The CFL is always going to only be attractive to people who want to keep playing. It's not life changing money for any American player or QB. Most guys who play QB in NCAA have their families spending as much money on QB and 7 on 7 camps when they are in high school as they will make on a CFL rookie deal. Let's shoot big and make it so (or at least try) and spend less time worrying about the rules of the game.

Atomic Posted Wednesday at 02:39 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:39 PM I always find it hard to browse the CFL's official free agent list so I re-organize it by position for readability. Still lots of time until free agency opens so this list is getting smaller daily. Booch, Tracker, TBURGESS and 7 others 5 5

Good point. I actually like logan as an offensive weapon X type more than as a KR. 4 minutes ago, Atomic said: I always find it hard to browse the CFL's official free agent list so I re-organize it by position for readability. I wish they would have one like this on the main page for the off season. Atomic and HardCoreBlue 2

I dunno...it's probably just a really difficult transition for some guys. They've spent their entire life doing this one thing and then whether they like it or not...it's over. Then they realize they have anywhere from 60-80 yrs of life left and don't know what to do. HardCoreBlue, Booch and wbbfan 1 2

Eighty years? Some guys gonna live to 115??? CFL players need to find a job. Use their team's connections as well as their education to find careers. Like they did in the 50's & 60's. That was the big attraction for players coming up here in the CFL or Canadians coming out of university. Teams would find players full time jobs. It was a reason why players from the US stayed in Canada after their careers were over. Most of these players never had a problem with transitioning. A lot of players now just seem like slobs wearing sweats all day, Not working while they play, Just work out in the off season & do nothing else. It's okay if a player is established in the NFL but CFL players need to have a career job. Then the transition from playing is much easier. Edited 1 hour ago by SpeedFlex27

Goes to show the value of tackles at the lber spot league wide. Funny thing is, sankey and awe are very similar guys. Sankey is better, and not a dirty bird. But not some giant step up. 200k is a solid increase. I’m glad it’s not larger, cfl teams are already struggling to find the mark on value at most positions after the last increase. I do think they should focus increases at qb though. The level or play at qb is abysmal and the brain drain of the nfl is kicking our ass.
