2025 CFL (Non-Bombers) Season

From 3DN about TSN broadcasts this year....

"The CFL on TSN is taking a renewed approach to its broadcasts for 2025.

The network’s panel will travel to all nine stadiums over the course of the upcoming season, sources told 3DownNation, including visits to Regina and Montreal in Week 1. Kate Beirness is returning to host the panel with Henoc Muamba and Davis Sanchez filling the main roles alongside her.

Paul LaPolice will also frequently appear on the panel, though he will also perform colour commentary for one game per week. As previously reported, longtime panelist and Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan is no longer with the network.

As for Milt Stegall, who has been with the network since 2009, there is no timeline for his return after the death of his eldest son, Chase. The 20-year-old died unexpectedly at DePaul University on Monday where he was a member of the school’s soccer team.

“Our CFL on TSN family is absolutely devastated over Chase’s passing. If you know Milt, you know that his family is everything to him, and we cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now,” said producer Chris Edwards in a statement to 3DownNation. “Milt is our brother and we are going to give him our love and support him in any way we can, and in whatever way he needs.”

During a broadcast teeing up the 2025 season on Tuesday, TSN dedicated its coverage this year to Chase’s memory.

TSN plans to flesh out the panel by rotating in active players, though it doesn’t appear as though this will happen every week. Players will generally make panel appearances during bye weeks, though there may also be opportunities for in-studio appearances when players are in town to play the Argonauts or Tiger-Cats.

Friday Night Football, a longtime network staple, will have a brand new presentation featuring fresh animations, graphics, and music. One source called the scope of the production “bigger.”

The play-by-play personnel at the network has remained unchanged for 2025, featuring Rod Smith, Dustin Nielson, Marshall Ferguson, and occasionally Farhan Lalji. Colour commentary will be performed by Glen Suitor, Duane Forde, and LaPolice."

Honestly the main selling point of the CFL are the timing rules of the final 3 minutes.  And arguably the most boring part of any NFL game when a team with a one score lead can just bleed the clock un

One hit to the knees & both guys are done. Again. Bringing them back even after a 2 year absence is madness. Time to let them go. Rehab whatever they are entitled to & then cut them.

Nield would be a welcome addition here. He can run downfield & make contested catches. Clercius is a tank. And runs like one.

Can any former Rider receivers ever find happiness in the Blue & Gold? Would we Bomber fans accept Emilus or Nield? Look how hard it was for both Ryan Smith & Weston Dressler to play here. There was always a small group of Bomber fans who never forgave them for being former Riders.

Willie and Yoshi did not seem to have any issues here, being former Riders.

Nic Demski. And fans like that need to get over themselves.

Demski is a special case being that he's from Winnipeg & played for the Bisons. Not his fault the Riders drafted him.

I would.

He was at the end of his career by the time he came here so yeah he been associated with the Riders for so long that I can see that.  He also didn't have a big energetic personality that made you overlook that Rider stink.  Guys like Willie and Yoshi made it hard to dislike them.

Hardrick was hardly a Rider...one partial season and cut during season...

He was never totally accepted. By SOME fans. Not ALL fans. Like do we nee

That's what I mean. Like how hard is it to understand that, Piggy???? The more high profile the Rider player, the more hate.

Personally I enjoyed watching Dressler when he played for us. Doesn’t really bother me if a player comes from the Riders or any other team (we wash the stink off real quick) unless there are huge mitigating factors of said player where they have compromised the values they espouse as a club and as a community.

There were definitely some people not happy about bringing in Rider castoffs.  Worked out well for us in the end but there was doubt about him.

Thanks, that's all I was talking about. You'd read the odd grousing here on MBB as well.

Listen I'm the guy here mostly likely to have a beef with any former Rider, just based on hyper anti-Sask mentality... And, to my knowledge, I have ALWAYS said on here, once a guy left there to come here: "Get the Riders stink off him and we're good to go"...

And just last week I was begging for AJ Allen to come here... And there's nobody that hates Sask more than I do. Nobody.

And in other news, please God, let this happen....

If Toronto wants an experienced HC, looks like it's Campbell's job for the taking since both Steinauer & Mace have declined to be interviewed for the position.  Not sure why they would even bother asking Mace - can't see him leaving anytime soon.

Ballsy to go straight after guys like Mos, Coach O, and Mace. All balls, no brains approach, really. Mos I can see considering it because he was the career argo guy. The other two man IDK.

They gonna get desperate fast after letting dinwiddie walk.

I'm sure they let him walk thinking it'd be a slam dunk to get MOS to come back.  Now they're throwing s**t at the wall to see what will stick.

They should be, but I think they are far too arrogant to be as worried as they should be. If they were that smart, they wouldn't have let Dinwiddie walk, little on walk so fast.

Yuuup. The tone deaf nature of these inquiries screams red flag. Watch them end up with Chris Jones.

Chris Jones in Toronto would be very, very entertaining- for the rest of the league.

Traded away or let walk a lot of their talent  (sound familiar) and then expect someone of quality to take the reins...Ain't gonna happen...they'll end up with the bottom of the barrel and hope
