I have no problem with laws against cell phone use. Way too many idiots staring at their damn phone when they should be staring at the road.
worse than drunk drivers. Because they're sober and making dangerous decisions.

If you said 10 years ago in the space of four years a NHL team would return and a AHL team would leave then also return to Winnipeg. Both playing in the same building you would of been put in an asylum.

I thought franchises had learnt by now that building rinks that size was stupid.

Yes, Norway does tax its citizens at a high rate, but Norweigians get free dental care, fee eye care (including glasses), free psychological care, and two years of free post-secondary education for those who qualify. Moreover, Norwegians rate themselves a the third-happiest people on Earth (the Danes were #1) and as a measure of the health of their society, when neo-Nazi Anders Brevik (who killed 77 people including children) appeared in court, families of the slain appeared in court to ask that Brevik be given psychiatric help rather than a lifetime behind bars. That is a mark of a humane society.
Wealth does not equal happiness or mental health. There is evidence to the contrary.

When you’ve made the post-season once in your 16-year existence, discussing the playoffs before you’ve actually qualified is like talking about a shutout late in the third period or a no-hitter in the eighth inning.
You don’t. Messing with the sporting gods is a no-win game.
So, while the Winnipeg Jets won’t discuss life after the regular season until the team is officially in, it is giving season-ticket holders until Friday to lock up their seats for the playoffs. The Jets are currently sitting in the second wildcard spot in the Western Conference but have several teams breathing down their necks.
But it’s not going to be cheap. One P1 seat will cost $831.90 in the first round, $970.55 in the second, $1,109.20 in the third and $1,663.80 in the Stanley Cup finals. (All prices are based on the Jets hosting four games per round, which, given the team’s current standing, is highly unlikely.) If a P1 ticketholder went to 16 home playoff games, it would cost $4,575.45.
A P7 seat, meanwhile, will cost $250.50 for the first round, $292.25 for the second, $334.00 for the third and $501.00 for the finals. Attending 16 home playoff games would cost $1,377.75 in P7.
Fans aren’t required to make any payments by Friday, just make an online confirmation, which can be done at winnipegjets.com. Seats that aren’t reserved will be released.
***The media never gets tired of complaining about things. People will pay so why complain. Thats basically $60 per game for the entire first round in P7. I'd pay that.

FrostyWinnipeg got a reaction from Mark F in Game 67: Jets @ Blues
Jets will do okay if they can cover 2 things.
1. Make sure Thomas Steen does not hitch a ride on the plane.
2. Keep Alex Steen off scoreboard.
Do those 2 things and we can win.
Oh and hit. Hit. HIT!
Off to MTCW tonight so will miss the game. Support the arts!

Thomas Steen is a bit old to hit but agh ... well ... why not, since he seems to still like to mix it up with old women in restaurants ...

Preds lost 5 in a row. Ripe for picking?
Interesting note i heard on the radio yesterday. Twice before Hutch has been pulled and he went on a 7-8g streak(no regular time losses) both times.
