I mean who the **** cares? Teammate doesn't throw his buddies under the bus. The only say he should have on personnel is how he feels about certain receivers and just advisory for the personnel guys in free agency or deciding whether to bring guys back. Doesn't seem like they've done him that courtesy lately based on what's on our roster today.

The highly rated college thing is kind of joke. He was on a watchlist for an award for centres that like 50 guys were on. There's only 300 NCAA teams. Coaches send in noms. 1 in 6 guys who started at centre in FBS that season were on that list. 9/10 of them never played pro football. No but mostly because there's no one in camp pushing. Again...who is being blocked here? All the guys who can play got on to roster and a lot of them took big roles as the season went on. The talent level in our training camps has been an absolute joke. Receiver and DL are real flash points IMO. Charles Roberts didn't start a game at tailback until the East Final of his rookie year. Arguably the best tailback in Bomber history. Eric Blount and Troy Mills blocked him I guess. People want to dress a team full of rookies and expect to win? No mostly people get disappointed when they actually see the guys they are hyping. Few live up to it.

Lawler would have made a huge difference. Collaros had basically one receiver he trusted for most of the season in Demski. Wilson he has good rapport with. Sterns it was developing. We had no big targets, catch radius guys, and we have a QB that is fixated on taking vertical shots. Lawler is probably the best guy in this era for the style Collaros thrives in. If you're going all in you keep Lawler and probably go hard at someone like Geno Lewis. You have Lawler, Schoen, Lewis. For the most part the rest of the free agents wouldn't have changed anything for us. It was a lot of pretty average DB's and OL. Like if we sign a David Beard are we a better team? Probably not. We got probably the 3rd best DL available in Vaughters. Ceresna was always going to Edmonton and they paid out the nose to try to bring most of Toronto's DL west. The fail here is 3 seasons of needing to improve the bottom third of the roster and find/develop the next round of impact guys. What do we have to show for those training camps? Ontaria Wilson? We're recycling DB's now, we've got no impact DL, a couple OL who look ok in Randolph and Vanterpool. Wallace might take a step next year just in time to get paid.

Like who? Again look at the free agent list. A lot of guys who made very little impact. Edmonton and Ottawa signed everyone. Where were they? Keep Lawler is the main one. Maybe go nuts to sign Geno Lewis too. The next best receiver was Hollins who is busted up and barely played, bounced around the league this year. Main thing is scouting and recruiting. Which has been in steep decline since 22.

I think Adams is an explosive athlete who has made little to no progress on knowing what the hell is job is on any given play in 2 seasons. I don't think he's particularly useful. But yeah they could use more useful DL. I don't think they should have just sat on Person and Adams this year with Woods being up and down healthwise. Get guys in until you get what you need. It's hard with the way the NFL is now to get people up, but we certainly waste a lot of time on a lot of really poor American players. Wheatfall another example. Guy is producing a ridiculously low level for an American pushed into a 2-3 receiver role in a lot of games.

Yeah it was nice to play against 3 different tackles and a useless QB too.

Who's a player here not on the roster that you think would have made a major difference today? Maybe Jenkins off the edge. Who else?

Once you get out of the top 10 of free agent rankings from the past couple seasons it's littered with guys who have been benched and cut. You can search up cfl.ca or 3 Down if you want to audit. Free agency isn't a way to build a team. The Bombers have had massive turnover since the 22 Grey Cup, each year since. It's honestly part of the reason why they are less competitive. They haven't back filled with young players who are developing into solid pros. Rookies have had tons of opportunity here. Some have taken it, some aren't good players at this level. But we focus on the whipping boys who have been here for awhile. Yes they've had a hard time telling everyone their time is up. Like to me Neufeld and Bryant should have been gone after 23. Jefferson I wouldn't have brought back this season. I'm not sure who you guys think is being blocked here. Like where's the all-star team of guys who haven't made it here in the past 3-4 years and are tearing up the CFL or NFL...even UFL.

The only real impactful move they could have done differently in free agency 2025 is do what it takes to keep Lawler. The rest of the internal guys you're looking at guys at the end of the road moving on or all the JAGs sitting on Hamilton's IR. Really should have been planning for this Grey Cup coming out of 2023. Start rebuilding the lines, and really rebuilding them. Like basically start from scratch. We seem to have real issues finding Americans other than DB's. Been 2-3 years with huge holes in receiving core. Have found one real CFL player in that crew when we've been easily 2-3 short for a couple seasons. I think Jenkins could be a real special CFL edge rusher. Name names.

Disagree. I think there are major changes coming on the roster and honestly have been the past two years too. They’ve just been league worst at finding Americans who can play and gain trust to get out there out of camp, including free agency. We’ve changed a coordinators every off-season for 3 years straight. Rebuilt both sides of the ball with almost no success. Special teams finally got back to being impactful this season. OL needs total rebuild. They’ve tried to rebuild receiving corps but massive fail there. Wilson about the only guy they’ve added in 3 years who’s developed any trust with Zach. People want Collaros head but there’s no real alternative from Day 1 2026. Start really thinking succession. Get some actual targets and protection.

You can fill in the blanks on Danny Mac but he’s arguably the best example of the old boys club issues going on in this organization. Everyone who has done 5 minutes of due diligence on him for a job where he’s a face of the organization even up to OC has walked away. And it’s not totally related to how he understands the CFL. He’s someone who needs to go here and has for years. It’s funny for the people claiming others in the org are inept and toxic pushing him as a candidate for a leadership role in the front of a professional organization.

McManus would be all time dysfunctional organization. Think of what the job of GM is. He’s not even good at the personnel part. Why hasn’t he got hired? The pool isn’t deep and he’s been in the shallow end for 15 years.

Willie is borderline useless if the QB doesn’t throw the ball right at him.

I’m sadly at a point of believing the CFL is on a descent to irrelevance steeper than any time in the history of the league. And I have no faith in really any of the leadership including Wade Miller to get the nose of the plane back up. There’s 2 of 9 markets that are stable and able to pay their bills from operations. The core fan base is in decline and there’s really no broad strategy to change that other than bastardizing the sport and moving it more and more to being a spring league. All things that kill the brand rather than build it.

I don't even put any value on this depth chart because if Demski is out they will make several moves.

Bo has played the whole 2nd half of the season like he's holding a giant dump in.

Sask has the most accredited media members by a long shot. Keep that in mind.

Problem with Vaval is he's just as likely to fumble or gaffe that leads to an opposing score as he is to bust one.

Wilson is not a toolsy QB at all. Out of 20 passes, 1 was great. That's ******* horrific for any QB at this level. He can't pass on the move and the only reasonable skill he has is running off a rollout/boot. Low velocity passes, poor accuracy, poor decisions. Can't put the ball on a guy. Any pass over about 5 yards is a lob or in the dirt. Guy has zero confidence is his own arm. There's not anything to develop there on a guy who is 28 by next training camp.

We haven't played Montreal with a QB. I'd way rather play VAJ in November.
