That may have been Collaros' best game in almost 2 years. He was hitting guys in stride all game long. Only 2 really bad decisions (that he got away with). Thought he was lights out all night long. Run blocking and Peterson need to ramp it up in the first half moving forward. Not a lot of space to move and Peterson doesn't seem to be running with power to start games.

Someone has to explain to me why MOS decided to kick off in the 2nd half. I'm still angry about that. I just don't understand the choice given the options/potential outcomes. One of the worst in game calls he's made in his time here imo.

As long as I can remember, if O'Shea feels there is any advantage to taking the wind he will take it given the chance. The fact that almost all the points in the game were scored going to the south end zone makes me think there was some advantage there.

I'll say it again too...our punter is garbage...and will cost us...he alredy does but we sneaking by

I dont care at times what his net is...when he cant put it as deep as others and it gains teams valuable field position...Plus he has zero ability to kick us out of trouble...none at all....we lucky we have a staunch defence cause it glosses over his shittyness....worst in league bar none

First maybe two seasons he was way more aggressive with taking the ball, fakes etc. back then it seemed like we needed every single drive and chance to win games. Since 19 gc, that hasn’t been the case and he’s gotten more and more conservative. 
 

 For me personally, you gotta be in extremely windy conditions, or windy plus muddy/wet/cold, to give up a drive. 
 Choosing the wind doesn’t give you any extra time with or against the wind, it just ensures that you have it in the direction you want in the 4th. The actual advantage is pretty slight and just makes closing out games easier. But you shouldn’t get beaten by factors like the weather if you are well coached team. 
 Also, the wind is not a simple advantage or disadvantage. It’s easier to kick longer with the wind, but you lose accuracy. Kicking with the wind is an advantage, but throwing with the wind is a disadvantage. Generally offences and QBs do better throwing into the wind than with it. Because it doesn’t mess with your accuracy as much, and it’s easier to throw harder into the wind than to take some thing off with the wind and retain a high level of touch on throws.

he started out shaky...but came around...he needs to string together multiple games like that tho....and against the top teams....maybe his old ass just needs a few series to work out the cobwebs and aches and grease his joints?

Osh muttered some nonsense trying to justify it..but also about re-thinking it...said they did it many times before too which means jack....repeating stipud crap just cause you got away with it isn't coaching excellence

Enviro Canada said wind last evening was between 10 and 13 km's ...hardly an issue and the field being 6 stories below grade was barely affected...flags in goal posts if you go back and watch for most part were barely moving so would have zero affect on passing...and minimal on kicks....just a dumb decision when you lost momentum and needed to come out and re-establish it....

I think just a coincidence to support the wind people's point...the fact nobody on broadcast even referenced wind conditions is good indicator it was a non issue...and 13 km max winds...if you think you are impeded by that in a pro football game you best be getting some better players todeal with it

Sometimes you need to get a feel for the vibe of the game and whats going on and run up the points in the 3rd..even while you up and trust in your defence...grow a set per say

yeah making decisions based on you think you may need every advantage possible to score points in 4th...or possible help in impeding the other team is a weak sauce mindset

And he seems to take that extra 1/2-1 second longer to punt the ball where you feel most times its going to get blocked.  It's nerve racking.

Watching Jake Thomas last night on television. He's even wore than I thought. Always get turned inside to the right or left or is stood straight up & pushed back. Even when he made some kind of penetration towards the qb he was late. He has no moves. Just a straight bull rush. WTF??? And he got the majority of reps last night. He was lost on an island in a 3 man front. The Edmonton backs just ran right by him. Its to the point that I no longer respect him anymore. What a sad sack excuse for a DT. Retire, already.

OK, this is a true story. Was at the game with the family yesterday in the South endzone, including my older son (14). He does NOT watch football at all, but comes with us to a game or two a year. Before the game they are doing player introductions and the D runs out of the tunnel one by one. No word of a lie, they introduce Jake Thomas and he waddles out and my son audibly starts to giggle and he turns to look at me as if to say "is that guy on the team?". All I could do was shrug.

And for the 'stop with the Jake hate', it really is not Jake hate. At least for me. If he's the glue find different ways to apply it on this team. It's just frustrating and difficult to watch our nose tackle be pushed back 1-2 yards and/or play bump belly with the OL on 90% of his reps.

I know I know we're 3-0, we've made the GC 5 years in a row, MOS has turned our club around, we lead in attendance, we are the gold standard of this league, we have the best uni's around etc etc. But cut us some slack there is always room for improvement no matter who you are.

kids are unbiased...and call it as it is lol

The majority of the plays where the Elk's got big gains....sustained drives...Jake...and Korn were on field...either individually ...and together....just rehashing that makes me puke in my mouth...when not out there...we actually got pressure with even just the 3 man....and way more disruption with 4 and a blitzer...and it helps out our 2 ends as they have to pay attention to the middle...Lawson constantly breaks thru...gets pressure and hits on the QB....yet gets half the reps Thomas does...and the odd time Jake gets some push in pocket...cant finish play...or disengage to follow play

Seeing how we really don't use Cooley enough to make him truly impactful (he's a back who needs to be getting rep after rep) we may as well dress Person to give the ends a rest and it will up their game...or Woods when he ready as we can still slide out one of him or Admas on the edge and give an end a breather....also Bailey for Weitz to give a true speed guy reps too and keep the OT's out of balance...He would offer just as much if not more than Weitz on teams

I'd dump both of Thomas and Korn a few games...actually dress Schmuck as he gets in their and mucks it up and is a beast in the jumbo package and dress Cobb...would give us way more value and flexibilty than current roster...

He had one play where he pushed back his o-lineman while being held.  Last week he had zero positive plays.   That is all.  

Lawson wasn't exactly lights out himself,  but at least he makes a few plays per game when given a chance.  It's better then none or one in this case.

On a long list of weaknesses.  All he does is bull rush.  He has absolutely no moves or ability to get off of a block.  The O line never have to concern themselves with what he’s going to do…. They know it’s straight ahead every time.  Makes for a real easy night.

watch any game when he is in and teams decide to run...they let him get out of his stance and as he has no hand skills or ability to fight off a block...(partly because he needs one hand to prop up his head so he doesn't topple over...watch for that as I not making it up) and they just wash him left...or right as the runner glides right by....or thy just bully him and spin him around so his back is to the line...

And we trot him out there play after play after play

The key part of 4th quarter were we had 2 defensive stands that kinda sealed th deal...wasn't on field....crucial last drive Elks had...there he was for 4 consecutive snaps as the Elks rolled about 40 yards into our end

I was mad watching them kick off after the half and then they made it worse by taking Lawson and Willie off for the first few plays of that drive. That Oline did whatever it wanted to Thomas, no push at all. Rankin had a couple good runs and then the bust in the secondary.

ZC arm is not what it was but he had a good game once he warmed up....has he did enough this yr tho to validate an extension sight unseen...to be determined

Jones made some plays...but was also brutal in several too....there is that to consider....now if he can consistently be top level game in....game out then sure he is decent....but he still has holes in his game and they aren't little holes

Is he our best option?...who knows...but I doubt it and the fact they don't give a guy a shot who has already proven it in the league just to see who is better...well that in my opinion is bad rostering, as you should always be trying to be better....and we don't seem to want to find out...And if J.Jones is...and it pushes T.Jones to a rotational/situational role...where he would seem even better, then why not find out if it makes the overall team better?....

Also...was against a winless team as well....be that player in all games...against all comers....no?

I just don't get how some people have an adverse opinion to trying to put best team out there...but rather just be "ok" at times....and never know..
