The Unknown Poster
Is Hornqvist back in? I hope he is back NEXT game. have him in my pool and he was lighting it up until his injury. Pens are decimated and the Jets are healthy for the first time since November. Should be an ahem easy two points for the Jets.
mbrg
The Jets seem to really struggle against the Flyers and play up to the Pens. If I'm Maurice I'm starting Pavelec tonight and Hutchinson on Thursday. It's what the gut's telling me.

Early D pairs were Ben Chiarot-Dustin Byfuglien, Toby Enstrom-Zach Bogosian, Jay Harrison-Jacob Trouba
FrostyWinnipeg
The pre-post-season begins tonight! I can not recall us winning in Pitts before so it helps Crosby out. Send Pav to the wolves I say. Now that I back in peg I'll be in chat. Show up people!
Jacquie
I can not recall us winning in Pitts before so it helps Crosby out. Send Pav to the wolves I say. Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming #Pens are 8-2-0 against the #NHLJets — and 20-3-0 all-time against Atlanta/Winnipeg, including 13-straight wins in Pittsburgh. M Remis @mremis Penguins are 8-0-1 the last 9 times they've played without Crosby & Malkin. (h/t @PensRadioNet) Ken Wiebe @WiebeSunSports Looks like it will be Ondrej Pavelec starting in goal for #NHLJets tonight vs #Pens who counter with Thomas Greiss

Atomic
Pavelec's worst game of the season. Looked like he was half asleep out there.
RagingIce
Refs and Pavelec were both absolutely terrible blitzmore
Goalie
Screw right wingers. Jets need to buy a ref. No power plays? Whole team looked flat not just pav.a pens team minus Crosby and Malkin dominated us
Mark F
why do some of the Jets carry the puck out from behind their own goal, and cross right in front of their own net? Saw one goal against them result from that tonight.
IC Khari
Pens 3rd goal was brutal, 4th as well but at least the puck was somewhat loose on that bang in ...
FrostyWinnipeg
Should we put the blame on Coach/GM tonight? Surely they knew about Pav's record against Pens.
Brandon
I only caught the last 10 minutes... disappointing that they can never get any points in Pittsburgh. They showed Pavs struggled with giving up massive rebounds.... me thinks Hutch will be getting many more starts down the road.
Goalie
Only 22 shots for and only like 4 in the first. Whole team was still on vacation and so were the refs

The Unknown Poster
Pavs was awful, no doubt. Can we talk about the stellar play of much maligned Chris Thorburn?
Atomic
Pavs was awful, no doubt. Can we talk about the stellar play of much maligned Chris Thorburn? Gotta love the way that whole line is playing. Did you know that with 5 goals, Thorburn has more goals in one season than he's ever scored for the Jets before? Although he had more with the Thrashers.
Jimmy Pop
Have to agree with Maurice's assessment. Pens dominated the 1st, we controlled the 2nd. Pens get benefit of doubt from two blatant misses from the refs; goal scored with 6 skaters at the end of the 2nd, and a phantom penalty on Lowry for bodychecking. They've played well enough to earn a pass on this game from me. Regroup and hammer Philly. They play better in front of Hutch anyway. Have to wonder what PauMau really thinks of Pavs after a performance like that... blitzmore

My guess it will take a lot for Maurice to shy away from his hybrid rotational approach which in the end may be a good thing.
Goalie
Pav was awful but the entire team was for 2 periods too (1st and 3rd). They were darn near dominated in those periods by a team playing without it's 2 best players and best goaltender.
SPuDS
Im starting to believe pavs struggles seem to be from lack of focus or attention.. Mental fortitude seems to lack at times. Do we employ a sports psychologist?
