I was bummed mid way through the season when I realized that this team wasn't going to make it.

I thought maybe if they could back into a home playoff game they might be able to ride some momentum.

When they lost to Edmonton I resigned myself to the fact that they just weren’t good enough this year.

Last hurrah of CFL games played under Canadian Football rules before they move to modified American Football.

It does feel a bit like the 1994 playoffs... Rourke winning the Cup as the first Canadian QB to do it since 1969 feels very appropriate this year.

Id take him over Osh in a heartbeat

Yeah...totally lost their dline...top reciever Coxie missed most yr...not Dinwiddie fault...he who has won 2 of last 3 cups...

If you have to explain this to anyone it's a waste of time as they'll just double down because they're clueless anyway.

The Riders #1 receiver (IMHO) Keesean Johnson is not playing in the Grey Cup - he only practiced once this week due to injury.

Mike O'Shea, are you taking notes?

Not likely

The Riders are dressing 1 American receiver in the Grey Cup game.  You guys would be apoplectic if O'Shea did that.  Let's be honest.

Their receiving corps is Jakobi Meyers, Ajou Ajou, Kian Schaffer-Baker, Tommy Nield, Sam Emilus and Mitch Picton.

They better hope Montreal can't get out of the gates because they aren't scoring more than 20 points on O.

The Als defense is very good as are their Front 7. If they sack Harris & rattle him, it's game over. We've all seen his game crater under pressure.

ALs players were chilling at my work a bit last night. Didn’t recognize any honestly but Very friendly and find myself cheering for them now. Have seen people in green but honestly not as many as I thought. I did laugh when I saw 2 old men eating and drinking together. One wearing an als jersey the other a riders jersey and jacket. That’s the CFL.

CFL needs to promote how fan friendly the players are tho. And how they just are the average person compared to other sports. I’ve met jets players, they have come in also and honestly it’s kinda circus like at times, and they have this aura that they better than you and you know it. CFL players blend in. Humble. Normal. Down to earth. Your equal. Ace Burpee and Dave Wheeler are also bigger assholes than cfl players. Wheeler is brutal. I got some stories about him and weddings and wedding socials. Dude thinks he’s a huge star. It’s insane. Thinks he’s the biggest Winnipeg celebrity. He was nice to me tho I will admit. But just stories.

That's been the local Harris narrative since literally the beginning of the season. He's in the Grey Cup now.

The Riders never played the Als with Alexander. if he can go they won't win.

I coached with some former CFL players over the years. Their kids played with both my sons. I never met one former player who had a big ego. As you say they were all down to Earth. They were grateful that people remembered them.

Random TD MB stuff from Sat...

It sounds like the start of a joke, but Koala, Jake, Stan, Lapo and O'Day all together by the bar.... Wondering if JOD wants another C....?

Stan is just a really big dude... Like not at all fat, but just big....

Koala and Jake were together every time I saw either of them tonight and I chuckled thinking about what MBB would say about that...

There really is a cockroach infestation in our fine city and we desperately need the Als to beat them down like it's the 2023 Banjo Bowl all over again...

I guarantee they're just the nicest guys on the planet. **** all the noise here.

Jake is for sure a great guy. I’d buy it of kola too. I mean they haven’t been playing on merit of their on field contribution.
