Really? Other teams haven't played there second preseason game and final cutdown is June 21st.

It's a pretty safe bet and I think it's a good idea for the coaches to tell these guys so that they can start looking for accomodations. 

Obviously he's made it. Cotton has potential to lead the league in rushing this year.

How do you figure?  Seems like quite a leap from a casual tweet from Paris Cotton to determining the roster status of all our RB's.

Grigsby hasn't impressed, and Ford hasn't put his cleats on in two weeks.

Cotton is our guy. Maybe Lawless should actually watch a few practices before calling Grigsby the starter, HA!

It's not such a leap for picking Cotton at this particular time and unless there's something we don't know, it will be Grigsby on the outs and Ford waiting to regain his status as top RB.

O'Shea just said on his show that Ford is at least a couple of weeks away and won't play in the opener, so yes Cotton will definitely be on the team, and likely starting week 1.

Cotton has been one of the most impressive players on the team in the preseason games, if he wasn't starting the year I'd seriously question the coaches here. Guy looks like a very dangerous player.

edit: He never made it to main camp. He was cut after their mini-camp. I do remember hearing that he was a McManus find, and was again recommended to Walters by him.

Oh hey, look at that. I never knew that, I knew we had a back in mini camp Kendial Lawrence that was in a similar position.

Fast, strong, has great moves, and can catch out of the backfield.  I think he'll be a good one.

This isn't a surprise. He's easily and obviously the best running back we have.

Yeah which confuses me because all I ever hear is how good imp (international) RBs are a dime a dozen. Cotton is decent, but I fail to see any wow factor. I'd go as far as saying I think we will see a revolving door of RBs this season. IMO Garrett and Simpson showed more...talent wise. I would also like to clarify that I'm not in the camp who believes Messam is the messiah either. I would like to see what Aaron Woods could do at RB. I'm very disappointed that Smith never panned out, but not entirely surprise by the results. The running back situation concerns me.

Cause he pretty much did everything else perfect in two pre-season games.

Probably the best RB screen pass we've executed in years against Calgary.

 

What did you want to see?

Kind of reminded me of what Korey Sheets did in the pre season in his first year. He was pretty far down the depth chart but he kept making plays and forced himself to the top of the depth chart.
