Personally, I don't care who we dress or how we do it but for the love of all things Media, please shut Rourke down, and please don't let Strev be sacked by Betts......

I would love to see Mr. aggressive Betts bite a few RPO.......Ford made Betts look like a fast fool in the first game...

Someone on a podcast mentioned Betts had 6 DT's and 7 QB hurries in that game, so not too shabby.  Good test for the OT's this game, they know he's going around the outside, see how fast can they retreat.  Use MCI as a last defence guard dog.

He had the QB hurry, but Ford is such a great athlete he easily pulled away from him.......IF Betts played disciplined many of Fords biggest plays would not have happened......look I think Betts is a great athlete, he is fast, he has an amazing motor and cardio/conditioning is incredibly impressive, but until he shows me he can play a more rounded game I think while great at his one trick, he is just that a one trick and a good gameplan can take him out of his game.

They don't have much of an idea around the Offense though. Rookie OC with new weapons at his disposal. WPG has been able to watch what BC did last week and know what Buck likes to do better than anyone. Just need to stay away from turnovers.

We've had 2 weeks to prepare for them..seen their base scheme and ideology...we are relatively healthy for most part..at home....nobody has seen our actual offensive identity....no reason we should be unprepared...come out flat...or lose...if we do...I guess its the players fault eh?

Exactly that...take his game away and he disappears cause he has nothing else

And then he pouts and further erodes his game away

It's an O'Shea team so ST count big, those extra LB's are on the roster to help Mike Miller win his running street brawl.

Thing is, we are silly over run at lber and db even compared to normal. We could have teams help in other guys like bailey too. Its just an odd depth chart.

Last year BC came in here 5-1 for first game of a home and home.  Basically a chance for them to put us in their rearview for good, split the games and they'd have tiebreak plus be up 3 games.  Win both, up 4 games with tiebreaker.

Bombers were 2-6.

Vernon Adams was the MVP.

Bombers had 6 DL dressed.  10 LB's.  Schoen was gone.

BC had 1 first down in the first half.

I think we can put some trust in Jordan Younger to build his D to beat this team.

Bombers won here 25-0.

Bombers won in BC 20-11.

Bombers won the West Division.

BC averaged 12 points a game against the Bombers last season.  They didn't even get a chance to play us in the playoffs.

Now they have Rourke and Buck, so we'll see.

Given our overall roster, I'd rather see them not use a DI on a linebacker and/or not two on DBs.

I wouldn't expect Vaval to get any reps on D unless there are injuries.  He's on to return.

So put that guy who's a returner and does nothing else at DB, receiver, backup place kicker, does it matter?

Can't get too deep into the weeds here.

I watched that Edmonton game and wasn't super impressed with BC's offense.  Buck looked a lot like O'Shea in his first season as HC, kind of lost and not knowing what was going on most of the time.

Osh still has that look from time to time........

we had the exact same roster frustrations last year and our D was four points a game better than the next best D in the league.

and for all the talk of us clinging to veterans, I see we've moved on from Bighill and Alexander -- both super key veterans and leaders since they've been here, guys who were absolutely key in our GC victories.

think I'll let them play the games and then judge.

Keys to the game

ol. Lots of change, but we need them to play well together to get our offence going.

strevy. Gotta take what the D gives, not force throws or running. Play qb and run for easy yards if the opportunity is there.

Secondary. They need to start out hot this year for us. The Leo’s can move the ball through the air and get hot. If we limit them through the air it’ll give us a great shot.

Players to watch, Parker, Lawson, Randolph, and sterns. Those guys producing would give us a huge boost.

Just imagine how much better and totally dominant it could have..should have been then

Bighill made that decision easy being hurt and not available till labor day at earliest...not hurt...he'd be starting...don't kid yourself

things I'll be watching tonight:

D scheme -- How many down linemen will we use?  Who's getting the reps? How will we trade off pass rush vs. coverage?

BC running game and backs -- am anticipating BC will counter JY's match coverage with wheel routes and draw plays.  I think Butler is a better back than Stanback right now, so I think BC has upgraded here.

like everyone else, super curious to see what kind of offensive scheme they've cooked up for Streveler.
