wow. That didn't last long at all.

Maybe this means Nichols is close to signing an extension with the Bombers.

or Maybe it means that Boyd really wasn't showing much at all... Hard to say, came with lots of hype... thought he had all the tools to be a good QB in this league but perhaps he's got that NFL fever still, maybe he wanted to play.. I dunno, maybe he has an NFL opportunity. 

Another Warren Moon wannabe. Maybe Sask picks him up?

Won't surprise me to see he signs with a NFL team.

Or maybe an NFL team come calling ?

Stranger things have happened. If so, good for him. This just shows again why American players, especially QB's, should give the CFL a try. They are far more marketable playing up here and getting experience than sitting at home eating Doritos. I couldn't believe that Delvin Breaux was playing for New Orleans last night. I honestly didn't think he was that great with Hamilton. So shows what I know.

Maybe he asked for his release when he realized he wasn't actually going to become the starter after a couple weeks.

 

It's funny, except I remember we had Shawn Lemon at one point and he said the same things, and quickly asked for his release too. A few years later he's a very good player in Edmonton.
