Just put him on the FatBoi diet and he'll be tiptoeing up to the play in no time!

Yeah i think they just enter the height/weight for Williams twice (both listed as 6'1, 190).    Most places have him listed at 6 or 6'1 and around 255.

be nice if we signed a current situation signing and inserted said signing...they are out there but when you have the mindset "we good" and the belief that things will just work...cause they so happened to do so 4...5 yrs ago.well you get a less than stellar roster that can compete...but not finish the deal

I go back to Demario Houston who was here with hall as DC and now Younger. Even Houston a vet admitted he needed a few weeks to get the terminology and schemes down. I would guess for a guy brand new to Canada never mind the cfl, it’s gonna take some time to get used to everything. I think our D scheme is a little more complex than BCs. BC spent money on betts and the DL and want the sacks. We seem to be content with just pressure and if we get a sack in the process, great. I feel some teams D live and die on sacks and pressure, ours ? Not so much. But then I see B.C. has given up 454 points through 16 games. Bombers 373 through 15. Weirdly enough riders given up the least. Then it’s us Calgary and Montreal at 373 through 15 games. BC actually well. Toronto has given up the most then BC then Hamilton then Ottawa. Then there’s a gap but Edmonton also over 400 points given up. Everyone else? Under

Last 4 weeks BC held CGY to 23 & 24, TOR to 22, and OTT to 27.  Their big problem right now is the number of penalties they're taking.

In summary, BC sucks?

Yes I do indeed need new material. 🙂

While seemingly contradictory, redundancy and accuracy occurs in many contexts. You’re good.

We don't get pressure though...

But our D has allowed 70 less points in the same number of games. Sacks and pressure is nice but doesn’t lead to points not being scored against.

Cmon, memory is selective, for example Burke was fired wasnt he? His team had the 2nd worst passing defence in the league, finished 3&15, you think he wouldn't be torn apart by this crew?

The only thing that was on his side was having GM Mack to complain about the first 6 games

Every head coach gets complained about even one thats taken their team to 5 grey cups I complain about him as well it basically comes with the job

Very few fans complained about MIke Riley. He was pure gold winning two Grey Cups in 3 years. Always smiling, great to deal with as fans or with the media. Total opposite of his father, Bud who was Head Coach from 1974-77.

So imagine if we could get pressure how good the D would be.

They don’t seem to care about pressure and sacks as much as other teams. They have allowed 70 points less than the guys who do tho. So whatever the bombers are doing is working better than what B.C. is doing. You and others want them to concentrate more on sacks and pressure. That’s not really the Younger way tho. Our D is built around our defensive backs really. It’s built around coverage and basically confusion. It’s not about sacks and pressure and hasn’t been since JY took over really.

The old Jake Thomas running straight and being pushed to the ground technique works wonders!

That maybe the case for BC but it doesn't apply to every team.  The Riders have allowed the fewest points and has the 2nd most sacks (almost double our total - 38 vs 20) so you can get after the QB and still be successful at not giving up points.

The stats don't lie and it's worked for us as we're tied for 2nd in points allowed but it's a very different system JY has installed and not one that I enjoy watching (frustrating as hell seeing opposing QB's have all day in the pocket) and I know others feel the same - Doug Brown has stated he would hate playing in this system as there seems to no regard for pressuring the QB.

I don’t disagree. As a fan I loved the pressure and sacks. It made me jump out my seat and cheer. I honestly prefer the more I’ll call it aggressive D. I still do. I’d love for them to really get at the QB. But they don’t and haven’t since well it’s really since Jeffcoat “retired” but I’m just saying whatever they do is working pretty well also. I’m also pretty sure it’s our O who has **** the bed more. I mean pretty sure hogan has taken more heat than JY. Maybe it’s time JY took some heat tho also.

Brown might enjoy the D tho as he was a legit elite defensive tackle. But you put him in there in his prime and take Jake out and maybe it’s likely we do have more pressure and sacks just cuz the talent level between a brown and any of our current DTs is so far apart that brown just makes our ends better

The difference in Completion Percentage between Bombers and the #2 Riders is 5.2 percent... the difference between the Riders and #9 Edmonton is 3.7. The Bombers have been riding that and a pretty serviceable special teams to limit TDs
