I don’t think we can do it right now but if or when god forbid Zach gets roughed up, I’d trade a first and a roster player for Dru. I think Dru is a really good quarterback and he’s been absolutely left out to dry in Ottawa.

Could be that Dru comes home after Zach's retirement..kind of like a lot of us envisioned. But who knows

After thinking more of about this deal, I think it's a short term money burst until they gut the league and try to scam some American cities into making a new league which ultimately will kill everything off.

Beginning of the end of the CFL. I fully expect in 2028 they get rid of Canadian players and try to expand to the US market. Also 4 downs.

It's one game a week. Not anentire season. If people are willing to stop watching the CFL over this then the league might as well just fold up its tent. Canadians sure like to ***** & complain about everything. Nothing is ever good enough. I'm on the fence as to whether I'll get DAZN but if I don't I won't stop watching.

Honestly, this wouldn’t shock me. These are the moves we’ve seen in the first few months. What happens when things stagnate? They’ll have to create more outrage.

Given every thing, I'd probably want an asset back in a castillo for dru trade. Sergio was very good last year, he's in his prime for a K, and he's money. Plus he can punt as well.

The CFL the way it was, was good enough. Getting all the games by paying for one subscription was good enough. No globals was good enough.

Pretty ironic that a guy who throws a tantrum like a 5 year old if anybody says anything remotely negative about Alberta or makes an age related joke talks about Canadians complaining about everything.

Nah, normally its conditional middle draft pick for a qb. And once a team demotes a guy, its tough to get any asset for them as the contracts are soo high they are heavily incentivized to cut those guys and teams can wait and pick them up, on a better deal, for free.

In a water is wet type of revelation, Farhan posted that Dru has an interest in returning to the Bombers. Well no ****... He didn't want to leave in the first place but needed to for a chance to be a starter.

Ya but why would Ottawa want to get rid of Dru? He doesn't have a monster contract. Between him and Mayor they're basically at Kellys pay aren't they? The chances of the Mayor getting hurt behind that OL are likely pretty high right now and they can't afford another losing season, due to injury or not.

Might not happen right away but Ottawa may want to get something for him while they can. It's the last year of his contract and I'm testing FA if I'm Dru. He re-worked his contract so the team could be more aggressive in free agency and his thanks was a demotion to go along with the pay cut. Dinwiddie doesn't seem like his biggest fan so he's probably better off elsewhere.

Personally, I would put TE on the PR at that point. I think he still has development sitting for a year and watching. Keep brown ready to go and have Bryce do the short yardage stuff.

Pretty much. Some teams don't want to sit on a QB controversy, though. It is very distracting unless you have an incredible locker room to manage it. Imo, ott doesn't have that. I could very well be wrong about that. I don't think that Dinwiddie gives a crap, though. I think he's happy to sit on any QB talent he likes. But, I don't think he cares for Brown.

Unless mccheese becomes some kind of revelation, I could see him trading for one of his 2 old QBs in toronto.

They do need AR assets. Lauther is probably the last K in the league any one would want, and that OL needs work.

Dinwiddie has shown himself to be pretty intelligent and pragmatic, so whatever he takes from the Argos ought to work just fine.

Fwiw it looks like Dru Brown had a good night for Ottawa. Only one incompletion, and two TDs with 0 INTs. Didn't play a ton of time but looked very good while was in.

Well, have you read the pathetic bitching on social media over this tv deal? As well as all the rule changes?? That is neither hate or age related. It's fact & nothing new. And just how you can bring politics into this conversation is incredible. Oh & guess what? It's called having an opinion without rage baiting like ageism or hating on Alberta.
