Zero reason we needed to give up Grant. Makes no sense. Guaranteed Hall of Famer.

I’ll say it: Bo throws better ball than Zach at this stage of their respective careers. Also .. Lawler is a better receiver than anyone on our current roster.

  • Lawler with his third TD. Unbelievable. BLM to Lawler is the most dangerous duo in the league right now.

The worst thing about BLM's performance is it could tweak Zach's competitive nature, he might damn the torpedoes and attempt to bomb Berlin.

Headline: "Collaros throws 7 TD's and 7 interceptions, Bombers lose by 23."

Come on, MOS would pull him after the 5th int. 🤣

Hamilton isn't as deep or good a team...tho this yr they may be

That being said...2022..2023...2024...a healthy Bo with our group...I bet he did more than what ZC gave us in grey cup

Even in ZC "good" game.this yr...there were still a fair amount of wtf passes he got lucky with...even Demski td...was a short duck that was all on demski...forced into pretty much triple coverage and if one of the dbs actually had any feild awareness that was a pick

Yup, same with Bo's pass to Lawler in the endzone last night.

How quickly we forget about the edm game. Collaros' pass to Wheatfall down the sideline was the best pass from any qb this year. Zach, when given time can absolutely still throw it. He's not what he once was, but this idea he's a broken down version of himself after one bad game is hyperbolic.

ONE  bad game?

....lol....this year ok....its not Bo hasn't looked like dog **** for the majority of the last few years.

Not getting Grant back was the biggest fuckup of Walters tenure here.
Anyone else we lost/let go there was at least somewhat of an argument for the thought process. With Janarion, the organization just simply blew it.

Zach was decent against BC a horrible D, Great against Edmonton an even worse D and lousy versus Calgary a pretty good D. Its concerning because we saw a lot of this last year.

Yeah, we let guys like Lawler & Grant go & keep that useless Thomas in the lineup.

Part of that is nobody likely would have picked him up either...and we sign him first in offseason...like he a priority...we could have left him u signed right up to camp and then if it seemed like he was needed...bring him on...

Yeah, totally backward. The Grant thing as well. Comments here about Grant going radio silent in th off season like he's off the grid. Really? I'm sure his agent can find him if a new contract was offered lickety split. Just a bunch of stupid excuses, Consider this: We have the worst receiving corps in the CFL without Lawler. We're also the worst kick & punt return game in the CFL. We can't find an impact returner if the team's survival depended upon it. And we let the best returner in CFL history just..... go. What's he being paid in Toronto? Something like $85,000 Canadian? Like WTH, Walters??? Trey Vaval looked promising but he seems to be fading...

Wasn’t Demski like leading the league in TDs and Wheatfall is up there in yards. Worst receivers in the league looked good when they played with Streveler week 1.

I doubt this group strikes fear in the hearts of DC's throughout the league, Wheatfall is still learning & Demski can't do the things he used to. If Schoen is out or playing injured then teams can take away Wheatfall's deep threat. Clercius is a keeper but is strictly a posession receiver. The other guys, well...

Lawler, White, Bridges, Smith

Philpot, Mack, Rambo, Snead

McInnis, Hatcher, Cotty, Berryhill

Schoen, Wheatfall, Demski, Clercius

I'd put us 4th in this area and suspect most GMs would too.

In a league this small, the difference between good teams and great teams comes down to the guys who are legitimate difference makers and who has more of them.

Grant is a difference maker and we let him walk.

The CFL comes down ultimately to 2 things, quarterbacking and coaching.

Toronto is 1 and 4 aren’t they.

Nope and Letting grant walk over 85 90k was ridiculous. I’ll agree with that.  Lawler at close to 300k? I dunno. That seems a little much to me. Grant at 85 k tho, yeah dumb.

Line of scrimmage has more impact than coaching imo.

yup....and part of that is who the coach chooses to employ in middle of your line...Our coach chooses dome real bottom barrel guys....so the importance of Line and coaching goes hand in hand here....

If that was his first game you can justify letting him go then.

Schoen (bad knee still favouring), Wheatfall (great potential still learning. Can't be depended upon yet to make the great contested downfield catches), Demski (great old pro who get by with guile & experience. Isn't the same guy he was even 2 yrs ago) & Clercius (may be a diamond). I rate them 9th. Didn't have to be that way, either.

I don't think receivers are really the problem on this team. Qb and OL are where I see problems.

Our receivers are great if they are wide-open.

Schoen looks quite limited.  Only guys that really fight through contact are Clercius and Demski.

Easy to defend us.  Kill the vertical stuff, force our receivers to make plays underneath and beat zone.  We can't.
