Who are the good tacklers in the CFL? Every week I see guys laying out big body blows, but good one-on-one form tackles seem rarer and rarer. I'm not sure if this is true or if it's something I just read, but it seems like since full-contact practices were limited tackling has been real iffy in the league.

I think the watermelon uniforms are the equivalent of our cammo ones -- came out during the 2014 leaguewide uglification. Don't think they wore them again after 2014. Anyway to bring it back to Stamps v. Bombers, I think the Stamps unis this year look primo -- bold red and clean white, shoulder stripes add a touch of flare without being obnoxious. Even their thirds aren't too bad, although they do the pajama thing.

The Roughriders use white pants on their retro alts -- I know I'm gonna get manure piled on me for this but I think their alts look pretty nice, probably the best you can do with green and white. They look like real throwbacks and I bet they would pop on a telethon broadcast.

oh yeah, I get what they were doing and why, it's just funny how bad both teams look on that sequence -- Edmonton repeatedly gets burned on the boundary corner ... and then Harris figures out one throw too late that he's been made.

I just watched the highlights because I'm not as strong as the rest of you. The sequence where Harris threw to the same corner 4x in a row, with the last one being intercepted in the endzone, was pretty weird. Don't think I've ever seen a QB lock in on a piece of turf like that before.

I think the uniforms are best ranked in tiers: S - anything 70s-80s looking. Royal blue or white jersey, gold pants, gold helmet. This is the way. B - 50s/60s retros. These are plain and unremarkable but at least they look like football uniforms. C - 2022 all-blues. Not a fan of onesie-looking pajama uniforms but they get some points for getting the color right. D - 75th anniversary gold + white pants. Not hideous, but pretty bad. gold is a trim color, not a primary color. E - the pigeon-poop camos. Plus one for fresh outside-the-box thinking. Minus several billion for pure failure. Bury them at the crossroads so they will not haunt us again. F - 75th anniversary gold + blue pants. those satin not-quite-navy blue pants are grotesque. Ryan Dinwiddie is thankful for these uniforms because his dead-duck interceptions were not the ugliest thing on the field in Grey Cup 2007.

I'm a big nerd for those emulators -- such a trip for those machines from my childhood to rise from the dead! And $9.95 is a really good price for a turnkey Amiga emulator that includes ROMs and games.
