  1. To me its not even close Rod Black is a joke he should stick to Ice Skating...
  2. Have to check the game video to see if they can see if the official signalled okay. Replays on Twitter have the official clearly signalling okay to Adams, however he does look to line up a bit behind. Still the ref said it was fine. He was perfectly lined up you as long and you are not than 1 yard back you are fine, and it was 9 3/4 if you look at the yard marker he clearly was withing 1/2 yard so well within the rules. That REF needs to have a big fine or just let him so because he clearly effected the outcome of a game for NO REASON...
  3. Agreed I think MOS will get one more year and Marcel B. will be offered up for a sacrifice ( as deserved ) the new OC that MOS hires will determine his furture with the Bombers. As much as I think MOS has been part of the problem I still think he can be a very good HC in the CFL...
  4. I am not asking for full pads or full contact, I know what a practice should look like I have coached and watched many of them. What I am suggesting is that one of the reasons they are so bad on offence is they don't go full speed when running their plays. And they don't spend enough time in practice working on Scrimmaging to prepare for the games.
  5. MOS is ultimately on the line for the players poor play because he has setup the environment where its ok to not be prepared. I think the cutting of Simmons will send a message to the Special Teams he was dogging it on a number of plays that I saw and now that we have Wild we don't need Simmons anyway...
  6. I would suggest that just because MOS played in the CFL it doesn't mean he can run a high level practice, I am not saying all of the practice is bad my main complaints are listed above, however MOS isn't insisting on a high intensity of practice similar to how he doesn't seem to demand effort in the games and there is no ( at least public ) consiquences for poor play / effort. MOS is clearly searching for answers if you listened to the coaches show he said "did I work the players too hard in practice" so he seems to think their performance in Montreal might be because he worked them too hard ? I am not suggesting anyone take my opinion, I simply presented it and was hoping others might have seen practice and would weight in with their thoughts.
  7. 1) No one is demanding maximum effort in practice the coaches can't be heard from the stands and when the team has the record it has had the past 2 years that is not acceptable. 2) Players going 60-70% in scrimmage and the coaches seem ok with that. 3) Not NEARLY enough scrimmage TIME to work out the offensive plays so how does anyone expect the offense to improve ? 4) Too much time on special teams wasting everyones time, at this point you should have your special teams done and most of it can be done in the meeting rooms no need to waste time on the practice field... Bottom line to me practices are not at an elite level to help the team improve and that is my biggest complaint of MOS I have talked to others that know about how to run a FB practice and they agreed with me that the Bombers practices looks way to casual...
  8. Good point if its just a walk-through then that makes more sense.
  9. The Bigger question is why only 10 Minutes on Scrimmage it doesn't seem enough to me especially for a struggling Offence with an New QB ???
  10. And more importantly which Winnipeg Resturant is it ?
  11. That was Longo's fault not Bryant, and if you ask me you could blame Walters Greaves was better than that ,not saying Longo won't be good but why not make sure BEFORE you make the trade...
  12. Denmark has been dogging it for over a month if you ask me Moore is by far out best REC but he is out every 1/3 of the games Adams is our second best and has missed some time. Denmark is having Another off year his best year was last year but the year before was bad and this year is bad to me its time to move on... We need IMP REC depth asap Veltung is ok but isn't lighting the world on fire and he has been banged up as well, I like what I have seen of Willie but he has only gotten in a few plays. We lack big strong RECs that can take the hits to me this is the single biggest area of failure for Walters and company, be bought in 10 or so new RECs and only Veltung remains and so far he is ok but nothing special ? Wille was cut and brought back...
  13. I think the Marcel B. be offered up in an attempt to save MOS however the more I see the more I think MOS isn't ready to be a head coach his first 3 co-ordinators where are terrible Etch Tracey and Marcel B. and he isn't touch enough on his players and runs low intensity practices so not good enough MOS... If MOS gets fired as well I will be much happier at this point I was willing to give MOS some time however I don't see enough improvement and when you can't even run a proper practice I don't see how you can ever have a Winning team...
  14. Agreed I see Walters getting at least 3 years and possibly longer, he has many a number of good trades and picked up many player he can't help it if the coaches don't know how to assess talent he only tries to pickup as many players as possible, I would have thought we would have a better REC core with all of the players in camp but they got cut one after one until we have Gordon and Veltung and Gordon is terrible and Veltung is ok but nothing special. I would have kept a bigger target at REC I think that is something the Bombers miss this year. And its a good thing I am not in charge of the Bombers I would have cut a number of players already and brought in some that actually wanted to play...
  15. Funny but I see it the much differently , I see that Walters has gone above and beyond to get talent the the Coaches have messed it up after all a good coach tells the GM what he wants then the GM goes out and gets the players. I have no problem with Walters other than the fact that he picked a rookie head coach that is clearly learning on the job. I put most of the problems on the fact that Marcel B. is not able to coach his way out of a wet paper bag he is garbage and MOS picked 3 horrible co-ordinators ( Etch and Tracey Gone Marcel to follow ) showing he was not ready to be a head coach and MOS pratices are garbage as well he has no clue how to run a top level practice...
