Heard yesterday morning out of Regina a Rider player had been in a wreck and that it was likely the Rider players fault, didn't know who until afternoon. Then a lot of locals went off on a "brown guy

Carmichael is one I can think of.

I think another question would be has MOS and company ever released a player in good standing with them but way past their prime based on their onfield production?

nope

another thing to consider/look at....Have they ever supplanted the previous yr's starter who was still here with a new guy...nope. Even with a player out playing the incumbent...or the incumbent not practicing all TC but magically was starting once season started...Happened all too often here

Even this yr...Elsbury did nothing to catapult himself over the rest to be starter...Singer looked best of any receiver....and when finally allowed to play shows he belongs...Jenkins was out played by 3 other guys...Even Smith shoulda been a day 1 starter

But if you looked at the sentiment and tait's reporting prior to camp it was already cemented basically we were gonna run an import center....the plan was to be 3 Canadian receivers, come hell or high water, even tho not even a requirement...so campwas just a pointless adventure again

If he was a linebacker with a US Marine background, he would be here already.

All the different West standings possibilities.

The ones with the asterisks indicate the Lions and Bombers would switch places if the Bombers win their last game by 17 or more.

Would it be so hard for the league to definitively set out the tiebreaker procedure and to update the website so everyone knows.

I guess this drives engagement if everyone is arguing whether a tiebreaking step resolved for all teams or just picks the highest or lowest and resets.

Like that'll make a difference.

Well, it’s not like it can get worse for them.

Nope but might be valuable experience that he can build off of for next year. If we were in the same spot, I would hope we did the same with Elgersma.

He'll probably be another Harrison Frost or Jake Dolegala. He'll become just a league footnote of another failed rookie qb. Always the chance he's one of the 5-15% who does develop, though. Guess they have to try.

Ottawa released National WR Nick Mardner. Worth a look?

He's 6'6, that's way too tall for our team.

Real problem is he ran a 4.4 hand and 4.5 electric timed 40. He’d have to be up in the high 4.7s for us to consider him. Too tall, too fast, too athletic.

Though he seemed to have a good rapport with brown maybe that could win out. wouldn’t bet on it though.

So related to this, Tommy Nield got 175k for this year and 187k for the next. Barf.

Thankfully his contract does not have a guarantee. They may want to reconsider his deal in the off-season.

Good idea, let's renegotiate for more

He'll up his game for sure. Ratio breaking semi-backups are worth their weight in gold.
