Really easy to always say that there's some mystical coach out there that would be a better fit.  We've been through generations as CFL fans watching teams including our own who keep believing that.

He got us a win and dragged that calgary game to OT when collaros was well on his way to losing it in regulation.

This **** talking of streveler is insane.... dude didn't forget how to play, our offensive coaching was hotngarbage last season.

If he had a decent play call in those games we might’ve seen the last of zach.

Not that I'd ever want that....but I'm honestly not sure Fajardo would ever come play for a team whos fans mocked him so much.

the rider fans were the hardest on him imo.

Buck does not know how to utilize skill seys.....or venture out of his comfort zone or the box so to speak

Even with a raw rookie OC with no experience....But Jackson's influence and presence...I bet we way better off

I wish I had an inside view as to what happened last year. Buck flashed potential in the past, saw some great game plans LT start games, and some really good adjustments. He let zach do what zach is best at for a while.
That all changed soo hard last year, I feel like some thing had to have been up.

Pure speculation, but I wonder if he wanted Dru brown to take over.

I confess that I may be way off base here since I haven't bothered to go look it up, but I'd bet you a coke that Dukes has a better W-L than Streveler.

Team stats, GTFO with trying to use that ****. Argos are a good team and have been every time dukes got to play (or do you really think it was Chad Kelly that earned all those wins 2 seasons ago?)

Most of strevelers starts with the Bombers were prior to them fixing their **** on defense in 2019.

Cody would come here if he felt God was telling him too or you know if we offered him the most $$$.

Bombers were a club with a winning record in '18 and '19. Behave.

Fun fact - 10 yrs ago today the Goat of Goats #66 on the field but #1 in your hearts, Stanley Bryant signed with the struggling WPG Blue Bombers, starting the path that would lead to the creation of an absolute CFL powerhouse team, the likes of which hadn't been seen in decades!! Just a ******* LEGEND!!

18 for sure he had a solid cast around him. Not like Dukes though. 2019 is a bit of different story. There were lots of ups and downs during that season and the team didn't really become what would lead to the most dominating defense in CFL history, until the playoffs. Strevelers was slowly being turned into what he is now at that point though. He hasn't ever played with the offensive talent that Dukes has outside of some OL and RB.

Also...Streveler is 4-8 as a starting CFL QB....I'm not sure what Dukes record is but it's gotta be right around that

Training camp will only be 7 months out from Streveler tearing 3 ligaments in his knee. Streveler is superhuman but it sure seems like Patterson is an insurance policy in case of any setback or delay.

I get that for sure but could Wilson not do that role and then have a prospect as the 3, or is that too much? Plus Banana is under contract so...... I still don't get Patterson.

Competition is never a bad thing

Too lazy to do the math, is that right? 7 months seems soo short I thought he was hurt early last year. But those early weeks and month to two was pretty bad.

Depends when he had the surgery. He was playing hurt for a lot of the first half of the season but was it LDC or BB that he got REALLY ****** up and had to have surgery?

I'd rather start Banana than Patterson and I don't like the idea of Banana starting.

Be a lil over 8 months come start of camp...Adrian Peterson came back in 8.....He told me 2 were surgically repaired...pretty sure that what he said.....and I think the Paterson signing is in case he isnt totally ready...best of him and Dolegala will be rostered if ZC goes down and Wilson struggles....or they wanna just keep Wilson doing short yardage and involved and allow Strev to come in as the number 2

I supposed to be going to Arizona for some camps in the early spring...but may not now as an anti-american stance...if I go was gonna track him down and gauge where he at...catch some balls

The injury was Sept 7, I believe he got surgery towards the end of September.

Rookie camp opens May 7. So that would be exactly 8 months since the injury, and a little less than 8 months since he really started rehabbing. It's definitely possible to come back in that timeframe and I think he'll be good to go, but there are no guarantees.

Hoping CS takes a similar path of ZC when a lot of us when ZC was signed here were thinking is he done but he said NOPE.

With a patented Ritchie Hall bend and break soft D in 18 and most of 19 until the end when they solidified the secondary and dominated the playoffs.

AS the Eages showed....dominant secondary with an attacking tenacious dline...with pressure....you can control a game....we get the guys up front....thats us..

Correct.  We were sitting above the Bombers' sideline - Strevy was absolutely livid after the hit.

That was an extraordinary win for the Vic fangio style defense. The same we ran sooo much of last year.

0 blitzes, 6 sacks, 15 pressures on 32 pass plays. Almost a pressure on every other snap.

He's raw. Last year was his second year and first starting. IF you aren't going to put arbuckle in in a situation like that, why have him on your roster?

Remember, Wilson is OLDER than dukes still. He was a young guy forced into action virtually right away. You know what you get with Arbuckle, if a D has a chance to prepare for him they should beat him. Dukes is still largely an unknown he hasn't had the chance yet to try to adjust to how teams play him.

Like I said, I'm not crazy about Dukes, arbuckle, or either rider off cast qb. But Dukes easily has the most potential of that whole group. All 3 are old and well-exposed in the CFL.

Dukes is still trash. He had a pretty good OC & QB coach in Dinwiddie & he still struggled. He doesn't have the pedigree as an NAIA qb at Lindsey Wilson College.

4 man legit pressure...constant....we need 6 guys up front that are studs to replicate that

Yup. I think it’s actually easier in the cfl, if you have a nose and a couple 3 tech guys who can rush out of a 30, even more so if you have an end who can rush standing up. Guys who can kick in and outside are tremendous.
Soo many rushers get caught up going one way only. Power or speed. By the fact is inside the line most teams are weak to any thing more than vanilla. Especially bit elite import athleticism. Stove wasn’t the best technical rusher inside. He was monstrously strong with incredible power. Using quickness to hit hard and drive angles around guards is money in the cfl. Casey sayles does it really well.

We had that in 2019 & 2021. Instead of replacing veterans as we went along, we went to another style of defense that could win lots of regular season games but when we absolutely had to shut a team down to win a championship the past 3 years failed miserably. I just remember watching Thomas against the Argos being stood up & pushed back every play with our useless 3 man front.

We didn't want Sayles.

You know what's crazy to me? Jake Thomas needs only 1 sack and 16 games played to exceed Stan Mikawos (Bomber HoFer) in each category. Crazier still if COVID didn't cancel 2020 he might have already pulled it off. Is Jake Thomas actually a future Bomber HoFer?
