I don't think that Darryl Moose Johnson was striving to provide a thoughtful overview of non-NFL pro football in North America. I think he was just doing his job and hyping his loop. edit: so basically what jay said.

I think the line between a successful CFL starter and a bum is extremely thin. That's why veteran QBs can lose their mojo so suddenly, especially after a serious injury. Like imagine if Doug Flutie was a quarter second slower at processing the game? He'd be a short yardage specialist or gadget quarterback instead of a GOAT.

Remember Casey Printers and Jonathan Jennings -- those guys were fantastic in their first years in BC too -- but they crashed and burned afterwards.