  16. There is nothing there because they keep firing everyone every couple years. These guys may not be the ideal people, but give them a chance to try and build things up a bit before we make that move. Fire them all now and it's right back to square one with no qbs no scouting department and no decent canadian talent on the team prolonging the misery even further. You don't want to hear it but patience is needed now more than ever. I don't agree , I just got back from Practice and I don't see a team on the verge of Winning, I see a team that looks like they are un defeated and don't have to work that hard I hope I am wrong but I don't like MOS's practices they are way to lax and they don't spend enough time scrimmaging and they don't have any competitive scrimmages ( that I have seen )
  17. I agree. LH cost this man's job. It was not LH that cost him his job how many contacting the kicker penalties have we seen under Tracey he clearly isn't stressing how important NOT to contact the kicker and give the Offence another chance, I think its between 4-6 penalties and I don't remember that many in the previous 10 years...Then you add the coverage and we let players right up the middle you have a scheme issue not a kicking issue....
  18. It was out of bounds but very close however it didn't have a huge impact on the Game Again Special teams COST us the game the Punt return and the contacting the kicker penalties killed us How many contacting the kicker penatlies have we since under MOS is it 5 ? To me there is no excuse for a contacting the kicker unless you are blocked in.
  19. I'd give him a lot more credit if he wrote the article before the game. It's easy after they lose playing Brohm to pen an article about how it's the wrong decision. It would actually show some conviction if the article were written before the game was played. To be fair to Lawless he said say Nichols should have started before the game however it wasn't practical to expect Nichols to learn the O that quickly to be able to start.. What is more concerning to me is the poor ST play Penalties and awful Game planning ... And awful effort by some players.... MOS better wake the you know what up or he will be hitting the road along with the OC and ST coaches...
  20. Gale's been in the CFL for 3 seasons and has 21 pass attempts. He was the short yardage QB in 2014 but otherwise has not had regular reps at QB. Marve alone has more on-field experience than Gale. If MOS liked him when he was in TO then we might be seeing him sooner than later, they released Russell already...
  21. Except for the fact his throws have always been errant, as evidenced by his low completion percentage whenever he's seen game action. 60% completion percentage is fairly good for a rookie QB I would say my only complaint is not enough deep balls and when they did Marve's missed all of the longer throws his short throws where on the money ( except for the INTs )
  22. What do you honestly expect from him though? Lots of sacks and tackles for a loss? Seems to me he's sort of taking the role of big strong guy trying to make room for others in the defence this year. That's not a position that generally gets yourself covered in glory. Agreed not much glory but his play has dropped off from the past 2 years, and Turner's play is even worse 3 tackles and 1 sack isn't very impressive....
  23. I saw the one hop but that was as much the REC fault as Brohm's it was a much longer throw the WR was wide open and should have come back to the ball but the REC was S L E E P I N G , yes Brohm could have made a better throw but the REC has more than enough time to adjust to the ball IMO, and the more I watch practice the more I think we have a REC problem as much as a QB problem... Brohm actually made some nice throws and looked like the best QB on the field today.. and Brohm did look decent with in his only CFL start before he got hurt so I am hopeful he will be much better than he has been.... As for Davis he made at least one nice throw but was picked 3 times by my count, there is no doubt to me that Brohm starts, Davis is #2 and Nichols #3. Davis looks to be very mobile as well, I think he just had a tough day today hopefully he looks better tomorrow. Nichols as getting 3rd string reps today as he is just learning the system...
  24. Wild was our starting MLB all last year in Etch's D he probably undersized for MLB under Richie's D...
  25. A. Kelly helped us win the First game vs Toronto with 2 TDs I don;t think another Bomber REC had 2 TDs in a game all last year, he also helped us win vs HAM with a critical catch on the winning drive and a very strong game so in our first 3 games he was important in 2 wins, he also has another very good game in another win ( don't remember the details ) A. Kelly also had more TDs than Denmark (4) Moore (0) and Byrant (0) combined with 6 I know that isn't many but it was tops on the team last year. And I am not saying he was great just saying he was better than you are giving him credit for...And I have no problem that he is gone because I realize his problem was a lack of speed and he was too light and got pushed around... Adams is a much better Receiver yes I agree with that but Kelly helped us last year and we miss having a big REC this year. J. Gordon is garbage ( at least so far ) and Veltung is a good returner and fillin but he is not a top REC... So again until you have someone better you shouldn't just cut someone because they dared to speak back to the coaches.... So Walters has failed to find a big target the Bombers said they wanted to find, however I am not sure I trust that Marcel B. would know a good rec vs bad based on his opinion of Brohm being a CFL QB...
