US Politics

Lets see if we can keep this thread a little more civil.

I found this interview very interesting.  A lot of soft balls thrown at Trump, he explained his back pedalling on his more extreme issues as a lot of his claims as opening bids for negotiation purposes.  Which .. whatever .. I still think that those are insincere claims he used to get elected.

He does now come across way more presidential then he did prior to the election.  A lot of his noise, yelling, and rhetoric has been scaled back.

Do respect this one though:

Lesley Stahl: Are you gonna take the salary, the president’s salary?

Donald Trump: Well, I’ve never commented on this, but the answer is no. I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year. But it’s a -- I don’t even know what it is.

Donald Trump: Do you know what the salary is?

Lesley Stahl: $400,000 you’re giving up.

Donald Trump: No, I’m not gonna take the salary. I’m not taking it.

Well if a FOX reporter is condemning a Republican candidate, I'd say its an accurate account of what happened.

Mr. Kushner has played a very limited role in the White House.  Mr. Trump barely knows him.

What a cluster**** Trump's Presidency is. To say it's been a clown show wouldn't be doing it justice. Meanwhile Trump's hillbillies.jpg

Puffin' on Putin.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...;)

You know... nothing really shocks me about these news cycles anymore...

An excerpt:

Jared Kushner and the Russian ambassador to the U.S. reportedly discussed the potential to set up a "secret and secure communications channel" between the Trump transition team and the Kremlin, The Washington Post reported Friday.

Kushner — President Donald Trump's son-in-law and now a top White House advisor — proposed the channel at an early December meeting at Trump Tower, according to the Post, which cited U.S. officials briefed on intelligence reports. Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the U.S., reported that to his superiors.

Every 2 or 3 months Trudeau does something to upset and anger people. Every Bloody Day now... Trump does.

Man oh man. Guy ls a disaster and it's hilarious but sad and somewhat concerning that he's in charge and will be for some time. It's only been since what.... January sometime.  It's almost June. GONGSHOW

Meanwhile in Texas, the radical right continues to pass the Christian version of Sharia law.

Did we really go two days without some nasty news about Trump?

I dont know a lot about this but most articles say Obama's commitment was to raise the level of emission cutback from 26% to 28% over 2005 levels by 2025.  So really, an increase of 2%.

The FOX story calls it "reduce emissions by nearly 30%", which sounds like a lot more than 2%.

Im one of those people that thinks Global Warming/Climate Change has a lot more to do with natural occurrences rather than JUST "man made" but any effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions which are bad for the planet should be seen as a positive step forward.  Oddly, China is on board with this agreement...

The President of Mexico really doesn't like Trump.
