I hope it's nice. I'm getting a nice treat that game. Was nominated for coach of the week. My club (Rods) get $500 donation and I'm getting a $100 GC to the Bomber store and get to go on the field for

Is this not the local reporters vote?

Ah yes you are right! What’s the players vote one?

“Voting was conducted by four local members of the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) as well as the local team’s head coach.”

This is the players vote.

This is the nominations for the year end awards

The winners were selected by each team’s head coach and the local voting members of the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC).

'Lifetime achievement award' because... who else on you gonna pick on the line this year. I don't think anyone is going to argue that Bryant has any business being in any Most Outstanding Lineman discussion this year

I think Demski deserved MOP.

Brady is the right pick here. Leading the league in Yards from Scrimmage despite missing 2 full games and all but a single drive in another. Demski is a nice sentimental pick but just barely broke 1000 yards on the season

I don't think this is any kind of hot take... We have no business being in the running for any individual awards, aside from Vavals 2....

He was on pace for a career year but the last few weeks derailed that (0 yards against Ottawa in week 16 and then only 5 against Edmonton in week 19).  Had he stayed healthy and put up some good numbers the last couple weeks (questionable with this offense) he might have been in the conversation but yeah not the MOP for me.

sucks for demski. I’d say brady was a bit better and neither wins any way. Surprised at holm, but the D was pretty meh. I thought jones would get it but wouldn’t have given it to him.

I bet vaval wins teams and not rookie

Nobody stood out on D but holm is definitely Mr consistent so that’s a fine choice to me. Jones has a bunch of tackles but like 3 is for no gain or a loss.

Lawson Jr would have been my defensive pick. Who else could make so many tackles while falling down?

He should also win an award with how much growth he continues to show from day one to now.

In all honesty...Woodbey should get the nod even in his limited games...best defender bar none along with Griffin

Holm tho not a detriment has had more suck this yr in games than MODP type play

Officially a Sold Out Season. Credit to Wade and all the front office staff. Really nice piece from Our Man Tait, talking about the work that's gone into it and I'm encouraged to read that Wade is already planning on "bigger and better" next year, so it doesn't seem like he's going anywhere...

According to Jeff Hamiltion in today's Free Press, Ottawa is interested in O'Shea if his time here ends. Would solve two teams' needs at the same time.

That's a bit of a stretch.  Hamilton at no point says they are interested in him - only that he (Hamilton) would want him, if he was running the show out there.  His exact words:

If I’m the Redblacks, I’m considering going after Mike O’Shea to bring in a new culture.

I get the feeling that Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group (OSEG), the owners of the Redblacks, isn’t all that interested in doing an exhaustive search to replace GM Shawn Burke and head coach Bob Dyce, so bringing in an established leader such as O’Shea would be a quick solution.

And I shudder to think who we might tag as the heir apparent to O'Shea.

There's a dearth of quality coaches in the CFL .. for all our pissing and moaning, we have it pretty good (with that said, everyone has an expiry date).

Osh's problem right now is that he has seemingly lost the fire he had early on. Fat and sassy, content with the success.

If he can get that fire back he is as good as anyone.

but he was a basic unknown...bit of a outlier choice as he really had minimal experience too....As long as you do the homework and don't hire an absolute fool you will be just fine. Osh had really just name recognition in regards to people knew who he was....nothing else really in regards to coaching acumen...A ST coordinator as his only pro coaching job. I wouldn't be concerned if we still have Miller an Walter's at the helm....They not gonna gut the whole upper echelon here....90% of time in sports you start at HC...Unless Walter's has let it be known he is not looking to continue on....and even then very very rare you saddle a new G.M with a HC from a previous faltering regime....so if that's the case then Miller may be filling 2 spots

or he has evolved as much as he can, and his way, methodologies and ability to adap and how to structure a lineup t is being left in the dust now....cause a lot of the r3cent failing is based on how we and where we allocate players on roster be it with ratio...vet use....whatever....but it has yr after yr since cup win 2 slowly degraded to one of the weaker across the board units

and you are right...h's got complacent and believes he is smartest guy in room again and no need to change...is it stubborn stupidity....laziness....a combo f both....but needs to be rectified either by a change up...or him actually going in a bit of a new direction

no they wouldn’t lol. Bc, ssk, Montreal,Hamilton, and Calgary wouldn’t let him in the door. Toronto wouldn’t either if they had half clue. But I see a slight chance they can dinwiddie for their record.

IF MOS left, bet they would hire Younger.

Was thinking the same thing. I really like jy.  I’d like to see how is D operates with out the silly handicapping of the roster. He isn’t even close to ready for that yet though.

If I was gonna hire from inside, and I wouldn’t, the only guy on the coaching staff i’d consider is Hall.

Basically none of what you have said here is true lol.

J.Hamilton loves to spread rumors to spread controversy about the bombers at inopportune times, Just before we played Hamilton he writes an article about how Lawler was dissed as we didn't talk to him before Mitchell.

Likely OSheas/Walter fate will be determined by the playoff game performances
