Thanks dude. This is what comes of listening to too much Suitor. Thing I noticed in the LDC was that Zach was frequently breaking contain and rolling out into free space after the play action, so it looked like successful RPO to me -- the plays were getting Zach out of the danger zone behind Kolo and into free space where he can do his Zach thing.

people blame the lack of Brady carries on playcalling -- but in an RPO scheme the QB has the option to pull the ball and throw it. Zach gets a vote too on how Brady's used, and given that Brady had beaten the Als pretty much singlehandedly the week before, the Saskatchewan DEs were opting to crash down on the run more often than not. Zach put up some beaucoup yards and three TDs with his arm -- we almost beat them without our best player being much of a factor. Sucks to lose, but we showed we had a passing attack even with our ragtag receiving corps and leaky pass protection, which is way more that what I expected.

I would have preferred a win.

agree with Booch -- I think Wilson's play breakdown is pretty good, especially for a sideline reporter. He zeroes in on the key elements of the play and points out the error or the achievement. No sugarcoating. I remember a game this year where Edmonton's OL was getting absolutely perforated ... Wilson broke down the breakdowns crisply and did not hesitate to call out the guy making the mistake -- one of them was an OL caught flatfooted by a stunt / blitz who gave up a lane right into Fajardo's lap. As an on-camera personality I think Wilson improves the broadcast. As a twitter personality, whatever.

You're not wrong -- Wolitarsky wouldn't solve our "no Kenny Lawler" problem ... but he would solve our "starting Concoran" problem.

Wolitarsky has dressed for two games this year. I think the TiCats figure they don't need the national depth at Wolitarsky's price tag ... given that K Smith is playing well and BOLO seems to be fitting in well at WR5, plus they can plug in Johnny Augustine or AML at RB if they need to pump up their national count on O. Seems like a no-brainer to bring him back if he's healthy.

Karen Gillan is a cool action movie actress. So good on them there, nice bit of casting. No possible way they can find a soundtrack that matches up to the original, tho.

I ran the numbers a couple of seasons ago and CFL teams then dressed 10-12 different receivers over the course of the season. I think one team hacd a terrible injury run and dressed 14. We're just over halfway thru the season and we're at 9 different receivers (Schoen, Demski, Wheatfall, Sterns, Clercius, Concoran, Cobb, Case, Mitchell) so if our luck holds we're going to be starting Mike Miller at boundary slot in game 18. With the short passing game currently in vogue in the CFL, receivers are going to take a lot of punishment and seems like you've got to have a real deep bench there.

Morgan outperformed my expectations. He made some nice throws downfield. Was expecting a wide side pick six from him tbh, that's a rite of passage for raw CFL QBs. But he looked a little overwhelmed running tempo at the end of the game. We got the win and didn't give up many points ... but I was still troubled by the fact that Morgan had such a clean pocket to operate from.
