He's fallen into the pit of football players who want more than anyone is willing to pay.

I'd pick up Shomari Williams and use him on special teams, give him a chance to work his way into some snaps at defensive end.  That's his position, his career was ruined by Saskatchewan trying to turn him into a LB on the Canadian field.

 

If people look past that first overall hype and just take him for what he's worth, he's still good enough to be on a CFL roster.  He's going to end up somewhere; I won't complain if it's on our roster.  I also won't expect him to start at linebacker.

Unlikely Curran will hold out much longer but you never know.

Can't get a contract in the NFL if you're under contract in the CFL.  If he's looking for work down there it'd dumb to sign a contract up here.

Exactly. Pretty sure they didn't just forget about the NFL when making the decision.

BLM isn't the biggest qb around & they may have felt he never would have had a fair chance to start.

BLM is 6'2" and 200lbs. That's pretty good size for an NFL QB.

31 already? Wow I was thinking he was still like 26.

You would think guys like Russell Wilson and Drew Brees would make NFL types think twice about judging QBs by their height but most still prefer QBs around 6'4 or 6'5. A 6'2 undrafted QB coming out of the CFL already has the deck stacked against him.
