Look forward to seeing Postma play again.  This might be his best chance to force his way into the lineup if the coaching staff is unhappy with Chiarot.  Can he play the left side? (He's a right handed shot I believe?)

His team is going to miss the playoffs this year.

The jets probably played their best period of the year so far in the third. Play like that for 60 minutes and they win way more than they lose. 5 of 8 on the road trip but I'd say only 2 good periods in total. First vs CBJ. Last vs Ottawa. Jets need to pick it up soon cuz right now... they might be in the playoffs but if they keep playing only 1 good period every couple games... they won't be. Buff had his best game of the year. Trouba looks brutal tho... I wouldn't sign him to a long term deal just yet... maybe if he'd take the klefbolm deal tho... 7 years 28 million cuz he's regressed big time so far. His best year was his rookie year by far. You can get away playing bad against non playoff teams like cbj and Toronto and still win... you can't do it against the playoff contenders tho. Next week is huge... outside of Philly this Saturday.... road games vs Nashville St Louis Dallas Minny... can't play like they did the last 4 games and beat those teams

Apparently this injury is a national tragedy the way everyone is reacting to it! lol

Do we really want to see 8-6 games like it was when Gretzky played? Guys with average talent were 35 goal scorers. Above average players were scoring 50. Then the superstars 60 & more. The goalies back then were terrible. Defense was running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The NHL-WHA merger lowered ythe calibre of play as there weren't enough good North American players to go around. Only the influx of Euros in the late 80's & 90's brought the talent level back up. I'd rather watch a well played 3-2 game of today than a ragged 9-7 or 9-8 game from 35 years ago.

Almost as big a joke as keeping the team in AZ.

I thought Trouba was the only D man worth his salt tonight. Hutch was left alone out there and doesn't deserve a game like that but every team is going to have a few of these games every season....the question is how are we going to co me out next game?
Buff, Myers, Enstrom, Chiarot and Stuart ALL sucked big time.
Have to get ready for the Leafs and sens on back to back games again...

Signing Andrew Harris and firing Marcel Bellefeuille will get fans excited. 

Buff was just awful. Really lacks the effort out there at times. Stu is the fans whipping boy but him and trouba both played well tonight. Buff was really bad tho.

So, how much were the refs fined for their putrid performance?

Probably what you would have said had I suggested the players in the Kane trade...

Maurice called Burmi out twice after the game yesterday. One for his penalty and then he said Lowry and stafford had a good game but didn't mention Burmi

Agree but thing with buff is he takes these penalties in the last 2 minutes and then plays all dumb like he thought it was ok... that's what pisses me off about some of our guys... Burmi was another with the elbow and was like what me. I'll give Burmi credit because on replay he actually saw what he did and was like yeah ok that's a penalty but buff... man guys brain dead at times

I don't care if Buff was a +30, he made a bonehead play that could easily have cost the team valuable division points. A selfish play no matter how you cut it. The guy was down and out already. Two minutes left with a one goal lead....

Plus minus isn't a good Stat Tho. A guy could be jumping on the ice and have nothing to do with the play and that's plus 1. Buff almost cost the team. Second time he's taken a really dumb almost dirty penalty in the last 2 minutes of a game. Didn't cost them this time. Also he was on the ice for 1 of minny goals. Penalties are costing them. Thorburn should be benched and mau needs to talk to buff or not have him on the ice in the last 2 minutes. Also trouba and Stuart were awful... stu was better. Trouba just sucked. People were talking 6 million a year for trouba but so far... I'd offer him 4 at the most. If that. Just isn't getting better

Trouba rocks? Really? Arguably the worst game I have watched him play.....A good player but not tonight.
Buff just had a selfish, selfish penalty that cold have cost the team points. I hope Maurice says something to him.
I thought Hutch played okay and made some key saves.
Chiarot had his best game of the season so far.
LLW played well and Wheeler continues to excel.
BLS line all played well and I think Scheif's line will really start to dominate after 40 or so games of playing together.
Great to see that other teams cannot key in on one line.
Staf and Wheeler were the best but I hope we don't see too much of the Buff -Enstrom pairing any more. Not 5 on 5 anyway.

Team does NOTHING in first Q of must game, at home.
All star Stanley Bryant looked pretty bad today (he had company)

Wheeler is our best player. Hustles every shift. Real captain in my opinion. Somewhat held back by Ladd and little in my opinion. I like little tho. Ladd looks to be regressing big time Tho. Slow. Gassed. Something ain't right there.

Stafford signed for 2 years. Fro wanted 5. Makes a difference
