If Kyle Knox can't go and comes off the roster, they could activate Poop Johnson as a DI, with Santos-Knox starting at WIL with Briggs and Gauthier backing him up. I for one want to see Glenn with Poop all over him.

I'm not sure what you think you are entitled to here or how the OP is a sermon.   This is message board, he posted an opinion that you weren't even singled out in.  No one needs to justify why they would make a post like that.  If you would have taken half the time it took you to post all these demands that people do your work for you to look up a  post and just looked it up yourself, you would have found it by now.
Posters who prove themselves to be trolls will always be banned, regardless of who they are and where they come from.
I have always appreciated the perspective that other fan bases bring to a site like this, and would hope we could attract more to expand the community.
And I get the Riders are a Bomber rivalry and there is always going to be a back and forth between the two fan bases that is to be expected, but I'm with Mike on this one.   The behaviour of some posters here is down right embarrassing,  The exact same kind of crap that I see at Rider Fans and shake my head at.

Mike made a good comment in one of the topics and I thought it was worth while to mention it here.  We are often down and hard on how other teams (Riderfans.com) fans behave and how they treat everyone poorly but it seems that we have been getting to be very similar in a way with the new fans coming to the forum to discuss football.  I honestly understand that yes this is the internet and one needs a thick skin, but I do believe we as a group need to be better at not assuming every Rider, Lions, Hamilton fan is a troll.  I mean I find that there is more trolling going on in this forum by our own fans than the other fans (minus Mosaic).  We also should stop assuming every newbie fan who may not be super knowledgeable is Migs.  We were all very new once, I still consider myself the newbie to be honest.  But the forum would definitely be more engaging and fun if we can have more topics talking about football with many different perspectives; even if not all those perspectives are viewed through our blue tinted glasses.

    Cheers,

In the 1988 season, the Bombers hosted Hamilton in the East division semi-final. The Bombers had finished 9-9 that year, but lost their last 3 games, and everyone figured the powerhouse Argonauts were going to wipe the floor with whomever won the semi-final, so only 12,210 showed up for that playoff game. Then the Bombers went on to upset Toronto and met BC (who upset Edmonton) in the Grey Cup - we all know what happened next. Merch sales went through the roof after the Grey Cup win, and GM Cal Murphy joked "We are going to print up t-shirts saying "I was one of the 12,210" in honour of the true fans who never gave up faith and came out and spurred us to our Grey Cup run. We plan to sell 50,000 of them." They in fact did sell those t-shirts, and I'm pretty sure they sold more than 12,210 of them.
FYI, whenever the debate about who on this board is or is not a true fan starts up, and people point to:
    - how loud you are at games
    -how much beer you consume
    -how many jerseys you own
-what price point you buy tickets at
-whether or not you are "positive" enough on the fan boards
-whether you truly believe they will win every game
among other reasons as the criteria to determine "true fandom", just know that every one of those reasons is no basis to determine the issue.
FACT IS, THE ONLY CRITERIA IS "WERE YOU AT THE 12,210 GAME?" IF NOT, YOU ARE NOT A TRUE FAN. END OF STORY.
I WAS THERE, AND DIDN'T NEED A T-SHIRT AFTERWARDS TO TRUMPET MY ALLEGIANCE EITHER. SUCK IT, ALL YOU POSERS WHO CLAIM TO BE REAL FANS BUT WEREN'T THERE (ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO DIDN'T GO BUT BOUGHT THE T-SHIRT).  :-D

Assuming that the league does not take action right now, it seems to me that  if  fans are truly outraged, they can sway this quite easily:  stay away from any game that involves the Tiger-Cats at home and away.  Take the money that you would have spent at the game and donated to your local women's shelter and then let the CFL know that you've done it.
Will it hurt other teams?  Yes, but just watch how quick the CFL acts when the bottom line gets impacted.    Having said this, it would be a very sad day for the league if it actually has to come to this.  I'm hoping the commissioner does the right thing and "encourages" Hamilton to change it's mind on  this one.

