  1. I don't think I've ever seen a team come apart like that on their final crunch-time chance, especially in the playoffs. Even the worst teams in the CFL can get lined up when they get down to crunch time, it just seems like basic football competency. and most of these players have played in front of bigger crowds than the IGF one. Bombers played down far enough to give the Lions a longshot 60-second drive to redemption and the Lions were just flat-out were not ready for the opportunity. TSN talked about the numerous second-year starters on the team, implying that's a young team by CFL standards. Some of them definitely got an opportunity to learn a lesson yesterday. A couple times during the game I noticed that Bighill was blitzing while WJ was dropping into pass coverage ... looked like they were trying to bait throws to crossers running through Biggie's space...
  2. 2021 health stuff can go to hell. Congrats on being well and enjoy your 1/30000 share of the crowd HH.
  3. man why didn't I take up my pals on the offer of Kraken tickets today ... could've worn a bomber jersey and gotten some high fives...
  4. HH to the Winnipeg crowd that basically closed out the game. Completely discombobulated Rourke and the Lions. TBH I'm shocked at how badly BC was prepared for noise but I'll credit our side with it and move on.
  5. team with home field advantage gets to pick uniforms, right?
  6. so the thing I wanna know is ... do we wear our road whites for the Grey Cup? 2-0 in Grey Cups with em...
  7. all those Collaros / Clements parallels ... great scrambler, accurate passer, great vision ... and now the WF injury and Grey Cup week injury watch to boot...
  8. Typical Bomber playoff win ... we play dominant but find a way to make it dramatic.
  9. Winnipeg crowd gets the Happy Honker here, killing two plays' worth of clock in the final minute.
  10. Dru Brown has been clutch, we're gonna close this out.
  11. I didn't think Oliveira would be elite, I thought he would be a ratio-breaker who wouldn't hurt us on the field. But this performance is Harris-esque.
  12. love seeing that patient little sidestep at the LOS that got Brady into the clean lane ... Oliveira's game has really come together this year.
  13. on our own 40 in a game our D has controlled. Not the right time to **** around and hand BC an opportunity to reverse momemtum.
  14. another great Sheed block turns a zero-yard play into a five-yard play. dig that Suitor is highlighting Bailiey in the run game.
  15. like a freight train. thought the BC guy had a chance to struggle for the first down but like you said, nope.
  16. to think that Butler was the guy I was worried about going into today ... after seeing his burst against Calgary I thought he could gash us ... but our run D has been pure armor. can't use that second level burst if you never reach the second level.
  17. I hate what happened but I love that the CFL has a five-point touchdown scenario.
  18. love that iso of Bailey playing fullback on that Demski run.
  19. nice isolation by TSN on the GOAT with the tiny little block that springs Grant..
  20. to get back to the game talk.... I agree with folks here that there is no way on paper that BC competes with us. Their prize QB didn't play well against us when he was smashing the rest of the league. Their OL is leaky at best and kid Canada is scrambling about 80% as well as he did in the early going and his throws seem to have about 5-10% less mustard on them. And their RB with his legit unreal burst has a gimpy leg. Butler is a guy who could really hurt us, given how we've been gashed by guys like him. Sure give em credit, the Lions made some plays in the WSF and Rourke made some throws and had a tidy and productive game, and those BC receivers are freaking pitbulls when the catch is contested. but they also got hella lucky in that game because the opposing coach was Dave "Shoot Myself In The" Dickenson. so yeah in conclusion I am feeling super relaxed about the WF. This means we are ******* doomed. I'm sorry, my bad.
  21. for me it's the tale of two t-shirts: the swaggerville t-shirt was a flashy side hustle by a bunch of guys who were hyping themselves after an unreal half-season run of defensive awesomeness. but it wasn't sustainable, it was a flash in the pan. (tbh I wanted one super bad but I didn't ever hear back from Jovon about international shipping) the GOAT 24 t-shirt they rolled out last year was a tribute to an unsung hero on the team who is the best in history at his important, obscure job, and the big men on the team were all rocking them. QB out there hyping a special teamer... you love to see it. (was GOAT 24 a player-only thing or did the Bomber Store sell it?)
