They showed a replay in the stadium where the camera must have been lying on the turf that showed it pretty clearly being trapped.

Even after that lengthy delay after they showed that replay I don't even think the crowd was that into the booing

Just rewatching the game and yeah the last replay they showed was the one from ground level...and while it was the best view, imo, it simply doesn't meet the definition of "conclusive". You don't actually see the ball touch the ground/any pebble fly. Obviously my opinion is worth squat.

In the 3rd and 4th quarter several times he pouted to the refs looking for phantom calls

I literally said out loud to myself..."does that guy come up whining to the refs after every sack?"

It was pretty obvious from every view but there was a camera right at field level that showed it 100%.  It bounces off the turf and back into his numbers without him having control of it.

We're talking about the Bomber's game, right?

I feel like in any sport where there's a version of a "Command Centre" that can intervene challenges are basically useless now.  More likely to further penalize yourself by killing a timeout.  Need something that's such a simple call and so obvious for an overturn.

You may be right but It would have been nice to get half as many angles on it as they gave the Bonds non-interception instead of one from outside the stadium.

It's the right call...but someone paid to referee football games should be able to make that call in 30 seconds.

Granted it may have been the right call but there was nothing on replay that supported it. Every angle was either motion blurred, too far away or blocked.

The guy is controversial in the traditional sense for sure. He does seem to know the X’s and O’s of the game and is as good as anyone out there rationalizing them. Us older generation May think he comes off as an asshat for his comments on what is bringing the game down , but just maybe this is what it needs to get the new generation more involved, I don’t know only time will tell. I get super annoyed when he talks of the major differences in the CFL as opposed to the NFL. Might there be something in it though that us old guys are missing and to get more youth to start following CFL the league might have to consider some radical changes!

His takes aren't gonna chase any league fans away from the games so they're unlikely to do any harm, expect, perhaps to him. Even bad opinions can lead to positive results.

Luke Wilson at it again on social media. He said the Argos-Rider game was crap despite the walk off KOTD. Too many penalties & qb sneaks. He called Bob Irving old after he criticized Wilson's take on the game in Toronto. Wilson said he still loves Jon Ryan even after his former teammate supposedly ripped him on a social media podcast yesterday. Is the Luke Wilson experiment working?

The game wasn't terrible but the KO return ending really was cuz they missed a clear block in the back that should have nullified it. You hate to see a team fight to come back only to get corn-holed by the refs...I mean unless that team is sask.

I was of the mind of 'what the hell are we doing trading for this kid Peterson' at the time....After seeing his performance last night I can see what we liked about him

Perhaps a reminder that at times coaching and management have a bit more insight into a player's abilities than we do...as much as we might hate to admit it...lol

that too...More Buck...Lapo used him as a QB and knew what he could do....Buck tho.....eeeesh....garbage

Astonishing to think Buck just used him as a battering ram. I wonder if Strev would have come back if Buck was still the OC this year. Gotta be hard to be used like a mule when you know you have some thoroughbred tendencies.

It was 100% Strevs voice yelling "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!?!" ...DT asked him about it after the game and he just laughed it off. Said in the heat of the moment, he gets intense.

HardCoreBlue provided the rest of the comment and with the context it sounded less arrogant and more "F U. I don't take that ****"

The parabolic mic picked up Streveler giving Betts **** in the fourth quarter. That's okay, Betts isn't even a Top 5 DE in this league. All he can do is rush the passer & we pretty much shut him down last night. He makes way too much money for what he gives the Lions.

I heard the jawing but I couldn't tell who to attribute which comments to. I heard stuff like "Do you know who I am?" I assumed something that arrogant was coming from Betts.

I've seen a number of people comment about how letting Janarion Grant go was a huge mistake.  It's easy to say that in hindsight now, but with the injuries he had suffered and basically being out for half of the season last year (and possibly the year before as well), the team made the decision that it was time to move on from him, just like they did with Jackson Jeffcoat.  At the time that the decision was made, it made sense to go that way, so griping about it now is just sour grapes.  The fact that they weren't able to find a decent replacement is a totally different issue.

That's certainly one way to look at it.

Toronto saw/knew all the same things we did and went with him and it paid off pretty well.

Another example of coaches/management with better insight/foresight? Dumb luck?

I really thought MOS would keep his job after winning the West Final and going to his 5th straight Grey Cup. But, it's clear he's not a good coach, has lost the room and is both too tough and too lenient, trusts his vets too much but also doesn't listen to them. Thanks MBB!

I get you're being facetious...but that description reminds me of a quote I always try to remember.

"I may not know the secret of success but I do know the secret of failure and that's trying to please everyone"

There may be some aspect of that at play here.
