  • I just don't believe that a rookie GM and a rookie CEO led by a broken board of directors is what this team needs right now... or ever.

  • I saw it posted somewhere by someone else that summed it up best. Any potential GM that wanted to keep Burke as head coach was a poor choice for GM anyway.

  • OK, I'm not sure, exactly, if this is where posters are getting answers to their questions, but it seems just as reliable.   http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~ssanty/cgi-bin/eightball.cgi

I owned the race to be first with this news...

Pretty shocking turn of events IMO.

I am legitimately shocked and taken completely aback by this unexpected news.

I commend the BOD for thinking outside of the box on this one.

Both threads say the same time.

All sarcasm aside, I think this is a solid move and hope that Wade can move this franchise in the right direction with the same tenacity and work ethic he did for Pinnacle and his other ventures.

Congrats WM!

In other news, the Bombers have opted to combine the "President & CEO" roles into one: Emperor.

Now can he fire Burke?

I like 'Chancellor' myself... he'd be the Chancellor on Chancellor

Oh the Star Wars references abound.

That's the GM job.

Next up, name Walters GM, then FIRE BURKE

I dont know if it's only me but... I got a feeling that if Walters will get the GM gig, he will retain Burke as HC...

question #1, why the delay on this announcement when everyone knew it was coming a long time ago?

question #2 Y U NO FIRE BURKE ALREADY?!?!

I hope it is only you MOAB..... but it would not surprise me.

More of the same old, same old.  Nothing will change.  Dark times ahead.

I get the feeling you're a fan of change for the sake of change.

Cheap 'n easy hire ?

Go Jets Go........

He'll be a good hire IF he doesn't meddle with the football side of things...

As someone who knows Wade lets just say the odds of him "staying outta the football side" are somewhere between slim and none.

He'll be in his GM's ear whenever he sees fit, which for him makes a sock puppet the ideal GM -- or Walters.

Dissappointed to see more of the samr crap.
