Main Camp Day 3 (Reports and Discussion)
Personally, I could care less what RB's and receivers do when there is not full contact. All you can judge them on is their route running/cutting and hands, the other half of the game is doing it when you're about to get rocked by someone. The RB's might look great now, but if they can't break a tackle they aren't of much use to us. Kelly should do well in 1 on 1's or skelly, this is what, his 4th CFL training camp? With the same OC. Kelly is pretty much a one trick pony at WR, fly route jump ball, never productive coming into the field. If he's our best option, Danny Mac should go on another road trip.

TSN Panel (Randorf leaving TSN)
The poor guy always has the look of someone who just wants to fall asleep but keeps getting startled awake by someone/something.

TSN Panel (Randorf leaving TSN)
Who else would you consider? The only other guy I can think of who I could see on national TV is John Shorthouse. Beyak is brutal, Kevin Quinn too, Joe Bowen is probably a little too eccentric. TSN has Miller locked up. I don't think they are going to toss someone straight to national broadcasts who doesn't have experience doing regional work.

Orlesky and Scianetti are both awkward on live TV, Orlesky is fine on the sidelines for CFL, but really rough on the Jets broadcasts. Orlesky is actually really good on the radio too when she guest hosts, knowledgeable and clear. Can't see either of them getting the CFL hosting duties though.

Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
I don't believe the league will move at all. It's take it or leave it now, and if the players cost the owners real money by walking out, the offers will get progressively lower, specifically when it comes to the ratification bonuses and immediate SMS limit increases.

The only runner. Might be starting if Watson can't stay healthy.

Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
I don't understand the point of not letting the members vote, along with withholding information from members. It would be pretty ridiculous to take job action when the sides are speaking the same language with a gap in money, without taking the offer to the membership. Either they accept and it's over, or they vote it down and now you have a mandate for job action. In the end, the PA executive is representing the players. The fact that they are taking strike votes before taking any offer to membership just shows how they've lost sight of their purpose.

When I joined twitter a few years ago I started following him cuz I thought he'd have good CFL info.... this is the reason why it took about a week before I unfollowed For me it was the shot by shot live tweeting of tennis matches....not what Twitter is for. I bet he got his account locked a few times for the volume of tweets.

Rookie Camp Day 3 (Reports and Discussion)
Could he pass a basic test about journalism? Transparent attempt to create controversy, and really no need for it. O'Shea is a pretty laid back guy in temperment, and Friesen is really going to try to publicly antagonize the guy on his second day of training camp? Can't the guy complain behind the scenes if he really disagrees with the media policy? If you want to start a controversy, talk about the number of hamstring pulls in 2 days. Too much, too soon?

CFL Draft Day Discussion Thread
I'm willing to part with our 1st rounder next year to get him. I'm not. He's a role player at best in the CFL, he brings little to a pass rush which is about 70% of the game, at least until he loses a whole lot of bulk. He's also 28.

Retired Numbers/Championship Banners
Another feature from the stadium design that was chopped/delayed for when they have a few nickels to rub together. They had most of the posts set up outside the stadium to honour the Grey Cup teams, but didn't finish it, that's on the southeast corner of the site where the patch of field turf is outside the stadium.

Ted Laurent expected to sign with Ticats
Has Hamilton violated the SMS once? Every team is spending within a $300,000 window on players. If you're appalled at what Bob Young spends, you should be appalled by every team.

You can have him. Total douchebag move he made on HAM. If they didn't know he was leaning heavily towards finishing up with the Bisons and trying the NFL, they were the only ones. So why did he "clarify" his position by saying the quad injury and NFL stuff wasnt true and expect me to be at camp and ready to play ? Then flip flopped again ? Here's a quote from Gill, "clarifying" It's been well known the last couple seasons that Gill was getting looked at by NFL teams and obviously as any football player would, he wants to pursue the NFL. Everyone says they'd be happy in the CFL, hell Duvernay-Tardif gave interviews saying he'd be fine playing in the CFL, but when the NFL calls they all head south.

That money is getting spent on players whether Laurent signs with the Ti-Cats or not. It's not like the Ticats are spending more than the other teams in the league on players.

Depth Chart
What do you think of them using Tate at DE JBR? you hate it as much as I do? Don't really have an opinion on it. We'll have to see. Etcheverry isn't constructing a defense to play the run.

Depth Chart
I feel like they are basically ready to cut Swiston, although he might stick around just because we have so few NI OL.

Bulcke would get Hamilton a pretty good haul in trade, but hard to say if Bulcke would accept a trade, he has a pretty lucrative education to fall back on. They also have Gascon-Nadon as depth at DE, and a few draft picks who aren't yet on the roster (Gaydosh, Gill).

Unannounced names from this weekend
Is it 2 UDFA's from this draft year, or 2 UDFA's regardless of draft year. That could be a loophole for Hajrullahu.

Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
Why not just let teams dress 46 guys if they want and scrap the reserve list altogether? Only added cost would be travel for road games, but if that's an issue, a team can travel with less than 46.

Free Agency - 2014...
Toronto cut Jerious Norwood too. Wonder if he's done in the CFL, he was pretty good last season.

I don't think they'd be working full-time for the teams. Probably pay them to be on-call during games, probably a few thousand per game, 81 games x $2500, $200,000 per season for the entire league, something in that range.

Depth Chart
wild can also long snap and did it quite a bit last season. True, I think we want a specialist though. Wild would be good in a pinch.

Depth Chart
That depth chart is directly from the Bombers? Interesting that they are looking at Swiston as a tackle and Pencer as a guard. Also interesting that we have 3 interior guys who are imports. Import centre looks like a strong possibility, but how the OL comes together is all going to depend on how confident they are in Neufeld at tackle. Looks like we're rolling with one conventional LB and a whole lot of DB's most of the time. Scary that we only have one long-snapper, and he's in his first pro camp, I suppose we could do some maneuvering to get someone else if he struggles.

New loge seating at IGF
Haven't seen them in person yet, but damn I don't think they need to take up more concourse space, it's tight as is.
