjust to what you're doing.
  21. What??? Meant to say "there". Typo on my part. Flames own the Stamps & President Brian Burke's son was gay. Burke is now a huge proponent of welcoming gay players into both hockey dressing rooms & football locker rooms. Cornish mother's a lesbian. He was very vocal in his support of Michael Sam coming out just before the NFL Draft. Of all CFL teams THEY (Stamps) would probably be the most welcoming. Hopefully my post makes sense now. It seems kind of sad to me that this discussion is even happening in this day and age
  22. By hook or by crook just find a way to pick up a win here. These games are very very important if you want to make the playoffs.
  23. So bold and exciting, the kids will be lining up to get into the stadium to watch the team that wears these electric jerseys.
  24. AH! you missed LaPo's coaches' Corner. It's amazing how much that guy learnt since being here. Didn't help them win the game though
  25. Unless Kuale is sending opposing players to the IR he's useless plain and simple.
