I didn't know Shari Lewis was getting a documentary, and you know what it's about time she did. I'm old enough to remember Lamb Chop's Play-a-long (but I missed the Pizza Music show) while everyone talks about the impacts of Fred Rogers or Bob Ross or Levar Burton Shari gets no love

https://www.bluebombers.com/2025/06/29/need-to-know-week-5-2/ Unleash Adams as the punter! FYI: WR Nic Demski, who had two TDs last week and now has four on the season, was suited up on Sunday but limited… P Jamieson Sheahan was in attendance, but did not handle any punting chores. Sergio Castillo and defensive tackle Devin Adams — who punted in college — took turns punting… DB Ethan Ball, who injured his hand during training camp, was back practising for the first time on Sunday.

Bettman never wanted Winnipeg to leave. They did everything they could from trying yo find local owners to new arena proposals. Jets didn’t leave cuz lack of support. They left cuz honestly they had 2. Winnipeg Enterprises was never gonna be True North. Quebec City is different. The language is a problem and the guy who wanted to be owner was getting lots of negative press, like balsile in Hamilton , he wanted to do it his way and make noise. True North did it so quietly we didn’t hear about a team coming here until the night before it happened. in terms of expansion you got Houston Atlanta Indianapolis (lot closer than ppl think) and Virginia (there’s lots of talk about Virginia Beach, apparently nhl ratings in Virginia are strong Portland? Vancouver and Seattle say no. Like Montreal with Quebec City.

Depends what the viewer numbers are, if they can increase the viewers of broadcast and streaming services, they could potentially make more revenue through other venues. Somehow league revenues have gone up, when game attendance appears to have fallen off a cliff.

I’ll guess Jake is paying the team to play.

Jake has 0 DT, 0 Sacks and 0 FF this season in three games. Lawson at least has 3 tackles and clearly causes pressure. Heck even Kornelson has a tackle.

2025 CFL (Non-Bombers) Season
Super Duper Negatron replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Bombers have an advantage in that about 1/3 of attendees don't even watch the game. My niece couldn't name a player other than Willie Jefferson but goes to 5 games a year. -
Yea, if only the BC crowd would stay beyond the pregame concert they would really be on to something.

How many strikes do we get? To keep the perfect streak going - Dedrick Mills

I’d be absolutely giddy if this happened, but we all know there’s no way in hell Thomas will ever sit…. Except for when he falls over.

Demski

Montreal has a rich owner as well.

Most of the league is either in trouble or right in the verge of being in trouble. Ham and bc are ok because their owners can eat it / buy fans and won’t sweat losses. We are rock solid of course. The rest, at best treading water. Even at that, if bc/ham had a sudden ownership turnover they’d be in serious trouble quickly. For us, we obviously have deep coffers now. And a strong fan base. But we did at the turn of the 90s to. If we had an extended competitive collapse, the eventual fan base exodus would be a massive problem for the league. The riders are half way down the toilet already. If the top draws in the league barely got 20k the tsn deal would plummet and total gate average would be serious trouble. The league is at a crossroads. New tsn deal soon, bunch of teams on the fringe, already failed to capitalize on a younger generation the new commish has his work cut out for him, and the board.

My partially qualified opinion… BC is ok because they can host every 3-4 Grey Cups. Calgary and Edmonton are both in real trouble. Like there’s no way they aren’t burning $5 million a year on operations. Need stadiums and play in really tough CFL markets in this era. Montreal loses a lot of money on operations and has no ability to make that back on hosting Grey Cups anymore. Toronto is as usual. Ottawa needs to win soon or they will be in trouble too. I don’t believe the earlier schedule has been positive for league revenue. If anything it’s harming them at the gate.

Picks this week need to be in by Thursday @ 8PM Standings are below:
-
He's on the PR.
-
Is haggarty due back? If so then person could come in and Kornelson out
-
If Demski's healthy, then it could be: Out: Cooley (A), Weitz (G) In: Oliveira (C), could be Person (A) or any American If Demski will sit this week, I hope they will put in Mitchell instead of Cobb, add a Canadian somewhere. Means Person can't be activated.

Thought this was interesting.

Ottawa is such gigantic blah of a team. Cheering for them must be a chore.
