Training camp is over .... adjustments have been made  and its time for the opening kickoff

Anybody change their minds on how preseason changed their expectations for this year .... Montreal thrashing Ottawa changed mine .... cutting Willy raise my hopes for the Argos .... Edmonton looks stronger than I first thought and Regina even worse

For the first time in years I am forecasting Winnipeg finishes first in the league  .. just an optimistic hunch .... I forecast these final standings:

Winnipeg

Calgary

Vancouver

Edmonton

Ottawa

Montreal

Toronto

Hamilton

I think that the CFL needs to draft that ref  on the right goal post there too.  He seems to actually be in position and watching the play.

thats a shame.. hopefully Ike catches on somewhere else.  Always liked Ike.  i'm always rooting for ex-bombers.

Ike is the type of guy I'd like to see get some consideration as a DC. Get some new blood in these coaching roles.

Sure.. just not here. He may or may not be a good coach. Tough to say but Ottawas secondary was brutal this season.

I don't think hes ready for Co-ordinator role yet.. nope.   I'd bring him in as a positional coach tho.

Jefferson re-signs with Riders. Best de in the league imo. Imagine the numbers that guy could put up if there was any talent around him on their dl.

What I don't understand is why any player, especially a good one with any brains, would sign there. I mean, all they have to offer is a crappy new stadium, a whack-job coach/GM, and a delusional fan base. Unless, these players are being slipped some filthy lucre under the table.

I thought Masoli was really good down the stretch. Especially once Jones took over. Could be a dark horse for a breakout year next year.. similar to Matt Nichols in Winnipeg.

Agreed.  Masoli still has a lot of potential and he seemed like a perfect fit for June Jones offence.

He missed way too many open throws to be a consistent starter in the CFL unless he rapidly improves. He’s good enough to compete for the starting job, but I wouldn’t hand it to him without stiff competition. 

I get the same feeling about him that I got from Jonathon Jennings after 2016. Despite putting up some nice numbers and having some good games, I’m not sold on him as a starting QB long-term yet.

he definitely changed my opinion of him this season.. I had him pegged as a one trick pont a la Lefevour.. not so much, apparently.

meh, hes been on the shelf for a long time and was working within an offense not 100% tailored to him... lets see what happens next season.  I think he may continue to open some eyes.. he probably knows this is his 8 mile moment lol.

Top tier guy.  Amazing size, experience for his age, and skills. I dont think any one is the best end in the league at current. A bunch of guys in that top tier who are interchangeable with different up sides.  My favorite none bomber end would probably be hughes. Hes soo savvy with playing pass lanes, attacking the football, just does every thing well. 

We are gonna be in an interesting position next year. Poop deserves to be nfl bound imo. That push he has up the middle is damn near once a generation level stuff from a DT.  Nevis is a FA, Jake thomas and westerman too. Jeffcoat could have an out side shot at an nfl camp invite this year but I doubt it. If he starts a full year next year though with how he progressed this year I could see him gone after that pretty easy. 

Ogopogo came into his own late, corney showed more flashes but would be a big jump up if he had to replace westerman.
