Wheatfall didn't catch that ball either, btw.

If the wrong call wasn't made are we even having his conversation

Before this week Wheatfall had like 80 yards more than Nield on the season and both had 0 TDs so let's not act like Wheatfall is tearing up the league, he'd be #4 on the Bombers and probably get as much use here as Nield does. He had a big week and based on his career so far that's going to be followed up by 4 weeks of nothing.

Great point. I was thinking about that, realistically if we had kept Wheatfall I can't imagine we wouldn've signed Nield. I would take nield between the two as well. Better fit and passport. Plus reliable. We are just using Nield really really poorly currently.

Just to add a bit of push back about MOS not using guys. Listening to Jaylen(?) Smith interview with ed Tait right now. He spoke about how his mental health wasnt great last year and he wasnt sure if he still wanted to play. Gave MOS credit for treating him well and speaking everyday.

Regardless of who was kept...who wasnt...comparing one guys stats on one team to another on this team (which also doesnt really tell the whole story) ...who's idea it was or who to blame for the 3 Canadian starters,,,which is most likely Osh's as no coach will want to have a GM telling you how it is gonna be on your roster...doesn't happen in a successful organization...and is kinda funny cause when all was good Osh got all the praise..was a genius..Long live Osh...true leader and reason for turn around...but when things have slid going 5 consecutive seasons now it's the G.M's fault...truly makes me laugh my fricken arse off...

Fact of the matter we are bottom 3 in offensive points scored....basically dead last in offensive td's...1 up on Ottawa and 5 behind Ham who haven't really had a qb since week5...bottom 3 net offence...last in first downs....bottom 3 in avg yards per play...bottom 3 in passing yards...bottom 3 in completions...last in passing td's with 11 after 9 games...yikes!!...bottom 3 in efficiency..last in 30+yard completions...2nd last in % drives leading to a TD...Last in red zone TD's...last in red zone plays..

Basically all things that corroborate a poor receiving crew..good god I glad we have BO or we would truly be a worse embarrassment, and he's been misused as well.....we are in game 10 coming up and have did exactly nothing to try and fix it...absolutely zero...let alone make it better...How dumb does your staff truly need to be before its really too late???

If its not clear as day I'm not sure what would make it...even if you had a rinky dink setup like us you could survive by ball control and high time of possession, kind of use the minimal skillset/complimentry pieces you have to best ability and we don't even do that.. but we in bottom half of the league with T.O.P too!!....We aint doing crap this yr, and I will tell you why....Osh comment in that last article..."we are right where we need to be"...like really...Hate to be or seem like an Osh basher but if the glove fits...wear it...Guy is justa clueless idiot

My analysis here is we got too comfortable with a heavy dose of complacency...it harbored believing in your own press clippings...then toss in a nice helping of laziness, and has a good sprinkling of cluelessness beyond belief....almost makes you wonder if this group was as good as people liked to claim...moreso caught lightning in a bottle and then just let it all fizzle away to a sparkler a kid would buy at a fireworks stand...and they dont know how to get out of it, as they realy had no clue how they achieved it

I dont say the Trinity cause Miller has done and still is doing a bang up job...and his position isnt to meddle in the football ops part of it anyway...but I wouldnt be surprised if at somepoint he see's enough and has to

We were the 7th offense in the league last year, with Edmonton taking a nap for the first 10 games, with Wheatfall as our #2-3 receiver (Wilson came back and took targets away).

We are the 7th offense in the league without Wheatfall....and one of the teams worse than us is the team he plays for.

We NEED Wheatfall. It couldn't be more clear.

The offense worse than us is without Bo levi Mitchell. Where do you think the Ti Cat receivers would be including Wheatfall had he not been injured??

he (Wheatfall) is outplaying Lawler, the Ti Cats unabashed #1.

it's funny how Lawler's season went into the toilet when BLM got hurt. Lawler is a guy who, at his best, makes QBs look good.... but apparently not with Dole / Ford / Frost.

A true enigma, that's for sure. The guy has talent but he can't put a team on his back anymore like he used to. I can see his career going in the same direction as Gino Lewis once his contract expires. I think his big paydays are coming to an end.

It's also funny that the only QB to win with Hammy after losing BLM is Ford, and they don't start him every game.

Who made the decision to go 3 Canadians though? Gm or coach?

Does it matter? I would think that they were in agreement based on KWs offseason. This was the plan from Kyle on down.

You must not give MOS credit. Jaylen is disgruntled and his coach ignores him. Haven't u heard?