I wonder what the media & fans in this country think about the way the game was presented on TSN with nothing else but the countdown to Lewis's record breaking catch as well as the way Rod Black went about it? I think he spoiled it for Nik & I wonder if fans watching, even non Winnipeg fans,  were getting sick of the whole thing by the end of the game? It's too bad as I think Lewis deserved someone better than Black's unprofessional call of the game last night. When records are about to be broken they really should let Chris Cuthbert do games like this. Can we start a petition for (at best) calling for the permanent removal of Rod Black from TSN football & (at the very least) to do less Bomber games?

Well friends, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers marched into La Belle Province tonight trying to get to 7 wins by the halfway mark of the season for the first time since the halcyon days of Kahari Jones (editor's note, actually they were 7-1 back in 2011), and more importantly to keep pace with the leaders in the Western conference heading into the Labour Day weekend. And despite the temptations of St. Laurent street, which has led more than one young player astray in the wee hours of the morning, the Bombers showed no ill effects as they jumped out to a 10-0 lead before the teams switched sides for the first time. But as we have come to expect with this team, nothing comes easy for them, and close games that come down to the wire are as predictable for them as it is to hear Nick Hill saying "Come ooooon down" during our commercial breaks. So it was no surprise to see the Alouettes storm back and tie the game up with a last second field goal to send us into overtime all evened up. But a little extra football never hurt anyone, and the Bombers got the job done when they needed to, and it all turned out nice again.
Now as is the custom after a game, I bestow the Happy Honker award on a player that in my mind is the most deserving of it. Now as you know, the Happy Honker ward does not usually go to the best player in the game, but is given to that player who did something just that little extra special, that made you stand up and take notice, that maybe made an impact on that one play. And for 60 minutes it looked like that player who was going to receive the Happy Honker Award was special teamer Ryan Langford, who ran down Stefan Logan when it looked like he was going to return kick all the way for a touchdown, which of course led to Maurice Leggett corralling a fumble 2 plays later and the All came away with nothing when it looked like they might get 7, and with the game going to overtime, those lost points certainly cost Montreal.
But the game did not end after 60 minutes, and so the Happy Honker does not stop there. We got an extra game, 2 extra games in fact, and therefore this Happy Honker is all about 2. In the first extra session, on down number 2 at the opposition 10 yard line. Matt Nicholas hit Clarence Denmark, who 95% percent of people may want to get rid of when the Bombers sign Derel Walker, or so I have read, and Denmark made a great grab, changed hands with the ball, and stretched over the goal line falling down for touchdown number 2 on the night, and that was a touchdown the Bombers absolutely needed to keep their hopes alive in the end, so that is Happy Honker #1. But as I said, this Award is all about 2, so there is a second Happy Honker tonight. In overtime #2, Darian Durant threw a pass over the middle but failed to see Chris Randle cutting across the field, and Randle made a beautiful play to get interception #2 on the night, and all that was left was for Justin Medlock to kick yet another game winning field goal to send the Bomber fans off happily into the night, and with it 2 points for the Bombers in the standings. So my 2 Happy Honker Awards tonight go to Clarence Denmark and Chris Randle, for 2 big plays on 2 overtime drives that gave the Bombers 2 big points.

It wasn't an attempted block, it was a block. It worked.
Although Nichols didn't 'have to', it shows that he is all in.
You don't think Reilly would do the same? He would. They're called leaders. You know, above and beyond...
As far as injuries, he could get 'trucked' any time, even avoiding blocks. He was ready, willing and able.

Absolutely no idea what HAM will show. Mood is reportedly light and upbeat.  Whether that's a reflection of being back home after a bad road trip or the coaching changes who knows but its better than fighting.
If I was WPG I would pound Harris very early and very often to test that interior. EDM ran over a very good HAM front seven last week. And there are changes there again this week.

