Lets see if we can keep this thread a little more civil.

I found this interview very interesting.  A lot of soft balls thrown at Trump, he explained his back pedalling on his more extreme issues as a lot of his claims as opening bids for negotiation purposes.  Which .. whatever .. I still think that those are insincere claims he used to get elected.

He does now come across way more presidential then he did prior to the election.  A lot of his noise, yelling, and rhetoric has been scaled back.

McCabe also went against the WH claims that Comey had lost support of FBI employees.

My only concern with this is that Trump had this guy in the oval office BEFORE elevating him to acting Director.  Since Trump flat out said he asked Comey if he was under investigation, we can strongly assume the conversation turned to the investigation.  I just hope he's not a pawn.  If anything these words and deeds by Trump should create more momentum to bring him down and more desire to get at the truth.

I love that when Trump was asked about the recommendation from his AG to fire Comey he couldn't even allow "credit" to a recommendation, he had to say no it didnt matter and he was going to fire him anyway.  What an ego.

"James Comey better hope that there are no 'tapes' of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press," the President tweeted.

 

When he fired Comey earlier this week, Trump garnered comparisons to President Richard Nixon and his infamous decision to remove the special prosecutor investigating Watergate crimes in 1973. The Watergate scandal accelerated drastically when it was revealed Nixon taped conversations in the White House. Trump didn't provide further details Friday on whether he was taping conversations.

Who knew, that telling the truth, could be so complicated?

Cheney was far better at bullying these agencies. He was elite.

Trump's team from Breitbartville  is way over its head.

They don't have a clue what to do.

 

On January Trump requested a dinner meeting with Comey. He demanded Comey pledge loyalty to him. 

Comey refused saying al FBI personnel pledge loyalty to the constitution not the President. 

We see what is happening here. I don't believe Trump could seize dictatorial powers. But he seems to think he can.  

And this behaviour seems to indicate a guy who lows there are some nasty skeletons in the closet and he wants people to protect him. 

Its really outrageous. 

Hahaha how awesome would this be? (It won't happen but hilarious to imagine Trumps reaction)

An ego that will lead to his impeachment and arrest. Admitting to obstruction of justice on national TV is damn stupid.

And it's no wonder with the GOP turning a blind eye to everything he's doing. They consistently put party over country especially when it comes to keeping power.

Republicans better get their heads on straight. If they keep letting trump do this, assuming Americans have learned something since the election, the dems are going to seize both houses and then it's going to be a damned reckoning

Don't know what his play is, why exactly he'd insist on a public hearing, since there will be classified stuff he can't talk about ....  but I will have my popcorn ready.

Twitter chatter about indictment rumours including Trump, Manafort and Flynn under sealed indictment. Imagine if that were true. One can hope 

North Korea pisses off the Russians as the missile test they had yesterday landed in Russia (I heard) about 75 klm from Vladavistok. Russian defenses on high alert.

Oh good, so Putin will tell Trump he can go ahead and attack North Korea.