Miller has committed to the trinity whether u like it or not. You can scream how shitty you think MOS is. Those with the power to get rid of him extended him for 3 years. That's not a we want better contract, that's a we believe in your ability to turn it around contract...for both men. Who can blame Miller really? He was on the verge of firing one, or both men, but they did turn it around and gave Bomber fans a magic run of dominance. Walters and MOS are safe as can be for this and next season for sure.

7 straight WF..10 straight 10 win or more seasons..2 Grey Cups in a league with one year contracts is no fluke, or a lucky streak by clueless people and it is overwhelmingly ignorant for you to suggest that.

You can criticize the work lately for sure, but give credit where credit is due. At one time the Canadian Mafia was the gold standard in this league and players played their asses off because every player in this league would trade places to be part of it.

How that fell off, who knows, but both KW and MOS were at the top of the heap for many years.

That tends to happen when ham and eggers are at QB

Yet, our reject Wheatfall has more yards than a sulking & indifferent Kenny Lawler? He has all that talent & refuses to use it to help his qbs. Lawler has 66 catches for 452 yards & 5 tds with a 6.8 yards reception average. Like WTH??? Not worth the money he's being paid. Wheatfall has 48 catches for 498 yards & one td with a 10.2 yard reception average. Interesting stats.

Hard to say it was Kyle's plan if we didn't draft any Canadian receiver...you would think we would draft at least 2...and target more than No Touchdown Nield...no?

And yeah good on a coach for talking to his players and getting a feel for how they doing with some support and encouragement...as he should...doesnt need flowers for doing his job

show the math for 7 straight west finals....if you wanna give a solid argument...get facts right...nice picture you paint...but fail to acknowledge 4 successive declining yrs...dip in standings...and earlier playoff exit...Thats more pertinent to what happened in 2019 and 2021. I guess you are like Oshea...looking back instead of forward and actually preparing and transitioning properly toward it

Lawler has always been extremely streaky and fickle.

We have drafted 3 WRs in the past 2 years, but all of them are TCF at best. Corcoran is the best of that bunch. 2 picks in the 6th and 1 in the 5th is generally as good as doing nothing, though. We could have drafted guys, though. We had opportunities.

But even then, instead of coaching them up and leaning on guys like clercius and shay we let them linger in barely used roles. Even smith has been pushed into action not because he has excelled, which he has, but because of 2 injuries at his position.

yeah...no injuries...he wouldn't be playing...that's sad

Honestly, the way we've drafted and recruited coupled with our roster management seems to indicate KW+MOS develop a basic plan but then don't take the time to do everything required to make it work. Example, they clearly decided to go 3 Nationals at WR but then signed one (Nield) and a project TE but didn't recruit further or during the season (Mayala for example) or attack the position in the draft.

Kurleigh Gittens Jr & others were available in free agency but we never signed him or anyone else.

they also seem disjointed or unable to shift gears on the fly...what they deem the ratio and the who where is carved in stone and if camp reveals they could goa different route and be actually better...they can't deviate, or just have no ability to.

as well as several receivers in the draft too...We took none. I dont even count Daniels as a legit possibility to be a receiver this yr...if ever...so that pick as well where we took it was extremely short sighted...dare I say stupid

Who knows? They started hot last year and faded in August. BLM isn't a great QB at this stage.

Fun fact through their teams first 3 games the Bombers had the TiCats beat in most offensive categories except points scored because the ticats were finishing drives with TDs at an astounding rate.

Hamilton always wins the off season and b4 Labour Day grey cup then they fade. Ppl always pretend they are contenders but they have the longest grey cup streak in the league currently.

Not going to argue the success of the CDN mafia..dont have to.

depends what u call success I guess...We didnt go to 7 straight west finals, so not sure where you grabbed that number...we went to 5....and last yr would have missed playoffs if ottawa and t,o didn't have 9 wins combined...That wasnt a successful yr...was a by default yr...and lucky for us

Reg season wins are nice and all but is that really success?...We lost 3 straight grey cups...and each one was to a team with less wins, so I don't see the success like you, as we at same time obtained less wins along the way...to the point we were lucky to win 10 and got bounced 1st round in a cross over....again is that success??

Our success was 5..6 yrs ago now really....and hanging on to that gets you where we are now...needing a total overhaul almost

That’s pro sports tho. I mean all the great teams eventually become not great and have to go through a few downs to get back up while a team struggling for years now has their time to shine. It’s a vicious cycle. NHL. NFL. CFL. MLB (lesser extent) nba (lesser extent now)

A team is good for 2 3 years max then they fade. Bombers were good for 5 or 6 maybe. I mean compared to where we were prior to the Kyle/oshea regime, I think we probably in a better place now at 5 and 4 then we were in the Joe Mack Mike Kelly eras. Expecting to win all the time is unrealistic.
