Riders at Bombers WF Chat

Man, they're quite cocky over there right now. They played a decent game, nothing scary, we aint BC.

Hope WJ shows up on Saturday. Harris will kill us if we don't get pressure.

Oline needs to have a good game. Keep Zach upright and open holes for Brady.

Game will be won in the trenches.

I hope every media outlet picks the Riders to win handily. I'm disappointed we're starting the week as 4.5 favourites.... There's nothing so powerful as Osh and his Us Against The World rhetoric.

I dont think he ever uses rhetoric like that or really cares/notices what media and the likes say

That was a Dave Ritchie thing.

Harris has been the better QB this year.

Sure,  but would take ZC or TH all the time every time if both were offered up.

Oh and I've never liked you.

Riders suck.

I’m expecting big games from Brady and the OL. Prob Demski and Lawler. The DL? I’m not sure what to expect. Perhaps they surprise us with the depth chart this week.

zach? He did play well vs Montreal. Had decent numbers. Limit the picks and turnovers and he should be good. But Autumn cold weather Zach is kinda not great. Hopefully it’s warm. Plus 11 around the start. That’s above average.

I expect our D to be more aggressive tho. It’s win or go home. Same with the O. I expect Bucks best game of the year calling plays. I think now’s the time to unleash the beasts.
With the right guys on the field our DL in particular could go off and have a day.

Is Trevor Harris a noted cold weather hero?

Playoff Stats

Passing:

  • Years: 2015-2023
  • Games: 7
  • Completions: 173
  • Attempts: 264
  • Completion Percentage: 65.5%
  • Yards: 2,143
  • Touchdowns: 14
  • Interceptions: 5
  • Passer Rating: 94

NOTE: He doesn't need to be a cold weather hero. He just needs to do what he's done all year.

QB A: 190/262 2392 Yards, 13/6 TDs/INTs

QB B: 177/260, 2318 Yards, 13/7 TDs/INTs

QB A is Harris. QB B is Collaros... not much difference there since week 11 (this is 8 games for Harris and 8.5 for Collaros)

Harris got off to a really good start before getting injured. Collaros got off to a disastrous start. Since the Bombers came back from the first bye and Harris back from his injury they've been remarkably similar.

I said cold weather not playoff... cause his stats last week were in a nice cozy dome.

Most of the knock on collaros is his cold weather ability... which is not something Harris is noted for either.

Harris is what he has always been. Dink and dunk and gain yards between the 30s and have a huge completion percentage. Settle for fgs. He's a lapo dream.

Collaros has had a poor year, especially his start to the year, but I truly believe he's been at his best all season the last month or so. Offense around him has been dicey but collaros himself gives me confidence at this time.

Why go 8.5 games for one and 8 for the other? Wouldn't 8 to 8 be a better comparison or 7 to 7 for that matter.

0-2 vs Collaros.  0-1 vs Collaros for a half and basically no ability to get a first down with Streveler in the 2nd half of Labour Day.

As mentioned, this is from Week 11, so inclusive of season weeks 11 to 21.

Riders had byes Week 15 and Week 20 (and Harris didn't play Week 21). Bombers had the week 15 and week 20 byes as well. If Harris would have played Week 21 they both would have gotten 9 starts, Collaros only played the first half in the LDC. Including week 3 for Harris to get him to 9 starts seems to defeat the purpose of "Since week 11"

Got run out of two cities for being unable to win in playoffs.

Harris telling his parents to book their flights to Vancouver. Love that bulletin board material

Id post this inside the Bombers locker room as fuel to motivate the boys.

he's won jackshit his whole career based on direct play from him....don't expect things to change now

Plus they have Mueller as OC...who is probably bottom of the barrel in that regard as well...and if we throw some twists or something new at them...can't see him solving it in game

We play smart and clean...and adjust as required...we win...we are just better...from top down....and we are at home and have had 2 weeks to prepare...so hopefully this much applauded coaching staff shows why it should be applauded

Can you break out the QB data for both from Aug. 1 until season's end? I think that you would know why.

As a starter, Harris is 3-5 in the playoffs.

2017 ESF - 31-20 loss to Sask

2018 EF - 46-27 win over Ham

2018 GC - 27-16 loss to Cgy

2019 ESF - 37-29 win over Mtl

2019 EF - 36-16 loss to Ham

2021 ESF - 23-12 loss to Ham

2022 ESF - 28-17 win over Ham

2022 EF - 34-27 loss to Tor

2-2 in east semi finals, 1-2 in east finals, and 0-1 in the Grey Cup. He has never played in a western playoff game (crossed over while with EDM).

He has set the playoff completion percentage record twice and currently holds the record with a 92.3%, set in the 2019 east semi final. He also holds the record for most consecutive completions in a playoff game with 22 and most TD passes in one playoff game with six (versus Hamilton in the 2018 East Final).

When it matters, like in the red zone, Harris sucks.

But, as is predictable, you know who is going to pump his tires.

just amazes me that after year and years of the exact same thing from Harris people still hype it up to be this huge thing.... he dinks, he dunks the end.

Anyone coming up against the Bombers gets the benefit of the doubt with some posters. If it were VAJ, the same thing would be happening.

They said the same thing about MBT earlier this year before we stuffed him in a locker.
