  2. Question: How is a Riders vs Bombers match up not ranked #1? Answer: The author is a Stamps fan.
  3. Problem with Vaval is he's just as likely to fumble or gaffe that leads to an opposing score as he is to bust one.
  4. For the most part, the article isn't wrong but when it is, it's way wrong. He has ST as a toss up but says "If James Letcher Jr. is in the lineup, his one play game-breaking ability is king and Montreal gets the nod", which is absolutely insane. Letcher had zero return touchdowns of any kind this season (and just 1 TD last year) while Vaval has four. But yeah Ferguson, you go on about a crazy game breaking ability that doesn't seem to exist and completely ignore the guy who should (imo) win ST player of the year. Not saying Letcher is a bad returner but Vaval was clearly the best this year so that should be a slam dunk category for us.

  6. Back in the Cold Wars days, the CIA had a bunch of deep minds working in a field called "Kremlinology" which was about figuring out the true objectives and dynamics of the Soviet Union. The Soviets, being a secretive bunch, didn't talk a lot about their true feelings or objectives. They would have a message and they would stick to it. And so the Kremlinologists would have to read between the lines, and use the tiniest tidbits, such as the arrangements of chairs or portraits in meetings, the positions of the soviet officials on parade, the scheduling and location of meetings, etc, to do their analysis. In the end, they found that most of their analysis wasn't super useful and was just about people looking for confirmation for pre-existing opinions. Today, I feel like some people are doing Oshology.
  7. He also pretends that Wheatfall is the #2 because of stats alone.
  8. Soooo...if the Bombers lose, we can say that the business went broke?
  9. I think we need to re-brand this game.... it's not a Bombers cross over... it's unfinished business, 2011 style... the two seasons are similar in that the Bomber will be playing through the east and an Ottawa team didn't exist...
  10. Soooo...to the article, Montreal has a decisive edge. I agree with the analysis but we shall see.
  11. My take is we (Walters/Miller) allowed Osh to have too much say and input in to what we felt was needed an who we wanted to keep (that should not have) and has got us to where we are. That needs to change going forward if either or both are to stay, and the G.M has to not be the HC buddy...but his Boss and he and his team will bring in the best players they can scrounge up, as well determine who will/and will not be back and the HC works within those parameters....like a typical organization does...
  12. Oh STFU. Quit taking one little thing, completely misreading it and blowing it into something it's not. Show me where I'm defending him. All I said was it's normal for Walters (not every GM), this is his track record and has been for a while. That's not being an apologist or being critical as I didn't give an opinion one way or another on his approach. FWIW, I would prefer if he was more visible and I'm definitely not satisfied with the work that was put in this year (from him or MOS).
  13. well past success aside...recent issues ongoing...we need change now anyway, all things come to an end so hopefully both are not back ....we be just fine
  14. If Osh is back then Hogan is back as OC. Guaran-fricking-teed.
  15. No,. it's not normal for a GM to go silent for half a year but c'mon. There's excuses & then there's apologists like this. Walters has mailed it in since he signed his now expiring contract. In a Grey Cup hosting year which makes it even worse.
  16. Another worrisome 2nd period. Glad they got the W but man alive they need to play a full 60
  17. Reading his body language... that guy has zero confidence and those canned generic answers is just him reading off a script. No way he is back next year, they need to bring in someone with experience and without a deer in the headlights look.

  19. Pure insanity that both him and O'Shea won't just say Strev is out and it's too bad for him. They keep saying they won't rule him out. With any other coaching staff, you know that that's just pure bluffing, but with these guys I wouldn't put it past them to run Streveler out there on 1 leg with a crutch under his arm to try and do short yardage...
  20. Took a moment but jays finally finish it off. 2 2 now.
