Really easy to always say that there's some mystical coach out there that would be a better fit.  We've been through generations as CFL fans watching teams including our own who keep believing that.

We've now got way too.much money tied into a positional group that should really be your cheapest...add Thomas into that mix and somebody is gonna face the "sorry we can't pay you " talk...which sucks as it's likely Dobson and or Ford...or both

Not really...he not even gonna be ready to open season so why allocate anything now...good chance nobody will until spring to see where he at

Cole will add way more value...versatility...and youth at a nice chunk of change less than Biggie...

Sure but like I said, it's a math problem as well. I'm hoping Ayers is back. I can't remember if we had 4 import LB's on the roster at the same time. Cole we be # 4 IMO for the reasons you mentioned but are we convinced O'Shea are willing to not put Bighill on the roster. To a certain degree I was surprised we re-signed Wilson so that leads me to think we might see Bighill returns.

That’s a tough one. Not counting dbs taking half the snaps at wil last year and sams prior to Kramdi, we’ve frequently had 3 with a di lber playing teams.
I believe we have a few times had 4 imp lbers just between wil and Mac.
In 18 I believe we had all of biggie, wild, jsk and kyrie on the ar once or twice.

Now we have Kramdi at SAM, otherwise there would be 3 starting import LB's and probably a DI. Things have changed with starting more than 7 Canadians overall in the past couple of seasons. I think we expect to lose Ford one way or another. What happens on the OL if we lose Dobson could change our ratio.

I'm not against 4 import LB's on the AR so it's a wait and see who we do or don't re-sign including another import LB in free agency.  There are always some good ones potentially available like the one the Argos released. Where any of them fit in regarding SMS is the other question.

Its all kind of blurred lines now. If you got a guy like cole who can play some sam and S and is really good on teams while also being able to play wil it's easy to see him as a 4th imp lber. Even Ayers, Could be groomed to do some of that and brings a ton of value on teams.

Here's something that will make us want to throw salt into our cornflakes instead of sugar. Today is the 6th anniversary of Darian Durant signing with the Bombers.

It help us win a Cup (albeit indirectly)

I see the salt in your corn flakes...and propose that we also throw some manure in his general direction.

I'd expect we have the kicker, a returner, a DL and a DB as DI's. Since we start 8 Canadians we have roster within the ratio to have one import that is on the AR but not a DI.  As you've suggested it's blurred at the moment. Do choose to start 4 imports on the DL with the Canadians as the rotation players and still have an import DL as a DI?

Cole could be the DI or extra as a substitute DB but I don't think that would be the direct choice if we add him. IMO he'd be used in a more traditional role as a LB rather than a coverage player per se.

All of this is somewhat in the expectation of losing Ford and giving us 1 more ratio option than we'll have needing to start another import at CB.

It also presumes we do not lose Ayers and choose not to re-sign Bighill.

I'm waiting to see what happens with both of those questions.

There should be more players re-signing this week but which happen 1st is a TBD.

Dare to dream but with the bodies we have already idk.

Imagine if Walter’s whole thing about over spending cus we host the gc this year was for deception lol. Fa starts and we go full bc scooping guys. Man that’s be soo sweet.

ol and dl are what I’d really like to see us spend on. And spend well.

Walters cannot possibly commit to blowing the wad while he tries to get value for every dollar up to the verge of FA. He will spend once that door opens until then he would be foolish to say that he has dollars to spend.

Nah....I feel sorry for him. He has to live his life as Darian Durant.

Anyone else wonder why it's taking so long to hire a new OC? Maybe we will hear something this week. Rumours?

Noticed Durant has gone back to milking his Rider roots, guesting on The Sports Cage semi-regularly, guess he's found that one place in the wide wide world that will pay him some attention.

Can we have our money back DD you milked from us? Oh wait it was the BB's fault for not being family friendly enough for you, sorry I forgot.

And carry the stigma of having been a Rider. A fate worse than death.

Nah.,...he was one of the bus drivers of that stigma in recent times. He has to wear it because he was impactful in it's creation. No player wears the modern time locker room problem that the RIders are an undisciplined bunch of prima donnas more than Darian Durant. He was a chief architect of their locker room spiral that they still can't figure out how to correct. However, I do agree that being a Rider, at any time, is problematic.

He was outright begging for a job with them this offseason, but Bomber legend Harris got it instead....OUCH! That's gotta hurt hey Darian?

Coincidentally, Harris has also gone to the one place they will polish the knob unconditionally. Ego-maniacs and narcissists just love the Rider fan base. Not suggesting that DD or AH are either of those, but I'm not saying they aren't either.

Bombers signed DB Quandre Mosely.

6 foot 1, played at University of Kentucky, bounced around the NFL for a couple of seasons.

The guy seems to be pretty fast.

4.38 40. Looks like a super dynamic athlete with tremendous size for db. His fit for our system is exceptional as well. Blue chip prospect for sure.

Also a really big factor is hes a huge teams cover guy. Looks like a more athletic version of Cole/ayers. Much leaner than Ayers and a bit leaner than Cole, but same kind of tool set.

Torontos Mike Miller. I wouldn’t be surprised if the oc is already a done deal but they just haven’t announced it to troll some of you.

Yep.
I think they just do things in their own sweet time and don’t gaf if it has negative side effects.

I mean. Zach. Brady. Lawler likely. Demski. Mitchell. Clercius. Woli. Wheatfall. Wilson *** Schoen ****.

i don’t think they going after free agents on the O side of things unless oline.  Didn’t stop Mitchell from signing with us. Prob not a huge deal to players. The 5 cup finals prob means more and $$$$$$$$$
