  1. Are we ? We lost to and expansion team ? Isn't it more painful to give up hope that they might be better and then pull it way ( our hope ) its actually tougher to watch than last year at least last year Tim Burke was more fun to listen too MOS has the same answers everytime...And last year it wasn't as disappointing since we didn't think they had a chance in the games...
  2. Its not all on the online but having said that I think it dumb to go with 3 INTs when they are that bad ?
  3. Players without a good system won't succeed either just ask Doug Brown he wrote an article about CAL and their systems and schemes... At this point the Bombers are running a very unique system on D and generally it has worked even with some weak spots... However their Offensive System has been letting them down.... Marcel B. needs to scrap whatever playcalling he has ... he stinks at calling a game. Maybe Buck P. could talk over as OC ??? On One player will Not turn this around ... it more of a coaching problem IMO... forget Ben Heenan can we trade for Calgary's Coaches or sign them in free agency ?
  4. Not sure I follow is EJ saying he was taken out in the game targeted in the game ? Or is he saying he was targeted by Tweets ? Or by the Refs ? Maybe all 3 ? I didn't see his first penalty but the roughing the QB was a penalty IMO...
  5. 6'2" with a 40 inch vertical, not bad, could stand to put on a few more pounds though. Yes the 40 in vertical is excellent and he has nice speed and his 3 cone times are good, he looked good in the video ( but don't they all ). I am not too worried about the weight look at A. Kelly he can play and he's 6'5 190 or so... Main thing is can he run good routes and separate... We need another Moore Clone and physically he is about the same size and speed...
  6. Kind of reminds me of Brazzell when he does that. Just wait until it gets cold. To me Grigby is a great change of pace RB but not an Everydown RB he would need to put on 10 pounds and toughen up to be and everydown RB IMO. I like him but as others have suggested if the wind blows too hard he goes down... We need someone that has more power and toughness if they are to be an every down RB... Maybe Volny wouldn't it be nice if he could actually do the job but we will never know because some players never get the chance and some players get too many like Watson he shouldn't be starting when JFG was outplaying him...
  7. And the Bombers favour Americans on the Oline ( As bad as it is )
  8. I love your comments so true... And instead of lowering his should when contact is coming Grisby often tries to Jump over ???
  9. Yes Romby had his best game but overall I haven't been impress and I was a fan of bring him in. I just think the offense needs a spark and McGuffie might be the ticket and who else would you take out ? Or the bomber should start 2 Internationals on the Online and just add in McGuffie. We are not the same offense without Moore in the lineup so just trying to think of who else might be a spark...
  10. McGuffie Time ? Time for Some Hurdling ? Time for a Spark ? Here's an idea Sit Romby and play a younger faster heavier player that will try and break tackles instead of avoiding them. Rombys time has passed he can still run yes but he doesn't go into the tough areas and he doesn't seem to have chemistry with Willy...
  11. Last year our Oline came together once January was out for a bit and Jones went to LT then when January can back he went to RT ( Jones ) and down the stretch the Oline played very well. In my opinion January has had a poor year overall he always seems to be banged up I know he is a trouper and plays with pain and he is a good leader but I am seeing an average player these days he isn't nearly the player he was a few years ago I am not sure if his body is breaking down or what is happening but I am wondering if its time to make more dramatic changes to the oline like starting 3 Nationals and possibly sitting January or move him to an easier position ( RT ) And I would like to see the 3 hour brawler in there over what we have seen that is what is missing with this group someone with an edge to their game...
  12. Coverage sacks are just good defence, they happen but the ball should in the 5th row by then aways. Exactly its a fine line between the 2 however a good offense will switch between the 2 and see what works better MB seems to be more stubborn...As far a getting the FBs more involved I am all for it... passing once or twice a year ( to date away ) doesn't make sense I would use it until teams start respecting it...
  13. Special Teams let us down again its a recurring theme... Blocked Punt and contacting the Kicker cost us points... While I agree it wasn't a penalty on 2 levels the player was blocked in and the kickers foot was on the ground ( as well the Kicker is a good actor..) You have to ask yourself why when kicking into the wind knowing are are getting the ball in a good position why wouldn't a good special teams co-ordinator stress DON'T GO NEAR THE KICKER on that play there was no need to take the chance of a penalty when we would be getting the ball on the 40-50 yard line ?
  14. Name one team that switched out their running back for something other than an injury or a problem with ball security. Sask., Edmonton, Toronto, B.C., Calgary, Montreal, Hamilton have all used more than one RB's during games to mix things up. Bombers are the only team that has relied on a single back so as to not confuse their opponents with trickery. Why are you defending the Bombers approach to running? The stats. speak. We've used Paris Cotton, Troy Stoudermire, Carl Volny and MP Pontbriand out of the backfield at certain times this season. I'm defending their approach because the impression you have is wrong. Dis agree they have Tried all those players one attempt isn't a fair try...Cotton is the only one that had a decent chance at RB, I would argue Cotton is too similar to Grisby we need a Power RB to change things up once in a while.
  15. Not for Long Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming · 1h Willy's second rep, an INT by Johnny Sears on a 25-yard wobbler over the middle — stretches and shakes his shoulder afterwards. Brohm in now
  16. Willy Out now ( according to Bauming ) second pass was a duck that was INT by Sears and Will was holding his Shoulder he is out after that Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming · 1h Willy's second rep, an INT by Johnny Sears on a 25-yard wobbler over the middle — stretches and shakes his shoulder afterwards. Brohm in now
  17. Yes that about sums up the last 6 weeks, no improvement if anything they are going backwards at this point in the season. Good time for the Bye lets hope the time off will allow the players to heal and the coaches to review what they have been doing wrong and correct it. It would be nice to bring in some DTs that have some size and a RB or 2 that doesn't go down on first contact...
  18. I'm not sure why you're taking such a point against this. MOS said the running game isn't a problem for our D. It clearly is as evidenced again where another CFL team just runs roughshod over us. they didn't run roughshod over us, they did run effectively at key points which killed us. In the 4Q they ran roughshod over us...
  19. Mike O'Shea still insists we are ok at handling the run... not sure I bought what he was selling a few weeks back but the more he keeps saying in the dumber it sounds...
  20. Does that mean Volny Gets a promotion ? I wonder if McGuffie can play RB Still ? What about Stoudermire at RB ?
  21. Makes Sense to me he is similar size to Anderson.
  22. He was a smaller player 5'10" 195 he played RB, WR and Special Teams in a small U ( can't remember the one ) he was very fast 4.35 40 he looked good in practice with the scout team but he was less noticable as time went on. The Bombers picked up the hurdler (Sam McGuffie) who is roughtly the same size and speed so I guess he has looked better than Bolton...