    For your perusal..
    Game Day CFL Game Notes
After losing 8 of 9 meetings dating back to 2012, the Blue Bombers have won the last two games against the Ti-Cats. Matt Nichols led Winnipeg to a 38-11 win on Aug 3/16 to sweep the 2016 season series but Zach Collaros was out for both games.
Over the two games, Winnipeg created a 12-2 (+10) edge in Takeaways and won despite being outgained in each contest. Hamilton passed for 702 yards and 4 completions of 30+ yards but threw 5 interceptions in the two games, two by Maurice Leggett and one by Taylor Loffler. Andy Fantuz and Luke Tasker led Hamilton with 14 and 11 catches respectively.
Hamilton has played only one game against Eastern rivals thus far.
Nichols has now led THREE late 4th Quarter game winning drives in 2017 on top of 5 last year and so has engineered 8 in his last 15 starts. Overall in that stretch of 15 starts he has led Winnipeg to a 10-5 record.
Collaros now has a 10-game losing streak as a starter however and the most recent QB to have recorded that was Casey Printers across 2008-09. The CFL record for consecutive starts lost is 13 by Lynn Amedee 1963-64 (EDM).
The Tiger-Cats started well this year with 9 QB Sacks and 33 QB Pressures in their first 4 games. Over the last two contests however they have just one Sack and 8 Pressures on the opposing QB.
Justin Medlock reaches career game #100 this week and through the first 99 has accumulated 1,036 points (#22 all- time). His career totals cover: TOR 174 pts in 21 GP, HAM 559 pts in 54 GP, WPG 303 pts in 24 GP. Justin has averaged 12.6 points per game for Winnipeg, the highest average of any player in club history ahead of Trevor Kennard (9.8 per game).
Last week Hamilton ran the ball just 6 times at Edmonton for a season-low. Their 6 rushing plays matches the lowest by any CFL club since 2008 (Montreal at SSK on Jul 19/08, 5 rushes for 13 yards).
Darvin Adams: Has taken over the Winnipeg receiving lead and has made at least 4 receptions in every game this season. Adams, Bakari Grant (SSK) and Anthony Coombs (TOR) are the only players with 4+ catches in every game in 2017. Adams has been targeted 27 times in the last two games and leads the Bombers with 3 TD grabs and 3 receptions of 30+ yards.
Despite allowing the fewest QB Pressures in the CFL (28), the Bombers Matt Nichols has been sacked 11 times in the last 3 games pushing the total to 16 for the season (tied for #6). Winnipeg has yet to score a TD this season on any drive where they have allowed a QB Sack. Their TD% when NOT allowing a Sack is 25%, tied for 3rd with Edmonton and behind only Calgary (28%) and BC (27%).
The Bombers starting lineup has been the most consistent thus far with only 29 different players having at least one to date. For Winnipeg, 18 of a possible 24 players have made all 6 starts thus far, and 23 players have made at least 4 starts.
The Bombers are 9-3 on the road in their last 12 visits around the CFL compared to a 6-6 home mark since the start of 2016. They have had at least an even or better road than home record in 5 of the last 7 seasons.
Receiver T.J. Thorpe will get his fourth straight start since coming off the practice roster. The 24-year-old has quickly become one of Nichols’ favourite marks, averaging almost nine targets a game and has caught 20 of 26 passes thrown in his direction.
Zach Collaros had his best game of the season last week, throwing for 282 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. Receiver Damarr Aultman had a team high 74 yards and a touchdown in his CFL debut.
The Ticats rank last in the CFL in points and yards allowed per game.
    Numbers -
4 – League leading interceptions for Bombers defensive back T.J. Heath.
5 – Quarterback sacks by Jamaal Westerman, tied for fourth in the league.
487 – Average total yards the Ticats defence has given up through six games this, ranking last in the league heading into Week 8.

Saying Hurl is absorbing blocks at the los is just another way of saying that he can't shed blocks at the los to make a tackle, which is what a MLB is supposed to do.
